I am new to this, and want to be absolutely certain that I don`t get this wrong; when I buy a travle pass, I can use this pass to book tickets directly on the traincompanies websites, and with my Interrailpass code I will get redused prices for the reserved seats? 

Hi there!I discover interrail concept recently and I love it! I plan to go to Göteborg (Gothemburg) from Paris, and from there take a flight for Paris at the end of my trip. I’ll probably be solo traveling the entire journey as a girl, between the last week of July and the first of August and I plan to stay at hostels to cut prices.I used the Trip Planner of Interrail and I was thinking about this travel itinerary (but let me know what you think) :Paris → Odense (connections in Köln/Koeln and Hambourg) (I don’t wish to stop too long by those cities nor Brussels because I’ve already been there for few days); Odense → Copenhagen  Copenhagen → Malmö Malmö → GöteborgI don’t absolutely want to visit Götenborg but the flights are cheaper with this departure. We are 2 persons doing the same planned trip. I could add My trip to my Rail planner, but not the other person’s Rail planner. The trip did not come as a alternative in the other person’s Rail planner. The other person is connected to My trip  and travellers. How should we do?

Hi,I am trying to connect a trip to My Pass for Day 2.When doing so, I am exclusively linked to my trip for Day1, which is still shown as active (circle left of the trip name is blue). The planned trip for Day2 does not show up. The trip for Day1 could not be completed as planned, because my train to Strasbourg  was cancelled and I had to go through Paris instead.I presume, that the still active trip for Day1 is the cause of my problem. When I want to delete the trip for Day1 under My Trips, I get the message “cannot be canceled (kann nicht storniert werden)”What can I do? Since my data are “in the system” I may have the same problem, when buying a new Pass.Thank you      

Is there a protection fee available on a global promo pass?

I used to have a ymail account but tried to delete it all after the data breach. I bought a new pass with a new email address and despite deleting app when I reinstall it has all the data that should have been deleted. I log out and log back in with the email address I bought the pass with but it never sends the code I need to add the pass. It’s a dog’s dinner of a mess.

Je dois me rendre au Portugal avec mon chien. Je ne peux pas réserver des billets sur la compagnie utilisée, parce qu’ils me renvoient directement à interrail. Je ne sais pas où réserver mon billet. Je trouve ça légèrement compliqué, parce qu’on nous dit d’appeler, mais une fois qu’on appelle on nous renvoie ailleurs. Et je ne comprends pas non plus pourquoi je ne peux juste pas isoler un billet pour mon animal, surtout qu’elle va être dans une caisse.

I am trying to make seat reservation from Munich to Bologna on the 18th july. Due to construction work between Brenner and Innsbruck,  that is not easy. 1) There is a connection at 08:06 and  08:28 where I can only reserve seats for part of the journey. Is that because you don't need seat reservations for RJ113 and R 3843? And I guess the S3 is a lokal train or replacement bus, where seat reservation is not needed? 2) For the connection at 08:52 through Zürich, it is quite expensive. I am used to the 13 euro reservations with the italian trains, but why does the EC 21 cost 13 euro per seat as well? Any suggestions for my travel to Bologna, where I need to be before 22.00 same night. Best regards Karina

Hello, I want to book a seat on the train going from Paris to Zurich on SNCB International (I’d rather do it on their site rather then on rail planner app in order to be seated next to my friend), but when I put France as my country of residence the website takes off the interrail price and puts the regular price without taking into account the pass while it is my only trip to leave my country of residence . Do you know how I could reserve this seat ? Thank you very much for your help !

There are three trips between Germany, Austria, and the Czech Republic for which I have my tickets shown in yellow on the app.For the trips in France, where a reservation is mandatory, I bought tickets and received them by email. However, in the app it asks me to check the outbound and return boxes for three journeys where I already purchased the mandatory seat reservation.What should I do? If I get checked by a ticket inspector, will it be a problem if those boxes are not checked? Thanks

I’m planning a trip  from my homecountry Germany to Norway. I plan to travel by train  to Kiel and then take the ferry to Oslo. So I won’t be leaving my country by train. Does that count as an outbound journey? If it does, what ís an outbound journey exactly?

I recently received an email from Eurail about a “security incident involving personal data,” and I wanted to check if others got the same message and whether it’s actually legitimate.The email looks quite official (correct branding and sender address), but it starts with a generic “Dear Customer” and mentions a security issue without many details, which made me a bit suspicious.

Hi, I planned to travel from Venice (S. Lucia) to Florence on April 11th, 2026. I bought the Eurail Global Pass, but was unable to select seats for the high speed direct train: I did some research, and apparently there is rail maintenance on 4/11:https://www.reddit.com/r/ItalyTravel/comments/1qdtlff/possible_train_strike_in_april/https://www.reddit.com/r/ItalyTravel/comments/1q8ja7c/is_there_anything_happening_on_11th_april/ If my travel date is already set in stone (booked tickets, hotels, etc...), is my only option to book the slower train where I have to do 2 transfers?At least it’s still covered under the Eurail Global Pass. There’s no way this maintenance date will change, right? I want to travel from Bari to Igoumenitsa by Superfast Ferries then on to Corfu. I understand that First Class Global pass holders are entitled to travel in aircraft type seats and don't have to pay the passenger fare, but you need to add a travel day. (I understand that various surcharges and taxes still apply). If I want to book a cabin for two people, do I gain any benefit from using my Global Pass (bearing in mind I would have to lose a travel day)?

We’re planning a trip from UK by interrail thru Amsterdam - Copenhagen - Stockholm - Narvik - Oslo - Bruges then home. Trying to use the planner and it comes unstuck with the Norway section. The Night train from Stockholm to Narvik, the planner insists that it will take 42 hrs via Boden. It won’t. There’s a direct night train for around 20hrs.  How can I bypass this in the planner?Also there’s no direct train between Narvik and Oslo, so we were thinking of flying to Trondheim then train to Oslo. How can I include a gap like this in the planner?Is it possible to plan more than one trip in the planner at the same time without finalising either?

Does having a Eurail Pass mean I don't need to book tickets on the Avanti West Coast website? Can I just go to the station to reserve a seat and then take the train to my destination?The Eurail website is confusing me; I can't book seats on the Avanti West Coast. But if I buy tickets on the Avanti West Coast website, what's the point of having a Eurail Pass?My plan is to travel from London Euston to Glasgow Central in the morning, and then take the Sleeper train back to London from there.Does anyone teaching me how the process? thank you in advance.
