Hi. I have read about the Torre del Oro train from Cordoba to Barcelona. However I am finding it impossible to find timetable information. It does not appear in DB Navigator. In Renfe it only shows dates in February. I am hoping to travel in April. Does it run year round?
Can someone suggest an itinerary to cover trips on the glacier express and the Bernina pass and any other scenic Swiss trains please. Thinking of spending 4 nights in the area and heading towards Croatia after in mid June
Hi everyone,Planning to continue my trip from Lake Como, Italy to Lugano, Switzerland. I have read that Eurail Italy Pass only valid at Chiasso in Switzerland. Just wondering :Do I need to change train, get off in Chaisso then get a ticket to Lugano..? What type of train should I board from Lake Como to Chiasso..? or I could just buy a one off ticket from Italiarail website for “no-hassle” whole journey from Lake Como to Lugano..? Can anyone provide links or information about routes that is covered by Eurail Italy Pass..? Do I always need to book reservation for travelling with all speed trains in Italy, given having Eurail Italy Pass..?Thank you in advance.
Hi! I was thinking of starting my Interrail Summer by doing a trip in May, fly to London, then some days in UK (Scotland and back), Eurostar to Brussels (I was in Paris last year, so a different route) and fly back after 8/9 days from Germany or Poland where I can get a cheap flight. Any thoughts on best places in Scotland / elsewhere in UK as absolutely must visit? Do you think 1st class is worth the money in UK?
Google Maps shows a train running from La Speza to Parma- the trip takes about 2.5 hoursBUT when I try to book with Eurail the site insists I travel via Genoa, and the trip will be 6 or 7 hours. So despite what Google is telling me there are NO direct trains from La Speza to Parma (on a Sunday) ??
Hi. I want to book the nightjet from Paris to Salzburg for July but it isn't showing compartments and when I emailed they said I would just have to keep checking website for when the compartments go live. Anyone else had this before? Really worried about missing out and it messing up our whole plan for the holiday. Thanks
Hi. I am trying to follow one of the suggested routes in Europe by Rail. I can’t find any timetable information on the ligne de Cevennes from Clermont to Nimes. The book warns there is often engineering work on the line. How can I find out? ( travel end of March)
Hi. Has anyone travelled directly from Salzburg to Lake Bled. Is it doable in 1 day and would I need to reserve seats? Websites seem to tell me very different length of time for travel and send me all over the shop rather than going direct. Thanks
Hello! I am trying to get from Austria to Venice in March. I found a direct route that states that I need to purchase a seat reservation from Villach Hbf to Venezia Santa Lucia but when I went to do so on my computer only a paper ticket is available. Since I would much prefer a mobile ticket I followed advice I saw on a separate forum and went to the Czech Rail website to see if I could purchase a seat reservation there. The confusing thing though is that when I found the exact same route for my journey it said, “no restrictions on the route.” I’m wholly unsure which information I should trust, could I even still use my eurail pass for this route if I don’t purchase a reservation since it’s from the eurail site itself that’s stating I need said reservation? I don’t know if opting for a paper ticket would be a safer option as I’m worried about it not arriving at my hostel in time.Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you for taking the time to read this. 💓
On Friday 17 Feb 2023 I want to travel using my global eurail pass if possible, from Graz to Brescia. If I search on google maps there are trains via Villach but no other train sites give this option-they only show the Flixbus. I’m happy to leave very early in the morning. Anyone know more?
I will be getting the TFW train from Holyhead to Cardiff in a couple of weeks on a 1st class Interrail. This particular train is the only TFW one that has an actual dining car according to their website - “Our first-class dining service and food bar service is currently only available on our Premier Service between Cardiff and Holyhead.”I understand that GWR are a good bet for a dining car on trains to London. It looks like their availability is limited this month - https://www.gwr.com/travelling-with-us/pullman-dining, but hopefully will be available when I plan on traveling.I think I heard somewhere that some UK carriers had dropped theirs in recent years, but I don’t know which ones still have them other than TFW and GWR. Does anyone know what routes north out of London have dining cars, or even which operators still have them in general? Thanks,David[edit] I see the title and the post don’t match, but I can’t change the title unfortunately.
Hello everyone!I´m planning an interrail trip with my sister in Norway right now and we have some questions regarding the trains. On the trip we would like to travel with the following trains, but we don´t know if they are included in the interrail pass, because they are also scenic routes: The trains are Jærbanen, Bergen railway, Dovrebanen and Nordlandsbanen. We can find the routes in the app, but it always says regional train, so we don´t know if they are those trains we wanna go with. Did anybody go with those trains and can tell us, if they are included in the pass? The support of interrail couldn´t really help us.I also have another questions. There are some train routes I can´t find in the app, but on the website of Norrtag. Since the interrail pass enables us to go with trains operated by Norrtag, I suppose we can go with any train of them, no matter if we can find it in interrail or not. Is that true? Thank you so much in advance!Best,Isabell 😊
HiI have a one contry pass for Austria. I would like to do Wien - Innsbruck but the train crosses Germany. It's the only route possible according to the app.Can I do this journey with my pass ? Thanks for your help
Taking two parents and two children under 12 to a christening in Emsdetten, Germany. Can anyone suggest the best way to get there please?
Hi allHoping someone on here may have done similar before and we can benefit from their experience! We wish to start our 2 month global pass starting approx 26th March by visiting / hopping between max 3 Greek islands, spending about 3 nights on each island. We are trying to plan the simplest short travel plan directly from one island to the next, ideally avoiding having to go to the mainland eg Piraeus in between islands. Around our starting dates, we can only fly from Ireland to Corfu, Athens, Chania or Santorini. Of those, our preferred ‘start points’ are Corfu or Santorini. (we have already visited Crete, Athens and Santorini). After the Greek islands, our next destination is Amalfi coast, Italy. So, after our Greek islands, we need to get to Athens, to fly to Naples, Italy or alternatively get to Patras or Igoumenitsa to ferry to Bari, Italy. Some inter-island ferries are understandably limited in frequency due to being low season so itineraries which are straightforward in the summer,
Buenas!! Tengo una duda, quiero comprar el pase de 7 dias en un mes, pero no me queda muy en claro que rutas son las que puedo utilizar. Si alguien tiene esa información, me viene muy bien!!Muchas gracias!!!
Can anyone recommend interesting towns in The Rhine Valley between Koln and Amsterdam. Travelling over Europe and visiting large cities mostly.Looking for small interesting towns for 3 to 4 days.
Hi. We’re due to arrive in Amsterdam tomorrow, activate our passes and take a train to Duisburg. As of today the interrail app is now saying this route isn’t covered by the pass, it was yesterday! Anyone any idea what’s going on? Thanks.
I am planning to travel from Haparanda to Kemi and planned to take a bus no.8 at Uusi silta to KemiIs it possible to walk from Haparanda Tornio bus station to Uusi silta with large luggage in January? If not by walking, Is there any taxi around and how much would it cost? Or any suggest route?
Hi!I interrailed abit through eastern/central europe last year, not with the pass at its so confusing haha. I always just booked trainticket and seat a day or two before and then I went to the next city with the exception from Vienna to Budapest which I had to delay for one day as the one I wanted was full. This worked perfectly. But I’m I’m considering taking a trip from early june for a month trough abit more expensive routes and would need some help finding routes that often dont get booked far in advance as I dont like planning too far ahead. I was thinking maybe going something like this:-Barcelona 3-4 nights-Nimes 2 nights (train to Nimes)-Nice 3-4 nights (flexibus/train to Nice)-Milan 3 nights (train to milan)-Venice 3-4 nights (train to milan)-Ljubljana or Zagreb 2-3 nights (bus to Ljubljana seems like best option?)-Split 2-3 nights (train to Split)-Dubrovnik 2-3 nights (ferry to Dubrovnik)-And to Athens, but unsure on how. Maybe plane from split or dubrovnik? Would love to bus
Hi,I’m travelling from Prague to Geneva.I’m taking the sleeper train Prague (18:21) to Zurich (08:20) overnight then Zurich to Geneva on that same day.I know the first part of the journey counts as 1 travel day because it’s overnight. What about the 2nd part of the trip? Is this considered as a 2nd travel day or is this still part of the first travel day? They need to be booked/reserved separately.Thanks.
Hi,The UK is my country of residence.I'm travelling from Edinburgh to Paris (Edinburgh-London by national rail + London-Paris by Eurostar).Do the 2 trips count as 1 outbound journey in my own country or is this 2 and I need to book the Edinburgh to London separately please? This would be over 2 days (overnight in London) as I'll be heading straight to Prague from Paris.I won’t need the ‘return’ in my own country at the end of the trip. Thanks
Has someone here been to Auschwitz, in Poland? How was this experience? Was it expensive? What is the best option: train or airplane? In my Eurotrip I'm planning to go there, but I don't know anyone who has visited that city.
Hi everyone!I did some railing last Summer, two weeks with my now 10-year-old son and two one-week-trips by myself… I/we enjoyed it so much we decided to go again this summer, this time going by plane in the beginning and end. (Taking ferry+train from Finland both ways takes a lot of time). So, now we have a plane to Madrid on 3rd June and a plane to Copenhagen from Bucharest on the 14th June. What places do you recommend we visit in between? To narrow that down:We’ll probably take the night train to Romania (or indeed straight to Bucharest) from Vienna. So it’s maybe more about what places to visit between Madrid and Vienna, of course we can do something else if you give a great suggestion! Last Summer, we already saw a lot (Berlin, Munich, Rijeka, Austrian alps, Zurich, Paris) so I figured we’d go another route this year. Maybe Madrid-Barcelona-Marseille-Nice-Milano-Venezia? What are some of the great places to visit - also with a child - in those areas…? Regards, Ilkka
Hi all, Does anyone know if the Zakopane to Poprad bus will be running this year? The website of the company running it hasn’t been updated since 2022 (it just says no buses will run this year). Thanks in advance
