My paper Eurail pass has been stolen but I still have seat reservations I made while I had the pass. Are they any good without the pass?
Hello and thanks to this community for helping customers !I made some seat reservation for train tickets from Stuttgart for Paris. This reservation is for 15/10/2023I received the tickets from interrail mail.Later I received a mail from SNCF : the departure from Stuttgart was cancelled, due to modernization works on rails. The train now departs from Karlsruhe.I’m sort of okay with this updated option anyway. However, I need to check the updated information for my ticket. The SNCF mail invited me to perform a cancellation or modification of this travel trough their website. However, I am not interested in cancelling the ticket, I simply need to get the updated ticket.Furthermore, the reference for this travel is not recognized on any of their website (neither sncf-connect or dossier.sncf-voyageurs)I am a bit at a loss here :/Please rememeber, I just need to get and check the updated information (date, hour and precise departure station) for this new ticket. Were will I get this informati
We’re affected by the cancellation until November of the Paris-Milan service due to a landslide. Do we contact SNCF directly for a refund or go through InterRail (or will it happen automatically)? We’ve re-routed via Nice but (while fortunate to have a first class pass) only second class InterRail reservations were available Paris-Nice. As it’s a special trip, it would be nice to go first and first class seats are still available on the SNCF website. Is there a way of doing this? (My understanding is that under EU law, SNCF have an obligation to re-route as close as possible to the original booking.)
Bueno, muchas gracias!
I got the 19:10 CFR train from Budapest to bucharest supposed to be arrive 11:19 local time. It's now 15:40 and will probably be arriving within the hour. That's a delay of around 5 hours and with no explanation why. We left on time and as we went on progressively became more and more behind schedule.
Hello everyone,I have a few questions regarding some advice people have given here:Why is it unwise to activate travel days or my pass itself in advance, if I can always deactivate it before the day starts? Why is it unwise to plan your whole trip in advance? AnnaB said in another post “If you travel right now, the only journeys connected to your pass should be those for today and previous days.” But why? Can’t I always remove or add trains to my pass/trip if needed, even if the day is already activated? I don’t really see the disadvantage here. Just for absolute clarification and inner peace: I have a 4-day Flexi-Pass and I also am 100% sure on which days my pass needs to be active. So if I don’t mess up the activation days, is there really anything I can do wrong or have to be careful about?Thank you very much in advance! :)
Dear Community, I am a senior travelling with Interrail for the first time and have opted for the mobile pass (global pass). Question: in case I lose my smartphone during the trip/it becomes defective, how can I prove my valid Interrail pass?Thank you for your help,Medi
Is 20 minutes enough time to transfer from an arriving Eurostar train at Brussels Midi to a departing IC train to Liege. The Liege train is the last one of the day at about 23:00 and leaves from platform 11. Since we have the Eurail global pass, can we just board the IC train straightaway?
On holiday from 21st to 29th October 2023 inclusive. Travelling from Portsmouth (UK) and want to travel to the four Nordic capitals (Oslo, Stockholm, Copenhagen and Helsinki) if possible. Not worried about reservation costs and will be travelling 1st class. Can anyone suggest best route, maybe Eurostar to Paris or Brussels and then onward from there?
I had a reservation for an INOUI from Paris to Barcelona and it arrived 82 minutes late.Is there a way to get a refund? The reservation was made via the Interrail provider. Thanks in advance!
We want to give a special shoutout to @MartijnV @soveas @Lorenzo.f15 @CatyRoss @polyman & @JonK for joining our internal online lunch and learn series. Our team really enjoyed learning about your experiences and how we can improve our app, website, and Pass. Some of the session's highlights included learning about @CatyRoss’s passion for making rail maps. They're really cool! Switzerland is her favorite destination to Euraill/Interrail and you can check out her map, here. Another highlight was learning about the deep dive rail exploration into Eastern Europe by @MartijnV. Read his super interesting posts on alternative border crossings here and here.We plan to have more opportunities to involve our community in the future. We reserved a ticket and a seat on Eurostar train from London to Brussels on 22 September at 19:34. We would like to take an earlier train that day but it looks like all the earlier have either no tickets or seats. What are the chances of being able to buy a ticket and seat on an earlier Eurostar train by simply showing up early at the st pancras train station and talking to a Eurostar ticket agent? We would use the Eurail global pass to buy the ticket.
Hi everyone! I am considering buying a 4-day Greek Island Pass for myself and my sister, but before purchasing, I would like to clarify an issue that seems to have popped up for many others. Is it or is it no longer required to book domestic ferries in chronological order? I’m seeing some conflicting information (both saying yes and no) on the forum, and wanted to see if I can clarify this. The reason I am wondering is because I would like to start by booking a 5-day stay in Naxos during September (i.e. a return ticket) via the Hellenic Seaways website. From Naxos, I would like to make the most out of my pass and use it one day to go to Paros, and maybe to another island nearby (bringing me to 4 days in total of travelling domestically). However, I do not want to risk that by booking the return ticket online, I cannot use the pass at all during the days in between going to Naxos and leaving Naxos. We would be leaving Greece immediately after our return from Naxos, and could thus not mak
The French national railways has announced that rail traffic between Modane and St-Michel-Valloire will be disrupted for the coming weeks due to a landslide that was reported in the French Alps on 27th August. This would impact train journeys on the route between Paris – Turin – Milan. Read more about it on the SNCF website. If you were planning to travel on the impacted route, we recommend using an alternative route via Zurich. Please note that the route from Paris – Zurich – Milan is currently facing a delay due to the closure of the Gotthard Tunnel in Switzerland (check post below for more information). Please make sure to check the SBB timetable shortly before departure of your planned journeys for up-to-date information. Additionally, due to weather conditions, multiple railway lines in the Alps are currently disrupted in Austria, Switzerland, and Italy. Please check the ÖBB website for updated information to see if your planned journey will be impacted for travel in Austria. Ther
I am from Canada and will be traveling from Civitavecchia to Rome for the first time. I am not familiar with the train stations in Italy. When planning my trip, it shows two options for Rome: Rome and Rome Termini. Which one is the correct one to choose if my hotel is the Crowne Plaza? Also, should I expect any issues with getting a ticket if I don't reserve ahead of time?
How do I get a refund for the TGV seat reservations I made with the Interrail route planner if the route doesn’t reopen before I travel?
We would like to visit our friends in Germany. They use the Montabaur station. When we type it into reservations it doesn’t show up. Is it not included it is a DB train from Munich?
With the recent disruptions of multiple railways lines in the Alps, will my train - named RJ 131 - be affected on its journey from Vienna to Venice? It leaves on the morning of Sept 7th at 6 am.
Hi everybody, i’d like to travel with my 11 years old (12 when we’ll make the trip) through France and Spain. We live in Brussels and we have planned to go to Nimes, Lleida, Zaragoza, Madrid, Toledo,Granada, San Sebastian and Biarritz. I would like to know if you think that it will be cheaper if we travel with the pass or not.
Hello, I searched trying to find an answer to this question but I still need some clarification. I would like to start my travel a few days AFTER my 28th birthday. Could I “activate” the pass the day before my birthday and pick a first travel day, but not actually use the train that day? Or is the pass not “activated” at the start of your first travel day if you don’t physically scan your pass at the train station and start your journey. Thank you!!!!
Hello - I had 2 fraudulent charges made on my AMEX to EURAIL, and I need to get them reversed ASAP.
Hello to all of you! I would like to know if I buy the Global Pass, can I use some days to move around in the same country?
If I have the Eurail Global Pass, what is the max days ahead of departure that I can reserve my seat?
I currently have a work visa in the UK and have been here for over three years. My visa expires at the end of September this year and I would like to travel around Europe for two months from the beginning of September. Is the InterRail Pass available in this case?I believe I am entitled to buy an InterRail pass because my work visa in the UK is still valid at the start of my trip and I have been resident in the UK for more than six months. However, that visa will expire at the end of September and I will be entering the UK on a tourist visa when I re-enter the UK after my tour of Europe. In that case, will I not be able to use my InterRail pass as I will not be resident in the UK when I re-enter?I will visit some friends in the UK for the last time after my European tour and then return to my home country. Please let me know if anyone has had a similar experience.Thank you.
