Hi. UK passport holders but resident in France. We are planning a journey that would start from France into Switzerland and end entering France from the UK. Would a Eurostar train direct from , say, Brussels (but transiting through France) mean we are breaking the rules?

It’s not a question of breaking the rules, so much as transiting through France will trigger a ‘Country of Residence’ day, whether you like it or not.
You’ll then have no Country of Residence day remaining for your London-Paris journey.
I believe - though I haven’t tried it - that if you can find a Brussels-London train which doesn’t call at Lille, then it won’t trigger the Country of Residence.

From what i noticed it only triggers if the train has a stop in your country.
