Hello - 1st time user of the mobile planner here & getting a bit tied up in knots! I am leaving the UK on Tuesday & have a reservation on Eurostar. I will travel from Exeter. The planner gives me a 10.15am Exeter train to connect with my Eurostar. I want to get an earlier train from Exeter but can't see how to change it. The filter to give me longer transfer time is already at the max. Any suggestions? Thanks

Basic Question About Time Zones When Making Seat ReservationsI have a basic question about making seat reservations from overseas, where there is a time difference.I live in Japan and plan to make seat reservations for European trains using my smartphone. When checking train timetables and making reservations through Interrail, are the departure and arrival times displayed in the local time of the stations, or are they automatically adjusted to Japan time based on my smartphone’s time zone settings? In other words, does the time zone setting on my smartphone affect the times displayed?Thank you in advance for your help.

On 12 August 2026, I submitted two requests for compensation: case numbers 1514958 and 1515024.On 23 September 2026, I messaged to say that I hadn't received any communication and asked when I could expect a response. To date, 19 October 2026, I have still not received any communication from you. There does appear delays in processing claim, but it would get reassuring to know that my claims are in the system waiting to be dealt with.@Interrail Community Moderator

Hey there, wonderful fellow travelers!I’m currently on a trip with friends and we are on our way to Scotland! Yay!  We were wondering what would be the best distillery to visit in Glasgow or Mallaig or Inverness! Do you guys have any tips?

Hi All.  First time user of the App!   I am , along with 2 children , are using a 5 day global pass during 20th Dec to 27th Dec I have called this ‘ Xmas Trip’ in the App  I have added manual journey for the train rides i think we will take.  Because I have the 3 passes on my App, when i save a journey ( Paris to Strasbourg ) it asks me to select the 3 passes.   So far so good.  When i check a few days later, a few of the journeys have disappeared- some from my trip, some from my daughters etc.   Ant ideas what is going wrong.  I have yet to activate the pass

Are you eligible to buy a senior ticket and would you rather sleep in a bed than in a tent? Do you have time outside the school holidays and are you interested in sharing parts of your travel adventure? Then you’ve come to the right place, and I look forward to hearing your stories. Perhaps a special group of senior citizens will form here.My Story: 1st Trip in 1979, then 1980, 1981, 1983, long time for business, kids and family, still beloved and married but interrail single, last trips 2024 and 2025. Now I’m planning a one-month trip (313€ yeah) for 2027, but I’m not yet sure exactly when or where I’ll be heading.

Hello, my name is Nolan. I am currently living in the UK and have the official proof of temporary residence but I’m not a permanent resident. Should I choose the Eurail Pass or Interrail Pass？Thanks a lot！

I bought four Eurail Global Passes (around €1,193) for a trip with my parents, who flew in from India to visit me. It was meant to be a relaxed European holiday for them. It became the worst travel experience I’ve had in years of living in Europe — and I say that as someone who works in customer success for a living. The pass is sold as a simple, flexible way to travel. In reality it failed us at almost every step. At Munich we were refused boarding on a full train and waited three hours with my elderly parents. On the Paris–Brussels Eurostar there were no pass-holder seats, so we were forced to buy full-price tickets on top of the pass we’d already paid for — paying twice for the same journey. We were hit with repeated mandatory reservation fees on other legs, spent around six hours reaching Brussels, arrived at 10pm, and lost a full day of pre-booked activities. Several travel days we paid for were simply wasted. When I complained, it got worse. Over two weeks my case was passed betwee

Hello, I want to apply for https://www.jugendherberge.de/en/membership/eurail/ German Youth Hostel Membership - but there is a “Please submit a copy of your Eurail invoice as a “PDF file”.” And I did not pay for my pass - it was granted to me as a part of a programme. How do I get an invoice or some other document that they will maybe accept?

Is there much difference in budget travelling in Scandinavia vs. south of Europe?   Food, hostels, etc.?

We booked 4 reservations on a Eurostar service from Cologne to Brussels on 2 August 2026. This service was cancelled but we have not received the reservation fee refund. I raised a Delay Compensation Request ticket on 27 August having failed to get a response to emails. I have not heard anything from Interrail since an acknowledgement that the response would take longer on 31 August. The ticket is #1536752

Hi, In March, April and May I’m planning a 3 months interrail trip in Northern Europe. Winter and Spring weather.Starting in the Netherlands to Denmark, Finland, Sweden, Norway and maybe even Iceland. In March it wil probably still be cold in Northern Finland and Norway. But in May it probably will be warmer in South Norway.  Different weather in 1 trip with only that much I can carry, especially with 30 different little public transport trips.  Does anyone has some advice about what bag, jackets and clothes I should bring? thanks in advance,Raf

Hy everyone, we are planning to visit Norway next summer and would like to know how to book only seat reservations from Oslo to Bergen train. On the Inter rail planner is stated that seats are free with a 1st class pass but in reality on www.vy.no site you can only buy tickets with seat reservation and not book the seats by free. Is anyone informed how it works? Many thanks

We are looking for recommendations for monasteries in Meteora we have 24 hours stay in Kalambakka, how many monasteries is practically possible to visit? anything we need to take care?

Hello,  okay, let s travel in our minds together:20 th to 25th October from munich to Strasbourg,Strasbourg to Perigeaux,Perigeaux to Toulouse, then need to be back in Berlin  between 1st November and 8th November.  travelling with 14 years child.   on the pass ideally also: one trips to Spain. Berlin (or Munich) to Alicante. have to reach on 16th December and leave (possible also by plane return).   additional tours … Bordeaux … Madrid  are optional.  best with Eurorail or single tickets. … have not been travelling like this for a while.

As an interrail addict I bought a 3 month interrail at last year's (2026) promo, planning to use it Februari - May this year. A broken ankle prevented me from travel. Latest start date is November 8. Obligations make it difficult to travel until mid-January. I will still use it form some small journeys. But is it still possible to get a refund of 90% or was that zero?(And yes, of course I'm buying a pass in the current sale)Thanks

Is it possible to use NS flex dal vrij within the Netherlands, and interrail from the border of the Netherlands into Germany or Belgium?I see this was discussed on the blog 3+ years ago, but the NSI pages have since changed. I have dal vrij, have been instructed by NSI that I need to purchase an intl ticket with 100% korting for every time I want to leave the country (which of course does not make sense, as then I only pay for the foreign part of the trip where the interrail pass is actually valid)? Is there any documentation or proof that one does not need to check in, or any way to approach this situation? Thanks very much.

Hi - I have purchased my 2 traveller passes , it’s visible on the website but I want to add both to the app. Although chatbot suggests I can do this by clicking on the + this isn’t working. Any help would be gratefully received. In addition, now that the website seems to be updated, do we have to use the planner app?

I want to travel on the Eurostar from St Pancras on Sunday 25th October 2026. There is not one service that I  am able to make a reservation on despite there being tickets available on the Eurostar website. Any suggestions? Thanks

I would like to know if the pass, in addition to including train tickets, also covers accommodation in the cities you plan to visit during your Interrail trip.
