Hi All! I want to take night trains throughout my entire trip to maximize my time in Europe. Is this possible? Looking to land and depart from Brussels, to Dusseldorf, to Berlin, to Leipzig, to Prague, to Vienna, to Salzburg, to Munich, to Zurich, ending in Frankfurt. Is this even possible? I think some of these places are only a few hours way from each other.

Hi, I’m planning an extensive trip with a buddy of mine. The goal is ultimately to reach Istanbul within 5 weeks starting from Amsterdam. The idea is to start our trip in Spain, either Madrid, Barcelona or Bilbao. However the reservation costs for the Thalys/TGV are so expensive we’ve started to look at alternatives for crossing Belgium/France. What is looking to be like the most bang for our buck is taking the Intercity from Amsterdam to Brussels, Thalys from Brussels to Paris and the TGV to Barcelona, for around 54 euros. But still 54 euros is a decent amount of money. I was wondering if there’s anyone who has taken the same route but with different trains and cheaper reservations costs. Thanks!

Planning to go for a month, leaving the UK around the 10th of August, with the following plans- -Amsterdam, Netherlands-Prague, Czech Republic-Budapest, Hungary-Bled, Slovenia-Verona, Italy Currently away from the UK atm in Greece, n this has cost a ton in Covid tests, been a load of hassle with paperwork and tens days isolation upon return to the UK so just interesting if anyone knows the feasibility of this trip for August! Cheers in Advance xModerator note: swear words have been deleted. 

Hello All,My son turns 18 next year and we’re planning a Father/Son trip across Europe to celebrate. We’ll be starting in the UK and ideally ending up in Crete. We will probably have to squeeze the trip into 7-10 days as we’ll both be working next summer. My questions are: Anyone got any route/itinerary suggestions for the trip? Is the ferry from Athens to Crete included in a Eurail pass?We plan to fly back from Crete (if we make it there!) and the sooner we can nail down a rough itinerary the sooner we can book the flights and the cheaper they’ll be :-)Thanks in advance.

Hi everyone! I would like to go to Wroclaw for 2 or 3 days at the beginning of August. I like city but I also want to see a bit of nature, especially national park, forest and mountains.I’m wondering if there is something like that near Wroclaw? Hi! I would like to buy the greek islands pass but I want to check first which greeks islands are connected and if it worths it (for example I would like to visit mykonos, santorini, milos and creta. Is it possible?! Or is it difficult?). I can't find the connections between islands in the interrail page (it seems as only a few of them are connected) and I would be very happy if someone could solve me this doubth! Thank you very much!! :)

Hi I'm new to interailling and have been planning a 3 week trip for August 2022 for my 50th and my sons 18th for the last 8 months.Admittedly I have changed my route several times but I think it's getting to how I want our trip to look like.My route is…UK to Paris x3, Rust/Europa-Park x2, Garmisch-Partenkirchen x3, Lake Como x4, Vienna x2, Krakow x2, Berlin x3, Dortmund x2 then back to the UK.Any information or advice will be of a great help to us. Hi! This year in august i am going to interrail for the first time. My plan was Athens - Thessaloniki - Skopje - Belgrade - Budapest - Prague - Frankfurt - Rotterdam. But i just found out that there are no trains between Thessaloniki - Skopje - Belgrade and i think there is also no direct train from Belgrade to Budapest in august.  I was planning on travelling for 21 days but since there are no direct trains this planning might be to much for 21 days. Is there anyone that knows a more realistic plan? Is it better to skip Greece? Thanks for your help!

I am Emma, from Italy and I’m planning my first Interrail journey.I would like to know every possible information since it is my first and solo trip!I’m planning to do this itinerary:  (16 August, flight from home to) Berlin - Warsaw - Prague - Budapest - Sarajevo - Split (3 September, flight home) / planning to spend 2 nights in Berlin - 3 nights in Warsaw - 4 nights in Prague and Budapest - 2 nights in Sarajevo and 3 nights in Split.First of all I’d like to know if it is a wise choice to visit these cities in this order, (or I need some more).Next I wondered how many travel days do I need (I was thinking about 5 days), and how does the pass for the trains work.But if I should know something else do not hesitate telling me! :)Thanks! 

For many Railpassusers the Glacier and Berninaexpress are a must do when traveling arround Switzerland. Many use the fully air-conditioned “panorama trains”, some of which have very high reservation fees. The advantage of these trains is that they run directly and with a dinning service (pre booking recommened).The BerninaExpress in the spiral viaduct of BrusioBut @runner.on.rails (he provided the pictures for this post)  and I prefer the normaltrains on these routes as you can open on many of them the windows (Better pictures as in the “Panoramic Trains” as these have no openable windows). Another advantage these trains goes every hour this means i can stop on the route when i just wanna enjoy the view. A good stop on the Route of the Glacier Express is Andermatt or the Oberalpass 🙂 for the Bernina Route i would suggest a stop in “Ospizio Bernina” or “Alp Grüm”. It is understood that train trip from OSLO to BERGEN is very scenic. Please suggest a train trip  (planned for April 2022) with train details from Oslo to Bergen to enjoy the scenic route.

Hello Travellovers Many of you plan trips with places you known before or that are written in bold letters on the interrail map. This option is very efficient but, also very likely to miss some really nice places. Today I want to introduce you one hidden gem close to my domicile:The Rorschach Heiden BahnIt is located in the north east of Switzerland and starts directly from lake constance.view over lake constanceView down to Thal and Rheineck as seen from Wienacht-Tobel. From here you can also do a nice hike over the ridge “Steiniger Tisch” and along the river “alter Rhein” to Rheineck.Along the mentioned hiking route you can also find this quite view place where benches are installed. Just a few minutes from the station “Wienacht-Tobel”. View from “Steiniger Tisch”.    Once per week they use old rolling stock.But the open carriages in summer are the highlight. There is also a nice viewing place with grilling possibilities called “Fünfländerblick”.
