Hey guys. Quick question: ive got 2 days left on my interrail pass. Ive gotten home earlier because of a cancelled train. What can I do with these remaining days? I live in the Netherlands. Anybody got any ideas where to go and use for these 2 days? I got until 16 august to use them.

Hi, I am traveling trough Europe and in a week I am going to north macedonia from Sofia by bus. This bus was not included in the interrail pass. Now I am looking to go from north macedonia to Croatia or somewhere near, but online i cant find anything about trein on IC busses that i can use with the interrail pass. Does anyone know what route is the best?

Hi everyone, I want to get from Paris to Siena in August, and back again. Which route would you go? I’ve been looking into various options but because of the landslide etc it all seems a bit complicated, and I’m struggling to find the simplest route. I’m happy to stop 1 or 2 nights on the way so would also like to take into consideration which cities would be nicest to stay in. I’m currently thinking Paris - Basel - Milan - Siena?Any thoughts or recommendations? Thanks, Helen :-) 

Hi I am Francesco and i would like this summer to make a trip with inter rail and going from Italy to FinlandRome->Geneve->Lyon->Paris->Luxemburg->Bruxelles->Bruges->Amsterdam->Hamburg->Copenaghen->Stokholm->TurkuI will come back by airplane. I have some questions:Rome Geneve: I should take first a train to milan and then a train from geneve, are they both included in the global pass ticket? Did i understand right that i should pay an extra for fast train ? is Stokholm - Turku ferries included? What kind of pass would you suggest for this kind of trip? i was thinking continuos pass 22 days or maybe it is better take the flexible 7 days pass and pay some  trip with normal tickets 

Hi all,I’m thinking of buying a pass in the sale (valid from September onwards) and have plotted out an overland route to the north coast of Greece (Thessalonike/Kavala), after which I had been hoping to cross the Aegean north to south with a couple of stops along the way. But I’ve not been able to find any ferries linking the East Aegean region (Ikaria/Samos) with any of the Dodecanese islands to the south (either very close by like Patmos, or larger islands like Kos).I initially thought Dodekanisos Seaways would plug the gap, but it appears they also stop serving Samos, Fourni and Ikaria after August 31st.Does anyone know of any ferry company (whether covered by the pass or not) that can save me having to go via Piraeus if I travel in September?Many thanks if you can help!

Greetings! So I have seen a lot of Europe already, but for my Big Trip I am looking forward to explore a part of the continent that I am less familiar with. My general plan for now is to travel through Central and Eastern Europe and especially the Western Balkans, starting from June 12 for about two weeks.My general idea for now is to travel from The Netherlands to Prague, Warsaw, Budapest or Vienna first; possibly by taking a night train. I've visited those places (except for Warsaw) before, but I wouldn't mind revisiting for a bit. I also would definitely like to visit Slovenia and I am kinda considering Slovakia too. In terms of Balkans I’m eyeing Serbia, Bosnia, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Albania. I'm skipping Croatia because I've already been before (it was amazing btw). Hi, I've been waiting for direct trains to be released for the 20th August from Luxembourg City to Paris but the timetable seems to stop in the next week or so. There are only indirect services available from then on, with many requiring a bus for the first leg. Up until next week it seems that TGV Inoui services operate direct several times per day but then no longer. Does anyone know what is happening please? Thanks

Hiya! Looking for some thoughts/suggestions on my whirlwind itinerary I’m putting together. I’m coming from Canada, I’m volunteering at the Olympic and Paralympics in Paris. I have a little stretch off between that my husband is going to come so we can go on an adventure. I have a 5 day eurail pass. We’re looking to travel Aug 12-17/18Aug 12 - Start in Paris, Leave early - Stop in Brussels for the day and head to Amsterdam in the evening.Aug 12-14 in Amsterdam. Head to Berlin on the 14th morning. Aug 14-16 in Berlin. Head to Munich on the 16th in the morning.Aug 17 - Munich to Bern, then Bern to Paris in the evening. I’m super inexperienced with planning any train trips as Canada is severely lacking, and I’ve never been to Europe. Any thoughts or suggestions are greatly appreciated! We aren’t held to any of these locations as I haven’t booked any hostels or train reservations. Thanks!!Krista

Hello,I’ll be starting my EuRail experience in Geneva, second week of July and I have 4 days to get to Paris.I am not a big city fan, and would just like to get in all the best trains routes. Rough plan is:Golden PassGotthard PanoramaBerninaGlacier Express Is it too much?What should I not miss, if I need to drop some routes?      

We’re a family of.5 travelling from Milan to Zermatt in August 2024. What’s the best train route we can take for this trip? When I search using Eurail app, the route that comes up is: Milan Centrale → Domodossola (By Bus???); Domodossola → Brig (By Train); Brig Bahnhof → Zermatt (By Train)Is this the best way to do this trip? And is Milan Centrale to Domodossola route can only be done by Bus? Can we use our Global Eurail Pass for the Bus? Appreciate your help and tips on what the best route we can take for this Milan to Zermatt trip. Thank you.

FSE seems to be owned by/just a regional division of Trenitalia and using trenit app or Trenitalia web site the (many) regional trains and stations in Puglia appear (as do a lot of busses!) but these stations and trains don't appear in railplanner app. Does this mean we have to buy tickets for these routes and can't use our eurail passes?

Hi all,  I have a global pass to explore Europe this summer and I am struggling to nail down my route, hoping you can help! I am currently looking to travel from the UK into Paris, Barcelona, Madrid, Portugal (through Pontevedra & Vigo) but I then want to get back to the South of France, onward to Italy. Currently this feels quite clunky as I’d be going ‘back on myself’ ie. from Portugal via train, I would need to back through Pontevedra & Vigo to get to Madrid, Barcelona and then to Marseille / Nice. If I can, I’d like to avoid flights due to needing to check luggage in which drives the price through the roof! Hoping someone with a bit more geography sense (or just...sense) can point me in the right direction ;) Thanks in advance!

The planner on the app doesn’t have any Greek trains as far as I can see - where’s the best place to see the timetable, and are reservations needed for any Greek trains?  also, are there replacement buses over the Greek-North Macedonia border?

Hello all,Hoping to get some recommendations on the best routes for “efficiency”I am planning a 2 week trip from Paris to Prague, middle of July, focusing on Scandinavia.I don’t mind long train rides, even almost everyday - trying to hit most of the highlights.Will have time for some hikes I hope - which should I not miss (in Norway, I imagine)?How far in advance do I need to make reservations? Is 1st and 2nd class reservations the same price? Is there more availability in 1st class? (I am contemplating getting the 1st class pass)Can I count on wifi working on all trains?

we are looking to travel from Zermatt to Milan on 12th June 2024 and I understand that the direct line between Domodossola and Milan will be closed during that time and there will be replacement buses. Where can I find the timetable for these buses and buy tickets? We have Eurail global pass will this cover the bus as well? TIA! 

Hello,I know I am not the only one waiting for the reservations to open for the SJ94 train from Stockholm to Narvik, even with a change at Boden and Bjørkliden.I checked just now on sj.se : what is open is only a departure today and tomorrow. Starting the 22th, it says “Not available” but between 16th and 21th of May, it says “We didn’t find any matching departures”.Is this due to the derailment ? I thought that the train ran daily (even with the Boden connection). Does it ?I plan to travel at the very beginning of July. My final destination is Tromsø. I am looking for an alternative route in case I could not get a ticket through Narvik (and I feel I will know that only a few days before). Do you know if it is easy to travel from Stockholm to Trondheim without a reservation (local trains ?), or with a last minute reservation ? Same question for Trondheim-Bodø even with a seat in the night train.Thank you for any other route suggestion.

Dear community ! I am searching for a good route to go from Carcassonne to Hamburg. I only find routes with a lot of change and too less time between I worry to not make the connections.  i found a sleeper train from Toulouse to Paris is there a sleeper one from Paris to Hamburg?  Thanks you for your help 🙏 safe travels
