DB Train from Pargue to krakow

Hello,

I’m using an Interrail Global Pass to book a DB train from Prague to Krakow on December 13. In the Interrail app, when looking for morning trains, I keep getting schedules after 2200. There aren’t any trains in the morning, which is incorrect.

In the DB Navigator app, I see several trains, and I am trying to book seats (only seats), but I keep getting a message: Due to compulsory reservation, a booking is therefore not possible. Please choose another connection.

I would like to make seat reservations well in advance and not wait to go to a DB office in Germany. I have a 1st class pass. What can I do?

Why is Interrail not showing all the trains available for December 13?

Any help would be welcome!

Thank you

The Rail Planner app does not have timetables after 12/12 yet. Based on experience from previous years, is may take a few more weeks before they appear. That is not important though because the RPA is not reliable and should never be used to plan. DB is much more reliable as a general-purpose international planner.

There is no DB train from Prague to Kraków. Most international trains on that route are jointly operated by PKP and ČD (Polish and Czech railways). For the direct train at 10:08, reservations are best booked on cd.cz, using "reservation only”. Price is CZK 75, or slightly over €3. You can pick your seat from a seat map. Reservations from 13/12 are not open yet though, which is also why DB can't book them yet. You'll have to wait a bit longer.

In general, use this page as a guide to reservations:

I’m pretty sure it’s not a DB train running from Prague to Krakow. I guess it’s rather CD/PKP running those services.

Best place to book these reservations is on the Czech Railways website (cd.cz).

There are also some private companies such as RegioJet and LeoExpress on that route. Interrail is valid there too. They sell reservations on their websites.
