my fav train ride was from germany to the south of france. i just turned 18 and it was the first time i ever visited the sea and got to experience that blue water during the summer and it was everything i dreamed of. i can’t wait to experience that feeling again. never felt to independent 

My favourite train journey is between Germany and Austria! The scenery is breathtaking and invites you to relax and take in the surrounding mountains. My next dream destination: Italy! 

I would love to explore Italy as my brother has been studying there for a year now. The beautiful lakes, mountains and amazing food along the way would be a dream come true!

Wonderful journey on an Intercity train taking in rural Hungary and rural Romania through the dramatic landscape of Transylvania along the sometimes angry, sometimes placid, always meandering River Out. Stunning and very slow. Start early and arrive late but totally doable in daylight hours, start to finish.

My favourite route is from Lugano to Milano, you pass Lugano, lake como and especially around sunset it’s a beautiful route! 

My favourite slow travel train route was from Marseille to Nice, where the ride goes along the sea with a beautiful view! It is incredibly because the water is so blue and when I went there the sun was going down and it was summer and it just felt like a dream. 

My favorite trip is and honeymoon through the Europe, from Milan to Bodo! Exciting!

My favourite slow travel route is a journey through Europe from Scandinavia down to Southern Europe. Starting in cities like Stockholm and travelling all the way to Rome and Madrid. I love this route because you experience so many cultures, landscapes and atmospheres in one trip — from calm Nordic nature to vibrant southern cities. Even though it covers a lot, the train makes it feel relaxed and intentional, letting you enjoy the journey instead of rushing. 🚆✨

I was suppose to do a big train trip through Europe in 2025, but life led me somewhere, i would love to offer myself and one of my best friend the trip we had to do. France, Autria, Croatia, poland, Belgium.

Arlbergline definitely. Getting to go on train ride that high up in the mountains is a dream come true! Especially with all the beautiful scenery and interesting bridges.

Two years ago, I went to this Interrail experience for 2 weeks with my 3 best friends. I was really amazed by the route from Vienna to Venecia. We had very beautiful views to the Alps and some lakes.

My favorite train ride was from Milano to Bern.For whoever hasn’t done it I CANNOT recommend it enough. The scenery of the North Italy and Switzerland is unique and breathtaking. I’d love to explore it more in depth.

Hallo, ​@Franzi_006 Dachte mir das ich die Tipps auch für andere sichtbar Teile. Prag:großes Flugzeugmuseum mit freiem Eintritt https://www.vhu.cz/en/the-aviation-museum-kbely/  In der Nähe(10min zu Fuß) vom Hauptbahnhof gibt es auch ein Militärmuseum mit freiem Eintritt Prag hat viele schöne Parks wo man langlaufen kann. Am Bahnhof gibt es eine Gepäckaufbewahrung die erheblich günstiger(ca 3€ oder so) ist als die Schließfächer dort.Zürich:Hat auch ein paar Museen mit freiem Eintritt ( z.Bsp das Naturkundemuseum) Je nachdem was für eine Tagesfahrkarte man sich für die öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel holt kann man auch eine kleine Bootstour damit machen. (Entweder auf dem See, hier aber auf die Zonen achten oder auf dem Fluss)Ljubjana:Hat ein nettes Eisenbahnmuseum, günstiger Eintritt, bietet aber auch nicht so viel. (Für mehr Eisenbahnmuseen:  Die Leihfahrräder sind sehr günstig für kurze Strecken(bis 30min) zahl man 1€ oder so für eine Woche und es gibt sehr viele Stationen für diese Mann

Maybe some general tips, fun places I must see, travel tips or ways to use my interrail/discoverEU pass as best as possible. I’m also trying to keep it a little budget friendly and see a lot of nature. These are the places I’m visiting: Geneva, Montreux, Interlaken, Lauterbrunnen, Flims (Caumasee), Schaffhausen, Neuchâtel and area, and some stops in between. I have mostly avoided travelling through france and spain because of all the mandatory reservations, but at some point it makes sense to also visit spain and portugal atleast once despite the annoying reservations. (I am considering doing it this year if i dont find someone to travel another route together)Starting in Germany(direct ICE to Paris) or Switzerland i plan to travel via France and Spain to Portugal and then back to Paris (maybe travelling to the uk before returning, so i have atleast one country that has easy travel with an interrail pass).Whats the best way to get to portugal and back with some interesting stops in Spain, without spending so much on mandatory reservations. Especially the reservation for international trains seem quite expensive.(France to spain) And spanish trains seem hard to reserve (online) without paying booking fees on top of the reservation cost. Hello,I am looking for interesting hikes that can be done in a day. (arround 6-18km) (not routes over multiple days)Does anyone have some good suggestions for Slovenia, italy and Sicily. Also looking for Austria, but i already managed to find some suggestions for Austria. For Switzerland Germany i already did a few shorter hikes. As especially for Switzerland it is easy to find good suggestions online. I previously created a short post highlighting some of them  I am also open for suggestions in other countries that might be worth a visit. 

Hi all, I’m just entering my planned excursion.The very first thing I put in my trip plan is a train from Tiverton in Devon to London St Pancras Int.Even though I know that there’s a train at 21.11 that gets in at 00.39 the trip planner on both the App & website sends me on a 22hr trip including going to the Netherlands to get a ferry back!!!!How do I get it to register the train that I actually want to take.Can I use my pass to book it away from the site?Cheers for any help

I have never had a Eurail pass so this will be a first for me.I’m now in my 70s , reasonably fit and up for an adventure.I have traveled quite widely in the world but somehow eastern Europe has eluded me and I think it’s time I had a look.Browsing an old map of Europe this morning I notice how many borders have shifted over the years and it looks as though I can’t visit Odessa now, and I can’t go back to Tehran !I’ve given myself 2 weeks, travelling aloneBut there is a bucket list of names I would love to see and not having had a “PASS” before I’d like the communities views on how best to go about it.So here goes, in no particular order my bucket list of place I’d like to see before I die, you may feel some are not good choices and that there are those that I’ve missed.I know of course my list is far too ambitious within my time frame so hep me to edit it, and of course the best route to help me realise it.The Bucket List (in no order):Talinn, Riga, Vilnius, Krakow, Budapest, Ljubljana
