I’m traveling from Geneva to Bern on May 11, 2026 using my Global Eurail Pass. I would like to take the scenic route on the Golden Pass Express from Montreux to Spiez. Is the Global Eurail Pass still valid on all Golden Pass Express routes during 2026? Are seat reservations required or optional? Is there a chance that the train will be full if I do not reserve a seat? When I query a route from Montreux to Spiez via Zweisimmen, the Panoramic Express portions of the trip all note “Seat recommended.” Presumably this means seat reservations are optional. There is also a note that indicates that “Reservation fees vary based on the route,” but I’m not sure what this means. Any clarification would be appreciated.  

I would like to take a One-Country pass for France but I start my journey from Lausanne and come back to Lausanne (Switzerland). I cannot find out if the one country pass is available from Lausanne. 

how do I activate my pass on the first day of travel? Do I just board the train and what do I have to show that I have the pass? I am entering 2 travelers on the pass, do we each get a pass or is one pass good for both

Hello!I am trying to buy Minicabin reservations from Vienna to Rome on the 01/04 Nightjet on OBB’s website, but I am getting an error:“currently not available: Due to construction work or missing timetable information, it is currently not possible to book a reservation for this train. It is not yet possible to predict when the information will be available. Please check regularly to see whether your connection can already be reserved.”I’ve checked 10 days ago and everything was fine: now, there are no dates available until June or July and I’m wondering which alternative can work, because it doesn’t seem something related to lack of availability.It’s my first interrail and I’m travelling with my 12 yo daughter, I definitely need to be in Rome on the 03/04 morning the latest, because we have our flight from there to Cagliari on that day.I know I’ve waited too much for buying reservations, but we had some issues to solve…Hope you can give us some advice, thank you so much!

Hello,I’m not a newbie to European travel, having used the paper pass ages ago without problem, but now I’m concerned and confused about the digital disconnect between reserving seats and the pass activation and ticket QR code generation on the Rail Planner app. We have flights and hotels and trains picked and planned, I have seat reservations for our group of 4 for trains in Germany, Switzerland, and Italy (Amsterdam to Florence).  All of us have 10-days-in-15 days passes for the trip, and I’ve planned out the big connections so I could reserve seats.  Only the Switzerland to Italy train actually required a reservation.  Here’s where I get confused: if there are limited seats for Eurail pass holders on trains that require reservations, and the pass and reservations are completely disconnected, could a train hypothetically “sell out” and deny us the ability to activate and select that train for boarding with the pass, even though we have reservations for it?  Does that mean I should ac

HelloWe are a British family living in Canada and have a trip planned for April 2026. 2 adults, 1 child and 1 teen, but picking up my other teenager halfway through.We have used interrail passes before and are quite comfortable with most aspects but….I’m not sure if it is worth it for this trip.Land Paris.Train Paris to Maastricht (this is the bit that I am struggling to work out how to book without the pass)Train Maastrict to The Hague (now we will be 5 people), maybe a day trip to Amsterdam in there.Train The Hague to YpresTrain Ypres to Paris to leave So it would be a 4 day pass (or should we make it 5 days and include the daytrip to Amsterdam)? Jetzt bekomme ich eine Mail von Renfe das der Zug 3872 nicht fährt. Hi, I am travelling from Münich to Bologna 18th july. Due to construction work, there are no trains between Innbruck and Brennero, but busses. In the time table it looks like a lokal train though? And I can only reserve seats to Brenner st. And not all the way to Bologna. Any experience with those trains? Can 5 people travel in them in peak season with no seat reservations? And how does the train busses works with seating? Any suggestion for another route going to Bari? /Karina 

I am trying to reserve a seat on ICE147 on 19th April. Eurail has train leaving Amsterdam Central at 12pm but no seat reservation. I have checked DB reservations and they don’t have ICE147 running from amsterdam only Utrecht Central

Using interrail trying to book seats it's all quoted in us dollars instead of euros. Any advice please 

Has anyone come across an issue with the DB app when switching credit card when purchasing a ticket or seat reservation? Every time I try to purchase a seat reservation with a different credit card from the one I usually use, the app does not allow me to complte the payment, even though the app offers you the option to switch cards! Really annoying.

@Camilo.I just learnt that the valid code for getting the Interrail/Eurail discount at Stena Line is EURAIL2023 On the benefit page the old and invalid code is shown. Can you please make sure that the benefit page is updated with the correct code ASAP?

Starting to plan a journey I have put in the wrong destination and cannot delete it - what can I do?  I haven’t purchased tickets but want to start again with my pass
