​@Eurail Community Moderator There are only 2 good connections between Trieste and Ljubljana, with a change in Villa Opicina, so it's important that people can find them. Previously, not all trains were entirely in the timetable/MERITS, but now they are.However, the evening journey with departure at 19:07 from Trieste, is not shown, although there's a direct connection in Villa Opicina (arr. 19:37, dep. 19:45). Maybe the planner thinks that's too short, but Villa Opicina is a very small station, 8 minutes is plenty of time to change, and the only reason for the 19:45 departure is to connect with the train from Trieste.The planner lets you hang around in Villach instead:The train to Villa Opicina is in the planner though:And the connecting train too:Could Trenitalia be persuaded to include this connection in their timetable? I suppose it's a matter of changing the minimum connection time.

On my current trip i discovered Pontresina and the area arround it. I started without a plan and ended up there. But the region arround here is awesome as there a a lot of things that can be reached from the train (Rhätische Bahn). For example Pontresina has a small canyon next to the city. There is a ca. 3,5 km long walk arround it with information. Then a couple station from Pontresina (Mortagratsch) you can hike for 3,5 km to reach a glacier (Mortagratsch glacier) from the train station. The last past of that hike is difficult mountain terrain.From the Mortagratsch train station you can also hike along some waterfalls.Then there is Bernina Diavolezza where you can take a gondula up to almost 3000m.And its also situated along the Bernina railway route to italy if that is something you want to do (nice scenic ride)

Apparently there are no reservations available back to Edinburgh from London Kings Cross on August 22nd with LNER. Lumo may have availability but their services are not listed in the app. Fine to chance it on either with my pass but not having the full picture is inconvenient.

Hi everyone!I started my first backpacking trip some days ago, traveling from Stuttgart to Istanbul via Vienna, Belgrade, and Sofia. I just arrived in Belgrad and am writing this question while waiting for the metro. Since it's my first time in Serbia, I wanted to ask if anyone has any special recommendations besides the usual tourist attractions. I'm really looking forward to tips on hidden cafés, parks, or simply beautiful streets. Perhaps someone is also in the Belgrad and would like to grab a drink with me. I'm always looking for good value for money 😉. This is a single travel day, boarding the Caledonian Sleeper at its first station after midnight (Dunblane), and reaching Turin in time for the Intercity Notte much later the same day.I've also looked at Härnösand in Northern Sweden to Basel. I'm sure there are longer journeys possible. Any suggestions?

Hi everyone,my friend Clemens (18) and I, Anton (19) are doing an Interrail trip through several Balkan countries this summer. We start from Nuremberg on July 21st, arrive in Sarajevo on July 22nd, and continue through the Balkans before finishing in Chișinău on August 7th.Originally, a third friend wanted to join us, so we already booked a few accommodations and one bus ticket for him — but he dropped out .So if anyone around our age is interested in joining for parts of the trip, meeting up on the way, or wants more details about the route, feel free to message me on insta @clem.stnr .

Questions for May 27-28-29 in London:By the last week of May, what time in the morning will the Elizabeth Line/Public transport overground rails ( useful with Eurrail pass) schedules start?*wanting to travel across London about 6am,   starting from  Stratford . Any advice for best Eurrail travel options, please?* for a day trip to filming sites including " Ted Lasso"  neighborhood & pub, and the football field, what & where are some of those locations? How would you get from Wanstead or Gorest Gate or Marylsnd stations?

Hello! I wanted to know if the best route to go from Bruges to Strasbourg on October 17 is the one vía Paris. If you have any suggestions I am open to them. Another problem is that the train from Bussels to Paris in this route appears as “sold out” of seats for pass holders. I dont know what is my better option. Thanks!

I wonder if anybody has a paper copy of the old interrail maps from the mid 1980s. on my first two trips I used the ferries from greece to Italy, which were then included free, and also went as far as marrakech, as morocco was also included, although the eastern block was not (yugoslavia was). I made a scrap book on my return from my first trip in 1982, which had the map from that year included. I also used a  thomas cook fold out rail map of europe, as well as the paper rail timetable book that they produced.  my route with the interrail started in Venlo, as we took a coach from London to Amsterdam, with the intention of hitch hiking to Luxembourg over the following week, but we only got as far as venlo (mostly by local short trains) . my journey then went : Lucerne, Lichtenstein, Innsbruck, Garmisch, Munich, Salzburg, Llubjana, Rijeka, Zagreb, Belgrade, Thessalonika, Athens, Bay of Marathon, Aegina, Patras, Brindisi, Naples/Pompei, Rome, Menton/Monaco, Barcelona, Madrid, Toldeo, Avil

Best trip was from, Amsterdam all the way to Lisbon with interrail 

My favourite train journey is Budapest-Prague, I have taken this route many times, and I surely will in tue future too

I visited central Europe, I went from France, to Gearmany and even reached Czech Reupublic, so I have to admit that my dream route currently, would be the one that circles Spain and Portugal!

The next train i would love to ride it would be from Klosters Platz to St.Moritz, because I found this kind of landscape to be beautiful and relaxing

In interrailed through Switzerland in 2022. It might be favorite route because of the beautiful views in the mountains. 🏞️ I would love to visit again. 

I would start in Germany and go over czech republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Serbia, Romania to reach to Bulgaria. I think it’s the best route because it’s not that touristic and the ways with the train aren’t to long:))

De mooiste treinreis van mijn leven was met de Bernina Express van Zürich naar Tirano. In enkele uren veranderde het landschap van groene valleien naar besneeuwde bergtoppen en gletsjers.Die geleidelijke overgang en het uitzicht maakten diepe indruk. Het liet zien hoe toegankelijk en veelzijdig reizen per trein in Europa kan zijn — comfortabel, efficiënt en onvergetelijk.

I can highly recommend visiting Luxembourg by train! It’s such an underrated but beautiful and lush green country (in summer at least).  The next big train adventure i’m going to embark is getting from northern Germany to Bilbao, Spain for my Erasmus. I’m so exited on how this adventure and the route be.

My favourite journey was from Munich to Amsterdam 

I’ve wanted to travel to Seville, Granada and Andalusia for years now but I have put it off as I have been travelling to other places. I am wondering when is the best time of year to travel to Seville and Andalusia in terms of weather, avoiding peak season, tours and experiences etc? 

Next on my list are England and Scotland. I think the connection with the train from France to England is amazing as it is so fast. And then the nature in both England and Scotland have amazed me for a long time. I imagine myself sitting at the window and passing allow small towns and green fields. And on the way back I would love to take the night train. I really wish this will become reality soon
