I’m planning a summer (July & August) interrailing trip. So far we have Paris, Brussels, Berlin, Prague, Krakow, Vienna, Budapest and then we wanted to visit Split, Ljubljana and maybe Venice. Split seems quite hard to get to and from. We don’t mind visiting Zagreb but would we have to do this on the way there and back? Is there a sleeper train from Budapest to Split? How would you suggest we visit these places and is there anywhere else we should visit nearby?

Hey, I’m traveling first time SOLO Interrail this Summer for about 1,5-2Months. I want to see as much as possible I have an apporiximate route. Zurich(2) - Nice(2) (+Monaco(1)) - Madrid(3) - Lisbon(4) - Porto(3) - Paris(4) (I’ve read about the Olympics already, maybe an alternative?) - Bruxelles(4) - Amsterdam(4) - Hamburg(3) Berlin(5) Prague(2) Bratislava(1) Budapest(2). The days I planned so far I wrote in the ().But I’m just not quite sure how much days to plan in for each city.. Could you help me plan my Route? I would also love to hear of some very nice cities to visit too:)

Hi,I just tried to find a Eurostar from London to Amsterdam on November 30th and it says “no trains found” and the dates are not showing up at all as having services.  Before I go and look for flights, just wondering if anyone knows whether there will be trains showing later or if there is a service disruption on that date? Thank you!

Hello, i want to travel with the EC from (Salburg-)Villach to Zagreb and maybe a little bit more around at Croatia. Croatian trains doesn’t have the best reputation for being on time. Does anybody have some experiences on that or any advices for routes at Croatia?

Hi everyone,I’m planning to buy a One Country Pass for Switzerland, probably 3 days in one month.Is it possible to have serveral voyage segments within 1 day? I mean can I do as many trips on 1 day as I want? Or does 1 travel only inlcude one journey or trip per day?Example:Going from Zurich to Chur to Luzern and back to Zurich on one day - is this allowed within a 1 travel day?Or is it only allowed to have 1 direct trip/voyage segment per day, e. g. Hey all. I need to get from Paris to Athens in about ten days in June. Most of the other topics here detailed that it could be difficult to move around by train in those countries south of Croatia. I’d love to see Switzerland but that’s really my only true hard set desire in this trip. I was curious, as a first timer, to see what you all think on how you all think i could make this trip happen best in terms of ease in travel and access, as well as somewhat cheaper locations for this trip. (Yes, I know Switzerland doesn’t fall on the cheap side of things.) Thanks!

Hi,Me and my girlfriend have interrail second class global passes and we would want to travel from the Netherlands to Lyon and then towards Bologna and then back from Venice to the Netherlands.On the 25th of July we would want to travel from the Netherlands (Starting station does not matter as we know how we get there :) ) to LyonThen on the 28th of July we would like to go from Lyon to Bologna At last on the 12th of august we would like to go from Venice back to the Netherlands (Between bologna and Venice we travel by car)I did some research on a good route, but trains I chose were now not available anymore, e.g. the TGV 9830 from Bruxelles-midi to Lyon and the route from Geneva to Bologna with EC 39. I am really stunned about this as these options were without many train changes and were relatively cheap. (40 euros in total for both)Therefore I am wondering if someone with experience could maybe help me with a route without many train changes and relatively cheap seat reservations. W

HiWe are hoping to travel from UK to Austria in August and would like to stop off somewhere on the way there and somewhere else on the way back, to break up the journey. Probably 2-3 nights in each place. We have previously visited Paris, Brussels and Köln. Any suggestions for good places en route to spend a couple of days? Aloha from Hawaii - Eurail Community, My husband and I honeymooned in Europe following our wedding in June 2000. We will be married 25 years next June, and plan to return to Europe, now with our teenage children (they will be 13 and 16 next year).The first time around, we visited Paris, Rome and Venice.This time around, Iʻd love to spend more time exploring France via Eurail, and then weʻre doing a Mediterranean Cruise from either Rome or Venice (still researching).May I please ask for your recommendations on what cities our family should consider visiting as we make our way between Paris and Rome and/or Venice? The landslide at Maurienne last August which blocked the line between Paris and Milan has forced me to be more creative in my travel plans to Italy.  I am now very much looking forward to my journey through Switzerland this September.  However it would be quite nice if it was to possible take a direct train from Lyon to Milan when I return to Italy at Christmas.  (I am aware of the bus replacement service circumventing the landslide, but that does not appeal!)I keep searching the internet for any information giving a progress report on the work being done to clear the landslide but have not found anything later than statements made around January 2024.   Has anyone found any more current information about how the work is going, or seen any up to date predictions about when the line might reopen at Maurienne?Peter

Hello, Just looking for some general advice on the Interail trip that we're planning this May/June. Particularly any advice that would help us do the journey with a 8&10 year old. We've booked the big legs but if anyone thinks it wouldn't work or we are planning too much we'd love the advice. Day 1 - London to Paris (booked)Day 2 - Paris - Chur (need to book) 2 nights in Chur. Anyone have any tips on accommodation? We are looking forward to the cable car up the mountain! Day 4 - Bernina Express (booked) then Turino to Milan. Any advice on accommodation in Milan for a quick overnight?Day 5 - 8 - from Milan we want to travel somewhere near Pisa for some sightseeing. Hi,I’m thinking of purchasing a 3 month global continuous pass for next year which will be activated elsewhere before we get to the UK (where we expect to do a month) and used in Europe after too. Through my research I can’t find as much info on Eurail in England, Scotland and Ireland as other European countries - we’d love to be able to use the pass in the UK to get the most from it. Is there a reason there are less info/reviews from the UK or anything to be cautious of? I’d expect to have to hire a car in areas of Scotland and Ireland or join a tour in the more remote parts, but using trains as the main mode of transport would be ideal. Any personal experiences or advice would be great :)Thanks!

Hello,The interrail website reads that only the following Cyclade islands are covered with the Greek ferry pass: Amorgos, Anafi, Donoussa, Ios, Iraklia, Kea, Koufonissi, Mykonos, Naxos, Paros, Santorini, Schinoussa, Syros, and Tinos.Shall I take it that Milos and Sifnos, for instance, are excluded? In August we need to be Malaga on the weekend of 24th/25th - can you suggest a scenic route that we can do with overnight stays on the way to Malaga and on the way home from Malaga.We will start and end the travel from London so could do the Eurostar - length of the trip is maximum 10/14 days due to work and school.Looking for inspiration of where would great to stop onroute to Malaga - i.e Eurostar to Paris, stay overnight, next day train to next destination and stay overnight etc etc.Thanks!

Hello everyone,I would like to draw your attention to a problem that I have noticed, especially when planning my Interrail trip to the British Isles next summer, but which may also be a problem in other countries.The ferry route between Rosslare Harbour (Ireland) and Pembroke (South Wales) is currently operated by Irish Ferries. In recent weeks, the Norbay ferry (aka Economy Ferry) has been operating there, on which no pedestrians or cyclists are permitted - so you can't travel on it as a train passenger.The pedestrian-friendly ferry "Oscar Wilde", which is actually intended for this route, has not been used on this route in recent weeks. It is currently running again, but only until March 19 according to the plan, then it will be the Norbay ferry again.Although there is an alternative route offered by Stena Line from Rosslare to Fishguard, on which foot passengers are always permitted, Fishguard is less convenient for many people, and this route was also completely canceled until mid-
