booking seats 1st class

Hi, I have a global pass 1st class, but how do I book seats 1st class; it looks sometimes that you have no choice other than 2nd class

Some trains only have 2nd class indeed, or 1st class could already be fully booked.

If you have problems finding 1st class, then please provide route, date and departure time.

Please ask questions in the community and not via a private message. That's the quickest way to get a response. I don't work for Eurail/Interrail.

my route will be Copenhagen - Stockholm on 29 January, departue around 4pm

The 16:04 direct train is operated by Snälltåget, and they don’t have first class.

If you want first class, you can go slightly earlier or slightly later. You’ll need to change in Malmö and take the SJ train to Stockholm.

The Snälltåget will cost you 49 SEK for a second class reservation; the SJ will cost you 175 SEK in first class.
