Can’t find any train from Sofia or any other destinations to Athens. Aren’t there any international trains to Athens?

Hi, I start an Europe tour with interrailsince December until February 2022…and because the bad connections between trains and the absence of informations and itinerary in the application interrail, I already payed 3 bus to cross the Baltic country…did you know how can I contact interail customer services and request for a refund ? I already payed 500€ and now I’m paying the supplement for all the bus..it’s not fear !!!thank you

Hi all,  I am new at interrailing, Very exited to start traveling!  The plan is to go to the Nordic area, specifically, from Amsterdam to Stockholm (Sweden)- > Oslo (Norway) to → Kopenhagen (Denmark). To go from Amsterdam to Stockholm it will be 16 to 20 hours. So I will kinda miss a day!!  My proposal is: get a flight to Stockholm and from there I start with interrailing.Is that possible?So can I start with another city than stated as country of residence (Amsterdam) (inbound outbound) on your pas.  Amsterdam→ STockholm: catch a flightStockholm → Oslo: InterrailOslo→ Kopenhagen : InterrailKopenhagen → Amsterdam: Interrail I just don't have many days that I can miss.I hope to here from you guys… So I can start booking. SIeghayris

Leuke interrailers!Dit bericht is in het Nederlands, maar reageer gerust in het Engels.Mijn vriend en ik zijn bezig met het plannen van onze interrailreis en zouden graag het Tatra-gebergte in Slowakije willen bezoeken vanuit het plaatsje Starý Smokovec. Nu zijn we daarvoor in Krakau. Het probleem is dat de treinplanners ons via een grote omweg sturen (Via Katowice naar Tsjechië) om vervolgens Slowakije in te komen. Ik denk dat de grens tussen Polen en Slowakije dicht is? Weet iemand of deze grenzen binnenkort weer opengaan en/of er weer treinen gaan rijden tussen Polen en Slowakije. Eigenlijk tussen Krakau en Poprad/Starý Smokovec?Groetjes!

Good day all. I am just in the planning stages for an October birthday trip (from Canada, first time to Europe) and these issues with the rail system are quite concerning.  We plan to go via Amsterdam and stop in Brussels, Bruges and on to Paris.  Do I need to book the trains this far out?  And how do you manage issues with travel?  I would like a fairly stress-free trip, but now I wonder if that is possible with these train issues.   So, is two months out enough time to book trains, sight-seeing tickets etc?  I haven’t booked my flights yet so have time to consider other destinations as well.  Is it worth going to Europe?

Hello :) my girlfriend and I are planning to travel through Scandinavia with the interrail pass. We will start on the 15th of July and will be travelling for 2 months. I was wondering if any of you have some tips on what to see. Mainly we want to hike a lot, go kayaking, maybe rafting. Also we will take a tent with us, so that we can save some money. ich fahre am 6.08 nach London von Leipzig und habe das Problem, dass ich bereits vor dem Herunterladen der app eine Sitzplatzreservierung gekauft habe (für Brüssel-London) und nun merke, dass ich für die Verbindung, die ich herausgesucht habe (also diesen journey in der App) noch eine Sitzplatzreservierung von Köln nach Brüssel benötige, die aber nun nicht mehr erhältlich ist. Was soll ich jetzt tun? Ich kann ja nur den einen Journey mit der bereits gebuchten Sitzplatzreservierung buchen und benötige aber noch eine Sitzplatzreservierung, für die ich aber nur noch eine andere Verbindung nehmen kann.

I’m don’t quite understand the map shown in https://www.eurail.com/en/plan-your-trip/railway-map : It only shows the biggest European cities but it doesn’t show all the routes the Eurail covers, right?For example: in the link provided I don’t see the route between Paris and Zurich, but I know there is a way to do it as shown in the “Eurail-Map-2021.pdf”. Does the Eurail-Map-2021.pdf show the real and all possible routes that I will be able to make with the Eurail global pass? Or the PDF shows all routes possible, but not all of them are in the global pass?I’m trying to understand what the limitations of the global pass are when traveling western Europe.Thanks in advance.

Planning on traveling in the UK (9/14/2022) from London to Liverpool, around Yorkshire, over to Ireland and then back going along the Southwest coast to Penzance (for a play at the Minack on 9/29/2022) then finally back to London. (If we have time we’ll shoot over to Amsterdam for a couple days at the end of our trip.)  Will our Global Europass be sufficient or do we need a Britrail pass as well? Hoping not to have to buy both. I have tried mapping it on line and Penzance does not even come up as a choice. Also hoping to use the ferry to Ireland but not sure if I can with the Eurail global pass. Any help would be appreciated. We’re getting close to our departure time. Thanks. 

Hello!We are wondering how to go from Östersund(SE)  to Trondheim (NO). In the interrail app you don't see quick options to travel between these cities. Nevertheless, we have realized that taking trains from Östersund to Storlien (Sweden) and Storlien (Norway) to Trondheim separately, the trip does not take more than 4 hours. Has anyone done this route? Do Storlien (Sweden) and Storlien (Norway) are the same train Station?Does anyone recommend how to cross between the two countries?Thank you very much!

Hello,I want to travel from Madrid to Bordeaux. I found good train from Madrid to Irún (Spanish border) and from Hendaye (french border) to Bordeaux.Irun and Hendaye train stations are like 3 km apart. Is there no train between them? Or busses?The only trains I found on rome2rio are badly timed.Any experience about this?When you search Madrid-Bordeaux it suggests you via Barcelona/ Narbonne. That's a huge detour.Thank you!

We have interrail pass (1 month of traveling) and we have a few questions. 1) When I activate my pass in mobile app, will it automaticly generate QR code of the ticket? I know, that I need to reserve the train in the app, but I mean, when sth happens and we need to quickly run into another train and don't manage to reserve it in the app, is there still possibility, that I have my ticket in the app and I can show it to the ticket person in the train without previous booking of the train? 2) We will be also traveling in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. There your app is not working. But we found out, that you have some discount on bus tickets for example. Can you please tell me, how I can use this discount? I was trying to book some ride with company we should have discount, but I couldn't find some space do add the discount. Hey everyone,I have a problem with my Mobile Pass and my country of residence (Germany).A few weeks ago I travelled from Vienna (Austria) to Innsbruck (Austria). Between the stations Salzbruck and Wörgl the train (EC662 / RJ662) crosses the German border twice, but it does not stop in Germany (see pictures). Nevertheless, I had to use a country of residence trip for this route.Now I’m in Germany and I’m stuck, because I don’t have any more trips in or out of my country of residence. Do you know what I could do? Has one of you been in a similar situation in the past?All the best!

After doing some research I’ve found that the train from belgrade to Budapest  stops in novi sad and that there’s also a rail replacement bus. Does anyone know anything about this bus (note travelling in early September):can I get it from Belgrade or is it from novi sad ?is the bus a night bus ?is it included in the inter rail ticket ?would it be better to get the flexi bus from Belgrade to Budapest for 15€ since I’m on the 15 day in 2 months tickets.  also does anyone know if the train from Belgrade to zagreb is running yet as an alternate route ? Thanks in advance, Harry.
