Hallo, ich wollte einmal nachfragen, ob ich die Sitzplatzreservierungen auch über die einzelnen Bahnseiten machen kann? Zb.: über die Deutsche Bahn Internetseite. Oder muss/kann ich die Reservierungen nur über die Rail App oder Online unter Interrail machen? 

HiFirst Lesson learntInterrail planner says “Reservation Optional” PLS IGNORE THIS.  I have been planning my journey for past 2/3 months - It was just by chance I looked at the country own web site. It was then I found out NO SEATS Available on a train I planned to take, just as well I checked, yet inter rail planner says I am all good to go , and I dont need to make any seat reservation. HELP FROM THE COMMUNITYWith above issues in mind, I re visited all  my plans and rather then believing what the app is telling me , I went onto the country web site.This is where my disbelief just stated.Trying to reserve 2 seats from Basel to Lille The swiss train web site will not give me the options for inter rail pass.The inter rail planner - if I go via them , then it is saying in order to reserve seats - It will cost me sub 100 Euros Surely this cant be correct ?Especially I have purchased 1st Class interrail pass - Surely I cant then be expected to pay additional 100 Euros - Am i being naive  o

Where on the website can I find the My Trip sheets - use to be easy to find

Hello! I have a couple of  questions about how the Pass works. First I wanted to know if the trip has to start and end in the same train station or at least the same country. Related to that I was wondering, if I’m planning on visiting 5 cities (Vienna, Prague, Berlin, Amsterdam and Paris) can Paris be the last “destination”? (I would start my trip from Milan). I hope I made myself clear.Please help me if you can because I'm going crazy planning this trip ahah. Thanks!

Hi all,I’m new to interrailing and trying to learn as much as I can quickly. I am worried about booking tickets for this summer and missing the tickets for Eurostar and night trains.I have purchased a 10 day pass with the aim of going on two trips this summer with my partner and two sons. First trip is from London to Amsterdam, then to Germany, and back to London. The second trip is then to Croatia - I’m still trying to work out a route for this. Today, I noted that I cannot use the pass for my second trip in and out of the UK. So I guess I need to purchase Eurostar separately for this return trip. My concern is that if I do the first trip and return back to London my pass will no longer be valid. Is it ok to do this?Also I am looking at booking the night train from Zagreb to Stuttgart and the website says the train might be subject to change. Is this a concern? I am not sure if this just means a timetable change or a cancellation. We do need to return from Croatia as quickly as possib

I allready bought a pass on the interrail website.euI have a iPhone and a laptop with windows 11, I used the browser Firefox.I activated my pass at the mobile Rail Planer App and conect it with a spesific trip. The same pass is connected to another trip on the interrail website in my account. The Trip from the App isn’t shown on the interrail website and the Trip on the website isn’t shown in the App. I can change the trips in the app as I want but in my accout there changes nothing. So the sincronization between the online website and the app obviosly doesn´t work, even it´s the same pass and the same account. How can I fix this?

Hi - any advice please on how to approach reservations for July for journey 3 passholders and 1 non passholder Lake Bled to Budapest.  And then Budapest to Prague a few days later.  We would all like to sit/travel together.  First time interrailing - I think I can deal with the 3 passholder bookings but not sure how to navigate with this additional non pass.  Any steer/advice much appreciated.

Hi Thanks to this community wife/I have now managed to put our plan together. We are travelling for the 1st time on this type of holiday.Help/suggestion.We have have Lebara network provider SIM phone ( UK based). This provides us with the ability to roam within EU - at no extra cost.Though just returned from Prague and it did not work there - The google map was just not picking up the data. We plan to travel to following countries - noting 1 of them is not part nof EU.Norway Sweden Denmark Germany Austria Switzerland FranceAny suggestion as to how best to make sure our google maps works, so we are able to find our way in that given country/location and we are able to acess our passes/tickets etc on our phone.is Esim the way to go - or is there a SIM only provider that gurantees good signal across all the countires.Or would we need to see how we get on each country and then buy either Esim/local sim in that given country.I am from a generation where we had everythig printed and had pape

Hola, tengo dos pases globales de 7 días en un mes para empezar a usar en septiembre, el día 1 ya tengo los billetes, y cuando quiero agregar viajes para el dia 2, guardo viaje en la carpeta creada y me pone que no está asociado a ningún viaje, claro me deja hacerlo pero desvinculando el viaje del día 1, y no entiendo como puedo "comprar" todos los viajes de los 7 días para que queden vinculados cada uno en el pase de las dos personas que somos.Tengo que vincular cada viaje después de haber terminado cada trayecto? 

Q: Can I use my Interrail 2nd class Global Pass to book a deluxe single sleeper cabin on CD? I’d like to use my 2nd class pass to reserve a single deluxe cabin on two routes (Budapest-Krakow & Warsaw-Prague). CD has an easy process, and for both it does assign a single deluxe, *but* going through the ‘Document terms and conditions’, it says:“Compartments in sleeper carriages are divided into so-called “Economy”, where a 2nd class ticket is required for all types of compartments (Triple, Double, Single and possibly connected Family compartments), and so-called “Deluxe”, where a 1st class ticket is required for all types of compartments. For use of a berth of the category Single (a compartment with one bed), it is necessary to present a travel document issued for 1st class travel.”CD giving me the option to book a deluxe single with specified 2nd class IR seems to contradict the Ts&Cs. Is it possible / common to be able to get a standby ticket on Eurostar train (Brussels to London) the night before my current train ticket? 

hi, i’m travelling from the UK to Europe using a global pass. can i make multiple journeys in my home country using the pass? the website is ambiguous - it says i can only make two journeys - one in, one out - but i can have ‘multiple train transfers’. Does this mean i can travel from any location to London then get the eurostar as long as it is on the same travel day?And the same on return i assume?

I’m forever grateful for all the help I’ve gotten from you users today, and since you know so much, I wanted to ask you a few more questions. These are regarding the seat reservations as well. You told me that it is not possible to buy seat reservations fore some regional trains, are these included?: Chur - zeurich Hb (19.11-20.48 11 July 2025), berlin Hbf - Magdeburg Hbg (0.44-02.37 13 July 2025) (I have been told that this is a regional train), Magdeburg Hbf - Uelzen (04.47-06.41 13 July 2025), Uelzen - Hamburg Hbf (07.04 - 08.03 13 July 2025), Fredericia - Slagelse (12.15 - 14.10 13 July 2025) Also please tell me if you think it’s stupid that we sometimes only have 20 minutes in between arrival and departure. We struggled to find other alternatives that would cost us many more hours.

Thanks to this community for your advice and help. I need to buy two adult one-way train tickets from London (any station) to Edinburgh for the morning of July 7, 2025. I already bought two Interrail Global Passes, good for any 4 days within a month. I would like to use those passes for this train ticket, but so far I cannot see how to do that. I live in Switzerland and have residency there but hold a US passport. I’ve tried doing this with VPN set to Great Britain and and also without, neither seems to make a difference. Here’s also what I’ve tried:Interrail.eu : when I try to book on this site, while logged into my account, and I’ve added my passes to my account, I can see many trains throughout the day, but I get a red popup that says seat reservations are required for this train travel, but that I can’t make seat reservations from this site. Hello! I am planning a trip for this summer. I already bought the pass from eurail but now i want to add journeys and make the seat reservations for one of them, but i am so confused. I’m scared to activate my pass before I’m supposed to and don’t really know how I can reserve seats without having my pass activated. Plus, if I want to start traveling in august am I supposed to activate my pass now?

Some seat reservations can’t be made in the interrail app. They refer me to int.bahn.de but there it’s not possible to connect the interrail-pass to the reservations so we would’nt get any discounts. I am super stressed and feel like this needs to be done before all the tickets are sold out. HOW DO I CONNECT MY PASS TO INT.BAHN.DE. Please help!!

hi team just another question regarding seat bookings. we are doing the long journey from Rome to Paris, - and we want to go through southern France instead of Switzerland. I know the train is leaving at 8:20am from Rome - on the 12th May but i wanted to ask, as it stops in Milan and we have to change train stations from Centrale to garibaldi in a half hour gap between the trains it said that the TGV inoui is departing from Garibaldi station in Milan. Just looking at worse case scenarios if. we miss our train how can we find if more trains are coming? and is there a chance we can keep our seats on the next train if we do. and can we book family booths through rail plus? ive heard they have some is there any recommendations on the best way to get to garibaldi, although its close walking alone ins 20 minutes, can anyone recommend the quickest way to get to garibaldi station from Centrale which gives us some time to find the platform?your assistance is greatly appreciated!

I have a small question that I have not been able to find a clear answer in the community. I'm interested in taking a 5-day global pass and I've read that trips inside/outside the country of origin don't subtract days from the package.To leave my country (Spain), I am most interested in travelling from Madrid to Barcelona and from there abroad (in my case, Lyon). Is this possible within the ‘day of departure’ allowed by the pass or can I only make one trip (example: Madrid to Lyon) to leave?Incidentally, this consultation is equally valid for the return to my country.I hope you can help me in the community. If I’m travelling from Amsterdam Centraal to Delft and need to change trains or platforms at Sloterdijk, with my paper Global Pass, do I write Sloterdijk or Delft as my destination. I won’t be leaving the station, just changing either platforms or trains.

Hi teamwe are coming to Europe in May and I had a few more questions.We are travelling in May but the global pass train from Rome to Paris with only one connection change in Milan has limited seats. How can I secure the seats in that line before without having to activate the pass? ( if we activate the pass now then we have 1 month to use it but we are coming next month) Are there police in the train stations and at what times we are worried about pick pockets in some of our destinations travelling with kidsyour assistance is greatly appreciated! wazma
