The interrail app options in cluded a setting for ferries but I can't select the Bari to Patras route in the planner. Am I doing something wrong?

As I'm planning my first Interrail, what do you suggest to budget for daily spendings (excluding accomodation)? I'm visiting Western European cities (Paris, Amsterdam, Berlin etc...) and I came to know that many museums and attractions are free, so food is basically the only concern and I'm willing to relay on supermarket food cooked in the hostel kitchen rather than restaurants. I was thinking to budget 30€ per day, but I found many videos telling that they spent a lot less per day excluding eating out.I'm interested about this topic because I have a budget of 1300€ and I'm wandering if it's possible to visit 7 cities in 21 days instead of the 6 in 18 days I was thinking about (Paris, Amsterdam, Hamburg, Berlin, Prague, Vienna), maybe adding Budapest to the journey. What do you think?

Hi, I am looking for some advice on travelling between Beograd and Zagreb. I am aware the line is currently shut but is there any buses that run from Beograd/Novi Sad to a bordering town/city i.e. Osijek, Vinkovci? Also, has anyone had any recent experience of travelling between Sofia and Beograd? Looks like it can be done via Nis with the aid of a bus from Dimitrovgrad.  Thanks for the help.

Hi.I am going to Portugal on Sept. for 5/6 days. It’ll be my first time going there. I definitely want to go to Lisbon and Porto and other popular areas for sightseeing. Are 6 days enough? What other places do I need to visit?How’s the weather by then? And can I go to all the famous places by train?Hope you guys can help me plan my itinerary.Thank you. 

How can i travel with intereu from Istanbul to Getmany?

Is Italy south and south east of Bari still not accessible with an interrail pass? Does anyone happen to know?

I am trying to get my tickets in Paris to go from Lyon to the Eiffel tower but no train are available in any of the station I tried to look to. How can I do to use the ticket if there is no availability. 

Hey hey everyone! It is really nice to be here :) I’m currently looking into the Greek islands pass, and I wanted to know if there’s any page where I can find the ports for the ferry’s? It would be cool to have this handy to book the accommodation close to the ports. Also, tips about the best itinerary from Italy to the Greek islands would be much appreciated! Thank you so much, and nice travels! :)  

So with a lot of effort we made it to Athens, taking the bucharest sofia and a bus to thessaloniki route. Now we have enjoyed greece and want to slowly return home (Netherlands). I just don't see an effective/cheap/interrailly way of leaving here. Does anyone have some tips? Maybe an effective way of reaching croatia so we are back in railwayland?

Hi to all, I’m planning to go London from sofia via train but i didnt even travel once with neither interrail nor any other train. When i look into i saw that the route from sofia to london is a bit complicated one. So i need help from other experienced travelers. I only know that i need to go paris for london but i’m stranger to these things but wanna try. So my questions are on average how much it would cost to me, how many days it would take, is it reasonable to take train rather than plane, Which route i should take ? and what should beginners need to know about interrail and etc.

Is there someone currently in Montpellier who can help me find a cheap place to stay? My train got moved and everything I find is way to expensive.

We would like to start with discovering the Greek islands, but when checking the timetables at the website of Interrail, there are no trains available to Athens. So we know the Hellas expres does not drive anymore so we are thinking to take a bus, but which bus connection do you recommend to get easy and on a budget to Athens?  ThanksssKato

Hi all!I want to go on a regional train tomorrow from Modena to Parma as part of my Italy interrail trip.However, I only found 3 regional trains departing at 9, 10 and 11 AM. Checking the trenitalia website, I could see that there are many more trains that do not appear in the timetable.I know the possibility of adding them to the trip manually as I have already done it, but I want to make sure that doing so won't be a problem if an inspector checks my ticket (I say if because the inspectors don't always go by, specially in regional trains).If you have ever taken this solution, could you tell me your experience?Thanks in advance. (train times are added at the bottom for those who don't want to read) Serbia is not impossible, it is awkward but if you are determined to go it's fairly cheap and easy once you are in. My experienceSo the trains are a mess here. Nothing is traveling internationally except the BAR train in Montenegro. Most likely you are coming from Sofia, Budapest or Sarajevo. You will want to get a bus into Novi sad, Belgrade or Nis from there the trains rún semi frequently but delays are common and you will crawl through the countryside. The Belgrade to Nis train travels at 30km per hour. The Novi sad line is not much better. No ticket vendor will help you, just don't bother asking anyone behind a desk. The locals are more friendly though. Buy a coffee and ask your questions there. Luckily the information is pretty easy to find and is reliable. If you leave yourself plenty of time you should be fine. Now i knew things were a mess before I left Budapest for Belgrade and since this info was not onlin

Hi all,I am currently travelling in Lithuania. I know that the connections are not possible from Poland and yet took a bus to come. However, the application shows that it is possible to travel through the inner main cities - for example, Vilnius-Klaupedia, Vilnius-Šiauliai…Moreover I read on related topics that it was possible to travel in Lithuania with Interrail. And on the website, it is written that bookings are not compulsory.  However this morning, I took a train to Šiauliai and the controller validated my ticket, but she said I was missing the booking. Then I had to pay a bus to come back because they were no booking available anymore.  My question is, how do you normally travel with Interrail in Lithuania, without the booking fees ? At the station, I was told that the booking was not for free. But in the app, it is not written that a booking is mandatory and as I wrote, it is even mentionned that it us not compulsory.  Thanks in advance for your answers !

Hello :)In about a month I’m going inter railing and I’m currently trying to figure out my route, but I’m kinda stuck at athens. I’m not sure where to find any information on greek public transportation, as it’s not on the eurail app. I’m trying to find the best way to go from athens to Italy, if anyone has any possible routes it would be highly appreciated!! Or anywhere to get more information on greek public transport. Btw I have a global pass :)
