Hello everyone!I would like to take a trip from Paris to Sicily. I don't understand how to do this with Interrail, especially since I would like to take a night train part of the way between Naples and Sicily, to Catania in particular. As far as I understand from Interrail, they have a connection between Naples and Catania. I would also like to take the return trip from Sicily to Paris.I have done some research and there is a train that detaches once you arrive at Villa San Giovanni/Messina.
I will have an interrail ticket, will I receive another seat ticket when I make a reservation? Will the conductor ask for two tickets? It is interesting to me
Can anyone recommend overnight sleeper trains in Italy? Would like to go from Venice to Naples and then Naples back up to Florence or Milan but there don’t seem to be many direct overnight trains to these destinations. Do any of you have any experience booking this type of trip?
HiI have a ten-travel-day mobile Interrail pass, and have planned out my itinerary for a journey through France, Switzerland, Austria and Germany. I now have all the tickets ready on my mobile phone, and have made the necessary seat reservations (which I know have to be printed out and shown separately).I understand there is no way of backing the e-tickets up to another device for security, but am worried about what happens in the (hopefully unlikely) case that I lose my phone or it gets broken while I am travelling. I have managed to take screengrabs of each of my tickets as shown on my phone, each of which clearly shows the QR Codes for each ticket, and have transferred these to my home desktop computer. If I now print these out, can I use them instead of the tickets on my phone in case of need? Many thanks
Hi Guys, I bought a Eurail Global Pass. I am using a Rail Planner App to book my trips. I noticed there is another app called DB app that can also provide train trip booking. So instead of Rail Planner app, can I use the DB app to book my train trips linking this app to my Eurail Global Pass ? Thank YouJohn
Hey people, I have been interrailing for about 2 weeks now. I started in Vienna, Bratislava and Budapest and I loved the amount of people of about my age (21) that were solo traveling as well. After that, I went to Timisoara (Romania) which was very calm and I am now in Cluj-Napoca, which also seems to be calm. My plan is to do way more countries in this area, but I feel a bit worried now that I won't meet that many people there. However, I have been loving the most of solo traveling to be meeting new people. I am traveling from April untill June and I am mostly going to hostels. The countries that I had planned to go to are: Romania, Bulgaria, North-Macedonia, Albania, Montenegro, Bosnia, Croatia and Slovenia. What have your experiences been? Do you think it will get better if I continue my tour? Or would you advise me to go somewhere else in Europe? Or do you have any other tips?
Hi, a friend and I are looking for accommodation for 2 nights in Milan in August this year. Since Milan is not known for cheap prices and we don't want to share a room with other people, but prefer to have our privacy, we wanted to ask here if there are any insider tips that are not so easy to find on the internet or don't appear there at all?We are happy about every tip! Thanks in advance!!
I am interested in doing interrailing in Europe this summer for a week or so with my 11 year old son. A possible itinerary I would like- London to Strasbourg (on Eurostar)- Strasbourg to Munich - Munich to Salzburg - Salzburg to Zagreb - Zagreb to Bratislava - Bratislava to Budapest - Budapest to Prague - Prague to Nuremberg- Nuremberg to Brussels .- Brussels to London The cities I most want to see are Munich, Salzburg, Zagreb, Budapest, Prague. Are there any other destinations or routes I should consider to save time or ease of transfers? Is the above itinerary sensible in terms of train times and changes? Are there are any better night train routes to consider. I am open to suggestions. How long should I spend in each location? I was thinking 2 nights in Munich, Salzburg, Budapest and Prague. Any suggestions of things to see and do with an 11 year old.

Hello!I am planning to travel from London to Paris and then visit several cities in Italy. Is the Global Pass useful for this type of trip? I wonder if I can use it to travel between different countries and within cities within the same country.Thank you💫
Bonjour, Peut on prendre un pass global et rester dans le même pays (Écosse), sachant que nous y arriverons et y repartirons très certainement en avion depuis la France ?Le pass un pays ne comporte pas assez de jours de voyage pour nousSalutations 😉
Hi! Does anyone know if there’s a problem with the website right now?I’ve been trying to buy train reservations for the past week but I am not able to press the button "continue to traveler details”, or if I get through to the next page where I put in our birth city’s, I then can’t click past to “proceed with payment.” It just won’t let me click the button to proceed further.I’ve tried everything - Eurail website on: iPhone, laptop on safari, laptop on chrome, cleared cache, tried on my friends phones & laptops, tried different times of the day, tried to book 1 train instead of multiple.. I need to make a reservation for 13 trains for our Europe trip, for late June-July. I filled in my name, address etc. but I can't buy them… we leave in 8 weeks, some of our trains are nearly fully booked out, and I’m stressing out 😔I’ve reached out to the chat bot & to support and I’m waiting to hear back. Is the website down??? Or how can I buy these seat reservations. We have a 1st class pa
Hello everyone! My wife and I are traveling the following itinerary for 16 days in May-June:Paris to NiceNice to Cinque Terre (Monterosso)Cinque Terre to FlorenceFlorence to RomeWe would appreciate any thoughts on Eurail passes. Is first class worth upgrading to for this itinerary? We’d love the space, food/beverage, and any other accommodations, but only if applicable and worth it.Thank you!!
We arrive by plane at Zurich airport @ 16:35 . I estimated the time to make a reservation to Chur, I chose 17:28 to Zurich HB then 18:38 to Chur. My question is if we arrive earlier can we just take the earlier trains ? Will my e-ticket still be valid ?
Hi I had trouble booking seats after purchasing 5 days flexi global pass.I was to book my train from London to Leeds, round trip. Does Eurail global pass not cover this trip? It keeps getting me to other train booking sites in which I have to pay the whole price for the tickets, not benefiting through global pass. Please help me get through this! It won’t work from Interlaken ost to Geneva as well. :(
Hello everybody,I paid for a global Interrail pass including all European countries which I activated and which will take effect next Monday (April 15) for my first trip Paris Gare de Lyon - Padova. I wanted to book the journey, which departs from Paris GDL at 7.21am and passes through Basel SBB, Milan and Padova (arriving at 7.14pm). However, I have several problems: * I can't book my ticket with a seat for the Paris Gare de Lyon, Basel SBB journey, as it displays this message: « One or more Passes don't cover this journey Select the travellers with valid Passes for this journey to book reservations. »* Finally, the prices displayed on the Rail planner application and Eurail are not at all the same (up to 3-4 times more expensive) ex: Basel SBB -> Milan (13€ on Rail planner vs 62€ on Eurail) Could you please help me Thank you very much 🙏🏼

Hey everybody :) I’m trying to have a nice week of hiking in early May, and I was thinking of the French Pyrenees (I’m traveling from up North so Spain adds a lot of travel time), the French Alps, or maybe Austria.I’m having a hard time narrowing down my options! I would love to hike from hut to hut, and if possible walk through both forests and mountainous terrain. Staying a hut or hostel from which day hikes are possible would also be a perfectly agreeable option.Does anybody have any advice? Much appreciated :)
Hi, we are planning to get the 7 days in 1 month pass in august. Does anyone have some suggestions for routes as I am totally new to this? I would love to include slovenia and Croatia. We are planning to do 2/3 weeks. Is it easier to fly over to Europe or use the Eurostar?

Hello! This summer, we are going to Germany, Sweden, and Norway, and we have a doubt about whether it’s better to buy a 1st class pass or a 2nd class pass. Can you help me, please?Route: Berlin - Hamburg- Copenhagen- Stockholm - Oslo -Bergen -Myrdal -Oslo. (*We would be grateful if you could also make suggestions about the trip)
Hi community, I planned and read a lot with/about Interrail in the last weeks, but there are two major things which aren’t clear for me or at least are some strange discrepancies. Why is it not possible to use my Interrail log in for the app? I planned a journey in the app which doesn’t show on the website. A planned journey on the website (for testing purposes) doesn’t show in the app.Part of my planned journey on August 7th is ICE 16 from Cologne to Bruxelles, departure 11:42. It showed in the app and I saved it, so the connection definitely exists. But if I try to book a seat in the train on the website, the connection doesn’t even show anymore. There are suddenly only journeys with the much more expensive Eurostar. I also discovered many small things which aren’t working properly and honestly I have a little doubt to spend so much money on a global pass if I can’t trust it fully.
Hello!I am planning a trip from Barcelona/Paris to Almaty by train and bus this summer 2024, in order to get to my exchange university in Kazakhstan. I have never used an interrail pass, but I thought it would be a great way to plan the European part of the trip, from Barcelona to Ankara (Turkey). Looking at the railway network I thought I could go through Zagreb-Belgrad-Sofia, either through northern Italy (departing from Barcelona) or southern Germany (departing from Paris), but I am not sure if this could eventually work out. I was wondering whether someone had already done this trip (Paris-Ankara or Barcelona-Ankara) and is used to taking night trains with interrail, etc. I don't really understand the seat/bed reservation system, which type of trains are the passes valid for, and what prices to expect in early July. If anyone could share information on these I'd be super grateful.Thank you in advance :)Cheers!Chloé
Hallo, ich habe meinen ersten Reisetag in der App bereits einmal geändert und wollte fragen, ob ich diesen nochmal ändern kann. Wenn ja, wie genau mache ich das? Danke schon mal im Voraus!
