Looking to travel to Europe in June. Possibly starting in Spain, through south france and ending in northern Italy. Trying to focus my trip on eurail routes, how do I ensure I am choosing the most efficient routes (ie. direct trains) with limited stops?
Hello, I’m buying an Interrail Global pass of 2 months in a row and I have two questions for my next trip. I’m Italian and I must return to Italy after the start of my journey for 1-2 day/s. I’m thinking to buy a separate ticket from Trenitalia to travel from Italy to Switzerland and use the remain days of global pass to travel. -Firstly, is my interrail still valid ( obviously outside my home country ) after I have used outbound/inbound days? and the second question is: -Can I use outbound/inbound days for two outbound ? For this second chance I could buy the separate ticket from Switzerland to Italy and I can use the second outbound to go in Switzerland again. For the return I’ll buy another ticket from Trenitalia.

I'm Sidonie, 18 annnnd my request is a bit specific.I'll be doing an internship in June in Greece and I want to go back home (France) by exploring Europe (so smth like greece, bulgaria, romania, slovakia, austria, czechia etc..) ! I'm really motivated and eager to meet someone that match my vibe ! I already have an interail plan (like 10-13 days) but I'm flexible and open to suggestions ofc, just know that I'll begin my travel in Greece, and wish not to travel alone :( A bit about me : watercolors painter, I like hiking, doing sports (martial arts and dance), reading, watching anime, gaming, learning a bunch of things, playing some music...
Hey everyone! I'm planning my Interrail journey starting from Milan around July 20. My goal is to visit seven cities before flying back to Milan. So far, my plan includes Milan → Ljubljana → Prague → Krakow, but I still need to pick three more destinations. One idea I have is to continue with Vilnius → Tallinn → Helsinki, but I’m not sure if that’s the best choice. I’m looking for cities that are affordable, have great nightlife for young travelers, and offer a fun atmosphere.Do you have any recommendations for exciting and budget-friendly destinations? I'd love to hear your suggestions!
Hi,I am ready to book my first set of reservations for my sister and myself.I want to book us on a train from Paris to Lucerne in August. I did a search that said we should use Gare de Lyon in Paris.I went to buy the reservations but they only list Basel and they don’t mention Lucerne.Do the reservations just say the name of the first city and not the name of the second train when you change trains? Please help. I don’t want to buy these if I’m doing it wrong and find out my reservation doesn’t work for the second train.Should I book each leg of the trip separately? And, is okay to book all my reservations through the Eurail website here where I bought our Euraill passes. Here is the itinerary I am reserving. Is the leg from Basil to Lucerne no reservation because none is needed? 12:22Paris Gare De Lyon (France)3h 4mTGV 9213TGV Duplex LyriaOperated bySNCF VoyagesDirectionZuerich Hb (Switzerland) Seat reservations requiredYou need to buy a seat reservation to board.1st class seatfromUSD
It's my first time in Europe. My family of 4 is traveling from Salzburg to Roma on April 13. The train leaves Salzburg at 8:56 goes to Woergl Hbf (seat recommended) from Woergl Hbf to Bologna Central (seat recommded), Bologna Central 16:37 to Roma Termini 18:40 (seat reservations required) and finally Roma Ostiense to Roma S. Pietro. Seeing this I bought the seat reservations from Bologna Central to Roma Termini. Does this mean that I automatically will be able to get on the other trains or is it possible we won't be allowed on the other trains if we don't have seat reservations. For example, I tried to get a seat reservation from Woergl Hbf to Roma Termini but I was unable to because it looked like the train was full. Does this mean that I won't be able to do that leg of the journey and if so do I have to find a different way to get to Bologna Central by 16:37
Hello, I’m scheduling a trip by train with my kids from Madrid to Milan with different stops (Valencia, Barcelona, Girona, Montpellier, Frejus, Sanremo, and Milan). We should leave Madrid on the 20th of April and be back in Milan on the 2nd May. I have to arrive in Frejus on the 27th April to attend a wedding the day after. I would like to know if someone did a similar trip, or if you have any recommendations counsciuos of the fact that we won’t spend too much time in each city (Barcelona apart). Thanks,Cecilia
Hi, my husband and I will be flying in to Prague and spending a few days there before heading to Vienna. After spending a few days in Vienna, we would want to go to Salzburg, Hallstatt and a few other places of interest in Austria. All by train. The business class train ticket from Prague to Vienna is EUR 153.60 per person. I have not checked the train fares from Vienna to Salzburg and onward to Hallstatt and eventually, back to Vienna to fly home. Here are my questions:-(1) If I were to buy the 1st class Eurail pass for both my husband and I, do I still need to go to OBB website to book seats from Prague to Vienna? I am planning to book the business class seats in Railjet train(2) What pass can I use within Prague and within Vienna? I understand that the Eurail pass is not the same as the Swiss Travel Pass; whereby, the latter can be used on all modes of transport within the country and within every canton(3) Can the Eurail pass be used to travel by train from Vienna to Bratislava to Pa
Hi. Trying to get my head around this pass.I have booked separate seat reservations on both the Eurostar & Interlaken > Lucerne Express for particular dates in August.I have added these journeys on the Eurail Planner app. Will I need to activate my pass now to save the train bookings for these dates? If I wait to activate, is there a possibility the trains will book out, making my seat reservations useless?
If on my trip with ICE from Amsterdam to Luzern , we miss the connection in Olten to Luzern, can we use the next train without any ussues?
My husband and I are going to travel together, but keep our own pass on our own mobile (so that we still have a mobile as backup should we lose a mobile, and can get the lost pass reactivated on the remaining mobile with some customer services help). My question is how I connect a trip to passes that sit on separate mobiles. All the instructions seem to be about connecting trips to passes that sit on the same mobile. I have already booked any necessary rain reservations for us jointly, so that is not a problem. I hope someone can help.
Hey! Couple of asks here if anyone could help me please? How easy is it to get to platform 2? I've been looking at the map for Midi train station and I think it's on the ground floor so there's no need to worry about coming down escalators?I'm not great with coming down on an escalator. Is it straight forward to get from Ghent to Bruges and is it better to get single tickets for each way?
I can easily find trains on Eurail website to give me trains to get me from A to B. But that train, if not direct, will make stops. How can I find out what those stops are and at what times? I can’t see to do that on the Eurail site. Thanks.
Sorry for asking again.I want to book an overnight train, in this case a bunk bed, for two adults, one child who has a pass, but another who doesn't because he's 3 years old. How do I reserve a bunk bed for the 3-year-old? Or is he supposed to sleep in an adult's bunk and not have to reserve anything?I can't find a customer service contact, and the automated chat doesn't resolve this. Thanks!

Is it possible to take trains that are not registered at the Railwaymap, like regional trains, with the Interrail pass? Thanks for help
My husband and I want to travel to Italy with our baby. We saw the Global Pass for 4 travel days within 6 months. But we actually just need 2 travel days (from Germany to Italy, and a week later from Italy back to Germany). Can we use the remaining 2 days for a second trip to Italy if we stay within the 6 months? Like do the same trip again a few months later? Thank you!
We are trying to reserve tickets but keep get an error message error one leg is not available or when when we try to check it will not allow us to make a payment when we have entered all our payment details
We are a family of four from Germany, and this summer we will embark on our first-ever Interrail trip. Together with our seven- and eight-year-old children, we will travel from near Bremen via the usual route through Copenhagen and Malmö to Stockholm, then continue to Östersund, and from there to a small station located along the Inlandsbanan. To all those who have traveled with children: is it better to travel during the day with an overnight stop, or should we dare to take on the adventure of a night train journey? I’m looking forward to your feedback.
I am travelling from Avignon to Annecy with an Interrail global pass. Do I need to book seat reservations and if so how? Thank you for any adviceJan
Hi Team,We are a group of 5 people and planning to travel to switzerland from Netherlands on 2 April 2025 Evening.Further, we have to come back to Netherlands on 6 April 2025.Below are the journeys that I found suitable for us: I have the following questions:I have residence card of netherlands (I am not the citizen) so I can purchase Interrail pass of Switzerland instead of Global pass? If I am eligible for purchasing Interrails pass then how much days should I purchase or If global then how many days should I purchase?Furthermore, please tell me how to best plan my journey such:When to purchase ticket via rail planner application When generating tickets, should I break my journey? or book the ticket for ultimate destination? Considering the fact that I read this on the link:https://www.interrail.eu/en/interrail-passes/what-is-interrail/travel-your-own-country
