I’m trying to reserve the Karlsruhe Hbf → Paris East 7:32 → 10:05 on 17.06.23, but on the Eurail website, it either says it’s 20 euros and throws an error when I try to checkout, or says it is unavailable. b-europe’s website doesn’t allow me to search for it (can’t enter Karlsruhe Hbf), and db says “reservation impossible”. Someone please help. I know I can try to call the French railway, but they put me on hold and it’s $0.60/min.
hello everyone, I'm new here and I have questions, I live in Zürich and I have to go to Paris in 2-3 weeks, and I would need help with how to buy a ticket and how it works, thanks for reading.
Hello dear community! Looking to travel out of Paris at night anywhere towards east. Any info or tips are deeply appreciated! Happy travels to all.
HII’m planning to travel from Aigle ( near Montreux) to Milan. The Eurail App says its 3 changes, none of which are fast/ intercity. The Swiss SBB app says there is an intercity from Montreux to Milan or one from Aigle to Brig, then Brig to Milan. Why does the Eurail timetable not show these trains?thanksJon
Can anyone suggest a route between Munich and Buchs SG that the Interrail pass is valid for please?
HI allAfter two weeks round Italy by rail in Easter, we’re now heading to the continent again during summer holidays for three weeks. Just hoping there may be some good suggestions for routing, as I’m also hoping to fit in a sleeper. We’re leaving from London and would like to cover the following for definite:Belgium - Bruges/Ghent/BrusselsCzechia - PragueGermany - Berlin (maybe somewhere else)Netherlands - AmsterdamOpen to other suggestions if it makes routing easier, but we would quite like to get a sleeper or two in. We are two adults and two kids (11 and 14), and would need either two 2-berths or a 4-berth couchette. I know some routes don’t have 4-berths. Have looked at the new Brussels to Berlin, and there are still seats - appreciate it’s not part of interail at the moment. Any other sleeper suggestions?I’ve also been considering Stockholm - I know there’s a sleeper from Hamburg. But my concern is that I’d be going in and coming back out the same way (maybe not by sleeper), which
Hello, I was scouting for a train to Belgrade from Bulgaria, I found one that goes from Montenegro to Serbia but I can’t find one to get to Montenegro from Bulgaria, It would be much better if there is a shorter one. Please send me a train route I can follow so I can get to Belgrade
Did you know there are more options for border crossings than maps and timetables will tell you? If the timetables doesn't show them, it might be because it deems the distance to the stations on either side of the border too far. But if the alternative is a full-day detour, then consider this:Italy-SloveniaThe stations of Gorizia (Italy) and Nova Gorica (Slovenia) are not connected but are only 3,5km apart. This border crossing comes in addition to the only alternative one at Trieste.I did this walk on a Sunday morning and was prepared for dullness and emptiness, but instead found no less than 20 coffee bars with the locals enjoying dolce with their morning sip. Hungary-SlovakiaThe stations of Sátoraljaújhely (Hungary) and Slovenské Nové Mesto (Slovakia) are connected by rail but only freight trains use them. However the two stations are only 2,5km apart, leading you through the small town of Sátoraljaújhely which I found a lovely stop and with plenty of options to stay, shop and eat.
Hi All, I know there are a few threads on here about 17 year olds inter railing and in particular staying in shared hostels. I am reposting hoping that there may be some new information out there. I am 17 and hope to interrail in Europe in July 2023 with my 18 year old friend. We have already has a positive hostel dorm experience in Valencia (April 2023) where a letter from my parents was sufficient. I am hoping some community members may have some advice or know of the best places for 17 year olds to visit, where shared Hostelling is allowed. Thanks in anticpation.
I want to take the train from Sundvall (Sweden) to Trondheim (Norway) via Storlien. I am planning on doing this in July.If I check the Rail Planner app I don't see this specific option. But if I check the Vy website (transport in Norway) it does give this option. Just not in July because that is too far in the future. Does this track still exits and does the train ride in July? And is it possibele to take this train with the Global Pass?Thank you!!

How does it work if I want to go from Split to Ancona by ferry with a global interrail pass? What companies can I buy a ticket from?Is the ferry included in the pass or do I get a discount?
Hi, I’m organising a trip in the North of Europe on July. I need help to organise the route Berlin-Copenaghen. I’ll leave Berlin on 25th July in the evening so I’ll arrive in Copenhagen in the morning. I have the interrail pass for 7 trains and I need to use just one day train and I want to do maximum one change. Do you have any suggestion? Also where can I look for trains
Hi,from 17 June 2023 there will be a swap of train set for the route Hamburg - Copenhagen. No IC3 train sets of DSB but there will run DB IC1 carriages with more seats. Somebody knows if this summer there will be the compusory reservation on this route or not? Because now with more coaches should be possible to run without compulsory reservations.
Hello, this is my first time booking on Eurail. I’m starting my journey from the UK to Belgium. Is it possible for me to book my journey starting from Newcastle or Edinburgh? Or does it have to start from London to get to Belgium? To my understanding, I would have to book separately on a different website to get to London first before travelling to Belgium.
Hi, we’re staying in Briançon and would like a day trip into Italy. I had hoped to go to Turin but it looks very long and complicated by train. Are there any other recommendations of good day trips from Briançon? I’ve been trying to find a map to help me look at connections from Briançon but that doesn’t seem available anywhere. Thank you!Nicky and family
So I had my trip planned from Amsterdam Centraal to Mälmo. The trip was meant to be Ams- Hamburg then Hamburg to Mälmo on the night train and well my 1st train left 20 minutes early. Allegedly there's some sort of works going on along the way. My alternate train from Utrecht now has put me on another IC that seemingly doesn't exist or it has already left and not at the time it says on the interrail trip planner app. Right now I'm just doing damage control because I've basically already missed my night train out of Hamburg and it's quite frustrating because it's hard finding info. Also it's Sunday and no one's here to help at this random station I'm supposed to transfer at.

I am commencing my Eurail trip from Athens around 5th August. I cannot seem to find concrete information on how to get from Athens to Sofia (Bulgaria). Some places say there’s trains. Others say I train to Thessaloniki then bus to Sofia. Others say I train to Thessaloniki, bus to the border, taxi over the border, then bus to Sofia. But when I drill down into these ‘trips’ they can’t provide any concrete information past Thessaloniki. If I have to split with train then bus, will the bus be covered on Eurail? I don't want to resort to flying! Please help!
Hello, everyone!I plan to travel between London and Brussel. I would like to go by train from London to Dover, take the ferry and then again the train in Calais. How can I plan this using the interrail platform? If I plan my trip on the website, I only get the Eurostar. Is there any train direct to the ferry port in Dover and from the ferry port in Calais? If not, how can I organize the transfer from the train to the ferry in Dover and from the ferry to the train in Calais? WHat are the extra costs in this case?
Hi Everyone, We are trying to get from Istanbul to Sofia using the night train, We have found it very difficult funding information, the Turkish train company websites shows slightly different information to the Bulgarian website, which is in general much clearer, but the timetable from June to September is missing. I am very tired having slept 4 hours the last 2 nights :( so might be missing something obvious. Advice on how to find reliable timetable info, and book reservations (any way to book remotely via phone or email? would be great!) Many thanks
Hi Everyone, I have recently purchased a Eurail pass and also done my reservation for Paris to London. However, I would be traveling to the below cities. Starting: Rome to Milanwhile staying in Milan I am planning to do a one day visit to Venice and then come back to Milan on a same dayNext Stop: Milan to ZurichNext Stop: Zurich to ParisNext Stop: Paris to London I have two questions related to the above plan. Do I need to reserve for all these routes in advance as I was told to book Paris to London one in advance considering you don’t get a seat. If you look at my plan, the number of days of travelling will be counted from the day when I will travel from Rome to Milan so according to my calculation, the total number of days to the destination are 5. Am I correct? Since Venice is a single day trip from morning and then come back before midnight. However, I do have to reserve a seat for that. Please advise I don’t want to run in a situation where I don’t have days left for my final de
The train connection Kiato-Piraeus-Kiato doesn't show up in the Interrail App, neither does the courtesy/shuttle bus Patras-Kiato-Patras. Can I use my Global Pass on that route and just add the connections manually under 'My trip'? Thanks a lot in advance! Alois
Hello everyone,I am writing to you as I am facing a huge wall. I want to use the two-months Interrail pass togo from Italy to Austria and back from Austria to Italy from Italy to Germany and Belgium Now my question: Is it possible to start with the inbound journey, then do the outbound journey and still travel with the interrail pass afterwards? Thanks in advance!
