Hi,Could someone please clarify: if I purchase a Eurail Global Pass, will it allow me to travel on high-speed trains operated by companies like Deutsche Bahn (DB) in Germany and Trenitalia's Frecciarossa in Italy? Specifically, can I use the pass for both domestic journeys (from one city to another city in Italy or France to explore whole city) within a country and international trips between countries, such as traveling from Germany to France and then to Italy?Thank you!

I’m travelling from London and I’m planning my trip, I just want to know if I have to add London as my starting destination as well as my ending destination 

Hi all,I’m trying to work out a route from London to Zagreb at the beginning of August. There will be 4 (with 2 older teenagers) of us and we are meeting friends in Croatia.We would have already used our In and Out of home country ticket at this point from an earlier planned trip into Europe. Now I am trying to work out a route down to Zagreb - we have 5 days to use on our passes. I am assuming Eurostar is our best route in and out as well. I did wonder if it would be cheaper to Eurotunnel into France and park up. I could not find anything on this plan, and I know this takes away the rail adventure.My first thoughts were to head to Munich, Vienna, Budapest and then Zagreb - I think this may be too much for a week. My partner really wants to go into the Alps but we are concerned by the prices of Switzerland so could maybe do 1 night there. I was hoping for advice on a nice route to Zagreb which could get the Alps in and Vienna as well. Hello! We are trying to book a train on May 31 from Nuremberg to Rothenburg Ob Der Tauber. All the trains that day show unable to be booked. The problem looks to be the connection in Ansbach. Can anyone tell me what’s going with Ansbach and how we can book a train? Thanks! 

Hey - finalising our route for September 2025 and I’d like some advice please! We are getting the train from Glasgow with a 4yr old - she’s a great traveller. We plan spending around 10 days in Northern Italy and Southern Germany, but have around 20 days in total for the trip. Hi Community!I am traveling to switzerland and booked hotel near Interlaken west. I am aware that most departures are from interlaken OST so I will be getting Interlaken guest to make my commute easier.I have a confusion and hope that you all will try to address it.I am not purchasing any kind of jungfraujoch pass since I am purchasing Eurail pass so will be buying individual tickets for top of the europe and Gridenlwald first at discounts available for pass holders.My Question is:Travel to Jungfraujoch – Top of Europe:I am seeing the tickets on the website are they are as follows:https://www.jungfrau.ch/en-gb/jungfraujoch-top-of-europe/buy-jungfraujoch-ticket/I am not sure which location should I choose? Hello I have planned to visit europe from 25th April to 30th May 2025. I purchase 10 days flexible global pass ticket.First 10 days I will roam around the italy then Switzerland next 7 days and subsequently France, Belgium, Netherlands.When I search a trip in the eurail rail planner app I didn't find the stations name though if I zoom the maps I can see the stations. But It is bit difficult to find my exact train station name near to my accomodation. Rail planner map does not switch to satellites mode also.My concern, is there any way to see all the station  name of a country or city near to my accomodation. Is there any option to switch rail planner map default mode to satellite mode?Thanks in advance. Profound regards

Hello!I am currently planning an interrail through the French Riviera and the Northwest Italy.My plan is to travel from Madrid, then Barcelona, travel by the French Riviera, Northwest Italy and finnally get to Milan. I want to make the whole travel by train, but I’m struggling to find options to get back to Madrid. One option was to get night trains, but I realized that there are not a lot of them… One of the options was to get a night train to Paris, and another one to Barcelona and finnaly, Madrid (so I wouldn’t need to pay for hostels). Do you think it's feasible? What other options should I consider? Thank you!

Hello, I am trying to book 2 seat reservations from Milan to Zermatt for May 25 2025.  When I checked the Eurail website a week ago, there were plenty of seats available and the website stated no reservations needed.  When checking today, the only seat reservations are for a bus from Milan to Domodossola. Earlier, there were trains available.  Also, there are still seats available for a train from Milan to Zermatt, but those trains depart at 0745, which is a bit early, and also seem to possibly book before our trip.  How can I book seat reservations from Milan to Zermatt without needing to ride a bus on the first leg to Domodossola?  If I do need to book a bus seat on that leg, is there a link where I can do this? Dear Eurail community,I have bought a Global Pass. Could you please share one or more recommendations for the route Freiburg (Germany) - Roma? The idea is:Freiburg - Milano: here’s where I need the recommendation.Milano - Roma: it’s easy, just a direct Frecciarossa, I don’t have doubts here. For Freiburg - Milano, I read in this forum that the EC 151 is often delayed, and SBB has been lately strict with delayed trains coming from Germany. So, I could take other options. I could do Freiburg - Basel - Milano. Freiburg - Basel is quite easy. The main doubt/advice needed is for Basel - Milano as I read in the forum more than one option, but considering that later I’m going to Rome (in the same day) I’d like to see what recommendations you would have. Thanks in advance! 🚃

I’m travelling through Italy to Croatia with my family in August. We’re booked on the overnight ferry from Ancona to Split on a Friday evening and staying in Rome the night before.Please could anyone offer advice on the best route from Rome to Ancona? The obvious option is the circa 4 hour direct regional train. But there’s only one direct train that day that gets in in time for the ferry check in. So wondering whether we might be better to go via Bologna. It seems a very long way around but doesn’t take much more time and because there are lots of trains, we’d have options is trains are cancelled or delayed. And we’d bag another city and possibly some lunch in Bologna on the way. Is it sensible to go so far off the direct route though?We have first class passes so would benefit from Business class on Fercciarossa.What’s the scenery like on both routes?Any advice? Hi there, I wanted to go to Italy by train with my mum and medium size dog.First we wanted to go from Czech republic thru Greece and then Italy and back, but it seems Greece isn’t passable still. We replanned and decided to go around Italy, but I wasn't able to make a reservation in night train from Vienna to Rome.Then I haven't found any information or possibility to book a ticket for a dog or any condition on the web of Tranitalia.I am quite lost.Do you have any experience with / suggestions for traveling by trains around Europe with a dog and mum by the time of Christmas? :)Thank you for any help!

I had been planning trip from Naples to Paris in a single day on 20 May, one night hotel in Paris before returning to UK on 21 May.However, Naples to Paris is to be over 2 days.  I had thought overnight in Mulhouse, because its small so should be easier for accommodation near the station.  A commenter has put me off staying there.My requirements are this: an easy trip on day 2 so can grab a good few hours in Paris.  A place that is safe, cheap and easily accessible to the train station for an early start on day 2 to Paris.  Low reservations.  And preferably beautifully scenic.That is the ideal, asking a lot, but prepared to compromise.  Also happy to have longer connections in interesting stations .Any ideas and plans would be gratefully accepted.Thank you 

Hello everyone!Just landed at Copenhagen Airport and activated my Eurail Global pass. Planning a trip to Hamburg, Germany.The guy at the DSB ticketing counter is telling me I have to go the main Railway Station which is Kobenhavens Lufthaven... Which is CPH Lufthaven in English, I suppose.But isn't that the airport station itself? I mean, I am at the airport station itself because I just flew into Copenhagen Airport...Can anybody point me to the name of the station I need to enter on the pass to catch trains to Hamburg?Thanks in advance!

Hey:) so some friends and I want to go from Zurich to Palermo by train. We saw that there was a train from Milan to Palermo, so we thought we could take it as a night train, which would count as one day. Now that we are planning in the app the only options that show up all have 4-8 connections and some don’t include the ferry (which the train goes on) Can someone tell me if it’s even possible to take the night train from Milan to Palermo with interrail? Should I ask an Italian train office? 

It is our first time travelling through Europe (2 adults and an 8 year old) via train and we are going from Paris to St Moritz on Saturday 5th April. Our two options are the 7:22 via Zurich to arrive at 15:07 or the 8:27 via Mulhouse ville and Basel to arrive at 17:07.The second option has 3 changes and is a little longer but also cheaper and a more sociable departure time! The cost is not a huge factor in this but I have read the Paris - Zurich train is a beautiful route.Which route would you recommend and are we asking for more potential issues by having 3 stops rather than 2.Many thanks!

My son loves travelling and discovering new countries. He turns 13 this July and a couple of years ago we agreed that for his 13th birthday we would do a big trip together.I'm looking for:A. My family and I are arriving in Nice on the night train from Paris in late July. We then wish to travel to Rome. What is the best way to do this? Ideally we would visit Florence on the way. Or, take another night train from somewhere? Thank you
