We are planning a trip to South West France and North West Spain in the summer around late July early August. I am really struggling to find trains from San Sebastian to Bilbao. Is it better to give up on it and take the bus?
Which train is the best to join Ankara from Istanbul?
1st or 2nd class? What benefits is ususaly included? Lounges? Seat reservation?
Hello, I’m Planning to take the EC 459 Canopus/EN 40459 from Mannheim HBF to Praha hl.n. I am aware the rule for sleeper trains is that you have to have a pass valid only for the departing date, not the arriving date. However, if the train scheduled for 23:40 arrival to Mannheim gets delayed and arrives past midnight, am I now unable to board the train? Thanks in advance!
Is interrail in Portugal recommended?
I want to go with my family (my wife and our 2 teenage daughters) from Belgium to Istanbul by train. We already have tickets for the night train to Vienna.I have 2 questions. Next step is to buy tickets for the night train from Budapest to Bucharest (we have an interrail pass), I understand you can book 90 days upfront. And I see on this website under seat reservation that the extra reservation for the 4 person couchette is 20euro per person (euronight budapest-bucharest). But when I try to book via this website one way, It seems I have to pay 340 euro for the 4 of us. Is this correct or am I doing something wrong or missing something ? How long upfront can I book the train from Bucharest to Istanbul ? Is this 90 days upfront ? Can I book tickets online and if so what is the best website to do this ? Via the eurail website It seems I cannot book.thank you for your help !
Hello everyone!I’m planning to travel from Zurich to Istanbul next July. The trip is expected to last up to three weeks. Does anyone have any recommendations for a route or cities that are a must-visit etc.?
Hello, I'm planning a trip to Ireland for me and my sister, and I had two questions. On the railway map I saw that almost all routes go via Dublin and are not really connected in between, which is difficult if you want to make a ‘circle’ and not visit the same place twice. I was wondering if anyone had experience with the busses in Ireland and if these are any good to travel between cities. Secondly, I was wondering whether some train stations or routes do not appear in the app. For example, I cannot fiend the city ‘Londonderry’ in the app, and it doesn't show any trainroutes to Ballina for example. Thanks in advance! It is the second time I'm planning a trip and my first time in Ireland, so I don't have much experience with these things yet :)
I travelled to Germany and Netherlands in April and have now bought a second pass to go to France in about 10 days. Unfortunately the spent April pass is still live until 8 May and I cannot delete it, nor can I change the pass on my new booking, which means I am unable to book my travel.Has anyone encountered a similar problem?
Description of the issue:I made a mistake with my travel dates. Initially, I selected July 23rd as my start date, but my actual departure date is July 16th.I have already tried to fix it by deactivating my pass following the instructions in the app (using the three dots menu). Then, I set the correct start date to July 16th.In the Rail Planner app, I am now able to plan my trip starting from July 16th without any issues. However, when I try to make seat reservations, the system still only allows me to select July 23rd as my departure date, and it does not recognize the updated date.
Hi community! We are planning to spend a day in Riga and we would love to hear your recommendations! What’s your favourites, hidden gems, must see? We’re dying to hear about them!
Usually I plan a specific Route step by step. Now, on my way back home to Northern Germany, I'd like to take the night-train from Basel SBB to Hamburg and further to my destination (Salzwedel). If I plan with this destination, the system kicks me off the train at 5:30 am in Hannover and leads me on short way to my destination. So far, so bad, because I'd like to stay in the night-train till Hamburg and from there to my final destination Salzwedel. There is a travelday left, but because the train is leaving switzerland the day before, the return trip is used.My solution woud be to plan the trip VIA Hamburg (the route that by german rail app is proposed). But how to get this VIA in the railplanner-app?Any proposals to solve this issue would be fine.
I want to book the EN40237 from Stuttgart to Zagreb on 02.08.26 (20:31). But ÖBB says „Currently not reservable“. Does anyone know why? Strange thing is, i can book it from Augsburg to Zagreb. And one day in front (01.08.26) and one day after (03.08.26) i can book it from stuttgart to zagreb all the way.
I have a 10 day pass. I have booked 3 tickets already and have them saved. I don't seem to have them on the pass yet. Can you enter them in some way ?Thanks all

Can I buy a pass with old passport number and then travel with pass with new passport number?
Hey everyone:) I want to book the eurostar from Brussels to London. In order to make a reservation a passport number is needed. Unfortunately my passport is no longer valid, so I first need to apply for a new one, which takes up to 2 months. How can I still book a reservation for the eurostar? As the reservations are limited I want to book in advance. I do have an ID number, can I use that instead? Any experiences ?Thanks for your help!:) Kind regards!
I have reserved tickets in a renfe station for train 09366(Cordoba to Ronda 10.16am). I cannot see this on the interrail app, but the man said it would be fine with interrail. What I don't understand is, if I cannot save the journey to my trip, how I can show my interrail pass at the gate?
I am planning on cycling the Camino Portuguese from Lisbon to Santiago du Compostela in September. I want to use trains from either Santander or Bilbao to get to Lisbon; however, I want to travel on trains without dismantling my bike. Any suggestions of routes to take with stopovers, if need be, would be gratefully received.
