Hello!I am searching for a route between Berlin and Split. Right now, I have 2 options: by Flixbus from Zagreb to Split, or with a nightboat from Ancona to Split. Both are not fully covered by the global pass. What is the best way to travel to Split? (I think by boat, but the journey to the boat isn't pleasant in my opinion)Thanks!

Hello Crowd! At the beginning of February 2022 I would like to travel from Berlin to Istanbul. I have already seen that the train between Sofia and Istanbul is not running right now. Alternative is the bus. Do any of you have more detailed information if the train will run again in the near future? Or why there is nothing going on right now? I have planned to travel the following route: Berlin - Vienna - Budapest - Craiova - Vidin - Sofia - Istanbul Do you think this connection is cool? Have any of you ever traveled from Germany to Turkey and would like to share your experiences? Thanks!  

Hi, I was wondering how I get to certain landmarks, activities etc that are not reachable by train. Let’s say that if I stay at a certain hostel somewhere, and an activity is 1 hour away, how would I get there? I assume bus is the common answer, do I just buy a ticket in the bus or are there certain bus companies that are covered by interrail? Thank you, David

Hi! My friends and I this summer are planning to travel for 3 weeks crossing Europe, starting from our country (Italy) we want to reach our travel destination: Lofoten. We are scouts so even if we’ll probably bring with us a tend, especially in big cities we’ll probably have to book some hostels.We’ve never undertaken an experience like that, so we’re really excited.I’ve lot of questions and I hope you can help me:1) We planned to stay only one day in each city, in such a way that we can reach our destination and still have 1 week to come back here in Italy. What do you think? Could it be a good idea or should we reduce the amount of destinations?2) How much time before our departure (which is set to the 18th of july) shall we book trains and hostels?3) Trains in norway are covered by the Interrail pass? travel by train from Greece to Amsterdam.  What is the best and fastest way to travel from Greece to Amsterdam? Is there a high speed rail to travel and ho0w many hours is it? What are the terms for travel via train due to covid? Rapid, pcr, etc?

I would like to hear your advice on my travel plans.Hope to be able to make this trip in the months of May, June or at the latest in September 2022. Have a global pass, 4 days within 1 month. My journey will start in Belgium, my home country.There I will take the train in Essene, Liedekerke or Denderleeuw. I want to use the Nightjet connections to Italy, and would like to travel to Rome because this is the southernmost connection that can be reached by Nightjet.From Brussels I would then travel to Munich with ICE. From Munich I then take the Nightjet to Rome, arriving in Rome at 9.10 am. Hopefully if the Nightjet isn't delayed, I'd like to take a trip to Naples too. This would only be 1 hour away by train.I would also like to see the Leaning Tower of Pisa (if there is enough time)The 3rd day that we use the interrail pass, we have to arrive in the village, La Cure, in Switzerland. Hello! I am considering buying Eurail passes for our upcoming trip to Europe. Will be starting in Amsterdam (boarding a river cruise there), ending the cruise in Basel Switzerland, then going to Italy. Just wanting to get any insight on ease of use, if most cities accept these for local travel as well as city to city travel. I am thinking about Basel to Zurich then to the Bernina Express into Italy (Milan, Lake Como, Cinque Terre, Brescia). Would appreciate any assistance or tips from those of you who have made these treks before.  Many thanks in advance.

I am looking at purchasing the Eurail pass for Switzerland, but I cannot find any information on whether or not the pass will allow travel on the various scenic trains (Bernina Express, Glacier Express, Golden Pass).  I do see that it allows transit to and from Luzern - Interlaken - Montreux - Zermatt, but are these on the scenic trains, or regional trains. Any assistance would be appreciated.

It’s my first real trip abroad.I’m not sure which of my two planned tours is better for me.Trip 1:Copenhagen – Gothenburg – Oslo – Stockholm – HelsinkiTrip 2:Vienna – Ljubljana – Budapest – (Bratislava -) Prague – Warsaw – Krakow (Start ist in Germany)A trip to Scandinavia has been a dream of mine for a long time. But it is much more expensive than Eastern Europe. And I also want to see the Northern Lights once in my life, so maybe I should do this trip in another winter.Eastern Europe is much cheaper. Is it advisable to choose Eastern Europe as your first trip? Are there better alternatives for beginners?And another question: Would it be better to book the hostels in advance or is a spontaneous booking possible? I’m afraid the best hostels fully booked.

Hello there, This summer we want to travel from the Netherlands to Paris, and then to Italy. I'm traveling with a child, so I don't want the routes to be too long. We don't want to be in the train for like 6 hours. So I planned this: Breda - Brussels or directly to Paris. Paris - Lyon.Then I get stuck. I want to travel to Italy then. If not to far out of the direction we would like to see Marseille and Nice and Monte Carlo. But if that is a route that takes much more time then we would like to go straight to Italy. But if I use the app interrail app I get incredibly long train times, either from Lyon or from Nice. Is that correct? What is the fastest route to get to Italy? If going through Lyon/Marseille/Nice takes so long, then maybe it's better to go from Paris straight to Italy? Or maybe a sleeping train? I can’t see how I can find this in the interrail app.  I hope someone can give me advice on this.And them in Italy we want to see: Milan, Venice, Rome, Toscane and maybe Florence.

Was planning a route with my friends for a 3 week interrail in June. From anyone with experience, is this do-able?

A note for anyone taking the train from Belgrade to Podgorica. On the Interrail app and website when you search for Beograd and select Beograd Central, it automatically switches to Topcider. I learnt the hard way that the train does indeed go from Beograd Central and not Topcider. Do not go to Topcider.

Hello, I am currently planning an interrail trip for August! I was just wanting a little bit of advice about how long to spend in each place? For example, I was going to buy the 10 travel day pass and travel for 3 weeks, I have 10 places down to visit, averaging 2 days in each place (so travelling to next place every other morning/evening) Here is my preliminary itiniary, does anyone know if this will be doable at all? Or is it worth taking out one place or so just to lengthen it out slightly? Just don't want to be stressed moving lots from one place to another! Thank you so much! 

Hey,I'm not sure, how it's possible to get new lines into the interrail pass. I was researching this year about overtourism/ public transportation in Iceland. There's the idea to add bus services in the pass, like between France and Spain, to stop the high usage of cars by tourists there. How can we support to bring the long-distance bus company and Eurail together in a dialog? Greetingsnnf635

So I’m relatively new here so please excuse any issues in the phrasing.I’ve booked a 15 travel days within 2 months interrail pass to go around Europe from the 29th April - 10th July with a friend, this is our first big trip and I'm doing most of the organising as I like to know exactly what I'm doing at all times (occupational hazard of being a perfectionist!) Our trip is taking us in a reverse C shape starting in Belgium and winding down through Prague and Vienna. But I’ve reached a bit of an impasse though when navigating travel through and around Croatia. The plan was to go from Lake Bled, Budapest, Zagreb & Split, Sofia and then down to Athens. I understand the trainlines are under construction but I'm struggling to find any reasonable route through this area that isn't 48 hours long! Thus must be a simple question available somewhere but could someone tell me what EU countries accept Eurail global pass which are not in Schengen zone? I think UK is one. Maybe Scandinavian countries?
