Rail strikes in the Netherlands will impact train travel from 00:00 (12:00 a.m.) to 23:59 (11:59 p.m.) CET on 9 September. Due to the strike, trains will not run throughout the Netherlands that day.We recommend checking the planner in the Rail Planner App or the NS timetable shortly before departing for your planned journey for up-to-date train times. The international trains EuroCity, Eurocity Direct, Eurostar Continental and Channel, NightJet, ICE, and the regional trains Roosendaal-Antwerpen and Drielandentrein Liège-Aken will not run in the Netherlands.

A heatwave spreading across Western and Central Europe could affect rail traffic from Wednesday, 24 June, through the end of this week on Sunday, 28 June, and may spill over into early next week.We estimate that rail traffic in the following countries could be affected by severe heat conditions over the coming days: France, Great Britain, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Czechia, Poland and other Central European countries.If you plan to travel in these countries during this time, please check the planner in the Rail Planner app and the national railway carrier's timetable for the country you're travelling in (see our list of railway carriers included in the Pass sorted by countries across Europe) for up-to-date train times.

Hi, We are scheduled to travel from Amsterdam Centraal to Zurich HB on Oct 2nd on the NightJet train. We had even bought the coach/ seat reservation (for IC 60403) but recieved an email saying “connection from Amsterdam to Zurich has changed. Click here to find alternative transport if necessary”.I cannot find sufficient information on this particular train. I can see that the actual NightJet train NJ403 still appears on NS international website (but not IC 60403). The trains are not on OBB website or on Interrail app. Does this mean the train is definitively cancelled? I talked with NS international who suggested I call OBB. I tried calling OBB but their customer service is only in German which I unfortunately do not speak, so have not been able to get past the automated service. What are our other options for this leg that involves night travel? The alternative options that we have found all include 3+ transfers often in the middle of the night which we would like to avoid. Hi, this is my first post on the forum and I’m currently starting to plan a month-long interrail trip for me and 6 of my friends for next summer! We’re looking to travel from england, mostly around western europe ideally and not sure what the first steps would be for planning this trip? We’re starting early so we can plan an itinerary far in advance. We want to go to some popular tourist areas but also some less popular places with good scenery and food! Does anyone have advice which would help us plan, or for how we can look for cheap but reliable accommodation? I’m also unsure on how best to plan a good route which makes the most of our time. Would it make sense to spend around 2-3 days in each country, so maybe we could visit around 10? We are also all girls and will be 18 when taking the trip, so does anyone have advice for how to remain safe while travelling?Sorry I know this is a lot of questions, any help would be much appreciated!! Hi there,does anyone have suggestions for a good route from London to La Spezia (with maybe a short bus ride needed to get to our final destination like Lerici) in July 2027 please? I know there are numerous ways to go about it. Happy to have a stop over somewhere interesting along the way. (2adults, 2 teens). Thanks!
