I’m trying to travel rail Trondheim-Bodo on 30 Sept and Narvik-Boden on 2 Oct. Some sites there may be bus replacements on first leg. Any recent knowledge? More to the point, ticket sites don’t seem confident that the advertised daily train Narvik-Boden is actually running early October. DB site won’t offer tickets, though shows the schedule and entur (Norwegian public transport site) treies to send you via Oslo and Stockholm! Does anyone know for sure the situation with the Narvik-Boden service and whether there are problems early October?

I would trust Entur.no for your first train, which is also where you can buy reservations. It suggests a train, no bus replacement, from Trondheim at 07:49 on the 30th.

For the second leg, check on sj.se (even though it starts in Norway). That suggests there's a bus replacement on the morning service, but a regular train if you depart at 14:35.

I had some messing about with the Narvik train this summer, but it's bookable on SJ. I'd be reasonably sure it goes ahead, barring any problems on the day. (Having said that, I had a bus replacement for the first section from Narvik, and it was all very smooth.)
