Temperatures are high again (35°C, not 40°C+ anymore). As long as you start early, stay hydrated and don’t plan too much in the afternoon, you’ll be fine.

+9It’s difficult to advise without knowing your plans, or how you get on with heat,
I find 30 C uncomfortable, and anything over 35 very unpleasant. You might be different?
Whether or not your accommodation has good A/C will have a major effect on how you enjoy your trip. The cumulative effect of heat can be draining.
Get up early, seek out A/C, and avoid the middle of the day if necessary. Carry an umbrella if you can’t.
+8The high temperatures will last for about a week still, afterwards it’s more bearable and more in line with normal summer temperatures. Oranges heat warnings are valid for most of France.
Cities are real heat islands and I would personally avoid them with heat wave temperatures. Especially Paris is not well adapted to higher temperatures, whereas cities in the south are better adapted.
Anyway, in smaller places it’s usually nicer when it’s too hot. France is big, so Bretagne or places along the Atlantic Coast is a lot more bearable than the inland Provence or Occitanie. So I’lld find a smaller place with aces to nature a nice beach or lake, to find freshness and shade.
But yeah, I adhere with thibcabe. If you adapt yourself to the southern lifestyle: don’t do much in the afternoons. Make the most out of the mornings, rest in the afternoon and enjoy the freshness at evening and in the night.
