Hi i’m trying to plan a trip from Biarritz across Spain and into Portugal. it appears that this is difficult as all the trips i put into the eurail app come up with nothing. Is it possible to do or do you just have to go via the major cities?

Hello! I’m planning a 3 week trip in July 23 for myself and my two sons, 13 and 15. We are based in the U.K.The original high level plan was:London to Amsterdam - 3 nights Amsterdam to Berlin - 3 nights Berlin to Zermatt - 3 nights (this is proving tricky travel wise also been looking at 2 nights in Berlin, travel to Zurich 1 night then on to Zermatt)Zermatt to Venice- 2 nights (this looks like a nightmare - I really wanted to include Italy in this but am struggling)Italy to Lake Bled, Slovenia - 3 nightsLake Bled to Split Croatia - spend c. 1 week in Croatia fly homeSo keen to do night trains where possible and also avoid too many changes, I know Zermatt is making it tricky but it’s the top place my eldest wants to visit so really want to make it work. Plus it’s beautiful!if anyone has any suggestions for an itinerary that takes in most of the places above but includes Italy somehow - I can skip Germany on this trip if needed - that isn’t too complicated please share! I’m keen we spen
Hi! Me and my partner will be travelling Europe this summer and have managed to just get 3 weeks off work including the weekends and the the weekend before we go. This is what our itinerary is looking like but is it too much to squeeze into three weeks? We have tried to keep most of the journeys to a couple of hours and have found hostel options in each to keep it cheap. Being inexperienced in rail travel it’s hard the gauge the balance, however we are the kind of people that like to be kept busy and we will be returning to a few of these places in the future for various things so won’t be disappointed if we don’t manage everything in each place. Are we trying to do too much in one go? Amsterdam (2 nights) Hamburg (1 night) Berlin (2 nights) Prague (2 nights) Vienna (1 night)Brastislava (1 night) Budapest (1 night)Graz (1 night)Zagreb (1 night)Ljubljana (1 night)Munich (1 night)Zurich (1 night)Geneva (1 night)Paris (2 nights)Brussels (2 nights)
Hi, I recently got married and we are planning our honeymoon for next year (July 2024) so we can properly save after the expense of a wedding! My husband and I love to explore cities and culture (new food, history, nights out) but also love being outdoors especially in the mountains and hiking. We will have 2 weeks and are looking for a route that encompasses both these things ie a few capital cities we haven't visited before and some time in some stunning scenery. And some romance would be nice too ☺️ we have lots of ideas but be nice to get some inspiration from others. Any ideas please? Thanks!
According to the page for Italy on this website passes aren’t valid on Lecco to Piona trains, part of the Tirano - Milan line and are shown as such on the App. According to reports from travellers using these trains, they have been told by an on-train Trenord employee that passes are valid and on other occasions presenting a pass hasn’t been challenged by the ticket inspector. Any info, other travellers experiences out there?
Hi ! My name is Soline (18) and I'm french. I plan to make my interrail trip in July 2023 mostly in central Europe but I’ve no one to join me atm. I'd like to find travel buddies or people to meet on my way around Europe, so no matter where you come from I’d be happy to meet you ! :)Here are my destinations (my trip is still quite flexible): I would begin my trip in Italy on the 10th of July and then visit mostly capitals in Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Czech Republic. I would finish in Germany and Switzerland. If you’re interested in being part of this trip we could talk about it, you can dm me on instagram : isoline24I’m looking forward hearing from you!

Hello there,I am going to Syracuse in Sicily, Italy this summer, for about a week. I prefer not to take the plane, and was thinking taking the train could be a good alternative. Do you have any suggestions for which route to take and which stations/trains to take? I was thinking:Belgium (starting in Antwerp or Brussels), France, Swiss, Italy (Catania is closest big railwaystation). Would like to make as less stops as possible in between Belgium and Italy. And which pass should I buy for this? This is all very new to me :) Would this be a good option, or does anyone know about a direct option from Belgium to Italy (I prefer to go there in 1 ride, I dont want to make stops in any cities in between). Thanks so much!Anne

Que me conseillez vous comme trajet? merci beaucoup par avance !NB please tell me if you need the same question in english !! thanks a lot in advance
what the title says. is it a good idea? is it expensive on those dates, thanks i would be flying from Bristol to Poland and then on from there down to the uk thank you guys

Hi. We are scheduled to travel from Salzburg to Lesce Bled next weekend and the timetable is not showing any direct trains as is mentioned on Man in Seat 61. It looks like we will need to part travel on the OBB bus fromBischofshofen Bahnhof (Vorplatz) D11.20 Bus SV220 toSpital-Millstatter See Bahnhof A12.40 and then pick up train connections to Villach , Jesenice and Lesce. Can anyone please tell me if the Interail pass is valid on the bus element of this route. Alternatively if any can see a direct or purely train route please let me know. Thanks John

Hi its my first time on the Community site and I am quite a novice with travelling between countries. My family and I (11 of us) are travelling from Australia into Edinburgh and will train down to York, onto Ireland, London and Amsterdam. From Amsterdam we are flying to Norway and then onto Venice, when we get to Venice we will again want to travel by train to Rome.My question is can you use the same pass to travel in Venice & Rome when you are flying in between destination, say like taking a pause from the train? I hope I am explaining myself correctly?
In July my 11 year old daughter and I intend to travel from the Netherlands to Finland and then go by way of Haparanda, Sweden to Narvik, Norway and go down slowly back home. We have got over three weeks. Unfortunately one have to make reservations for all Norway trains. So there is no freedom to stay any longer or leave more early. We'll stay a few days in Helsinki. But what next? Which place has got beautiful nature, f.e. in the lake District and is reached easily by train? And do you have to make reservations for the cheap or middle price hostels in Scandinavië long before?(Last year we went by the EU rail to Italy and Austria, almost without preparation, off course I want to help about that if needed). Thank you so much for helping us. Froukje
Please suggest the best train routes from Munich to Athens.October 2023 Thanks
