HelloI can see the following train journey on the Rail Europe website:TGV #987009:01 Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport TGV Sat 14 Sep 11:05 to StrasbourgTGV INOUI #989812:31 Strasbourg 14:04 Bettembourg Autocar #6841314:19 Bettembourg 14:48 LuxembourgYet it isn’t shown on the Eurail PlannerI haven’t bought my Eurail pass yet as trip isn’t planned to start until mid September 2024I believe that INOUI journeys don’t ‘qualify’ for the Eurail Pass? How can I reserve this train journey? All advice appreciatedThanks
Can I travel with and without a kids with my train 2 months train pass (which already fill to travel with 2 kids)
Hello. We will take the 1st class Glazier Express to Zermatt from Chur. We realise that there is a menu on board - is taking your own wine and food frowned upon or accepted? Thank you.
I'm looking to book a trip from Paris through to Switzerland in late July. It looks like the most direct option with the least changes is Paris to Lausanne. However, when I go to book via the Eurail site it says that there are no seats available. No Eurail options are available for this timeframe on Rail Europe either.I've looked through other options on the day, and no TGV options are bookable while one INOUI option is. The same seems to be the case for the surrounding days. If I try and book earlier in the year, options are available for most tickets up until the end of June. Is there an earliest possible booking timeframe that I should be aware of? Looking online, some sources say up to two months in advance and that reservations are not limited for TGV Lyria, while others say three. Thanks in advance for your help!
Hi there,My partner and I are planning to train from Milan to Grindelwald on Wednesday 31st July.I see we need to take a bus from Milano Centrale to Domodossola and it’s saying “seat reservations required” however it isn’t showing an option to purchase a seat. Does anyone know what we need to do for this? I have attached a screenshot of this below:Then we will take the train from Domodossola to Spiez, Spiez to Interlaken OST and Interlaken OST to Grindelwald. It says “You’re ready to board” for these segments, so we are unable to book a seat reservation for these. I’m worried that not confirming a seat reservation could mean we aren’t guaranteed a seat on these trains. Do we need to do anything else for these trains to help ensure we can catch them? Thanks for your help.Katelyn
Hi,We are a family of 6 - (2 adults, 2 teenagers, a 3 years old and 8 years old). We are planning to visit the following countries:Bulgaria (Sofia), Italy (Milan), Spain (Barcelona), Netherlands (Amsterdam), Belgium (Brussels), UK (London). We are thinking of buying the 4/5 days Global Pass and would consider flying to 1 or 2 of these destinations. My question is, what would be the easiest route with the least number of train changes. Thank you.
I know in France, Italy, and Spain you pay 8-13 eu to make a reservation on a high speed train with a Eurail pass. But the last time I used Eurostar some years ago, it seemed like I was paying half or 2/3 of full fare even with the pass. I want to travel from London to Brussels. I also know that the fares differ at different times of day. Can someone tell me how it works please? Thanks.
Hi, I’m planning to travel from Zurich to Milan. I will arrive to the station at 17:58 and the next train available to Milan leaves at 18:33. 30 minutes are enough to get to that train or do I need more time? Thanks in advance!
It is my first time using eurail. I will be traveling with my wife and three children: 2, 4, and 6 years old.I will be traveling from Paris to Biarritz. I want to take the fast train that takes about four hours. Can somebody tell me how much the additional charge will be to book this trip when I make the reservation? Also, what happens if I miss my train for some reason. Can I use the ticket for the same trip the following day or something like that? Thanks so much!
Hi there. What service would people recommend for left luggage at Paris Gare du Nord. On Sunday 2nd June we’ll have 3-4 hours before our Eurostar departure so it would be nice to have some lunch in Paris and be bag free, especially if it’s hot! Many thanks.
Hi, allI can’t take my today’s train from Bruxelles Midi to Paris CDG due to some personal circumstances. I’m in Belgium right now, I tried to cancel/refund by phone call but the instructions are unclear. I hold 2nd class pass and I paid for it to be refundable. Replies and advices are appreciated.
Hi everyone, My girlfriend and I (both 18 years old) just got back from a 3-month Interrail trip, in which we visited 13 countries. Our first and favourite, was Switzerland. Hey guys! I’m 19 and I’m going to be travelling from the 11th to the 30th of June, probably with a friend. I’m looking for people that are going to be travelling in the same period and people from these cities to show me around. (Plus if anyone has a free couch it’s appreciated because I’m travelling on a budget!)These are the cities I’m going to visit:-Freiburg in Breisgau 11-15 June-Amsterdam 15-17 June-Berlin 17-20 June-Prague 20-23 June-Budapest 23-27 June-Vienna 27-30 June(maybe Paris too)
? Merci de votre aide
I would like to know how many times I can travel to/from Italy on a one-country pass for Germany.I am a citizen/resident of Italy. I see that OBB/DB trains to/from Venice, Verona etc are included in the pass. Does it work as for the global pass, so that I only have one inbound and one outbound trip available, or can I travel between Italy and Germany as many times as I like?To make the question clearer, I need to travel to Germany and back to Italy twice in two weeks. I would then buy a 4-day one-country Germany pass. Can I simply use the pass for both trips? Or do I need to buy regular tickets from home to the German border (Kufstein I would guess) for one of the trips? Also, is there a reservation fee on the trains from Italy to Munich, as with the global pass? All this is not really explained in the dedicated one-country pass page.Thank you for your advice.
Hi, I have made reservations on NJ 403 which is running from Amsterdam Central to Basel SBB. I have got 2 berths both of which topmost ones- one each side, in a 6-berth-couchette. I used https://www.vagonweb.cz/razeni/vlak.php?zeme=SBB&kategorie=NJ&cislo=403&nazev=&rok=2024 for checking berth position. How can i change the berth numbers to lower or at least middles?TIA
Merci beaucoup !
I want to visit a lot of countries, but I don’t know where better xD, please tell me if there are routes where the FERRY with Interrail is free or for almost a penny

My itinerary is as follows.August 26th - London to Paris - How to reserve seats together for both of us?August 28th - Paris to Geneva and then to Zermatt, Switzerland How to reserve seats for Paris to Geneva together for both of us? Hi,I am travelling to Italy, Switzerland & France. During this time I will be using trains and buses to travel from one place to another. My question here is if EURAIL pass covers the following train journeys completely or just provides some discount.“Venice-Como-Zurich-Rhine Falls- Lucerne- Interlaken-Paris. I will also be travelling to Mt. Titlis, Grindelwald, Lauterbrannen and Lake Brienz.”Additionally, Once I purchase the EURAIL pass can I directly hop on any train or do I have to make reservations first? If I need to make reservations then is there a particular website from where I do that or it can be any third party website like Omio, Trainline etc.? I understand that this question might have been asked multiple times but I am confused on this topic.
Hello all, Advice from experienced interrailers needed! We are travelling around a few countries in Europe for a few weeks in the summer and currently have booked the Paris-Salzburg sleeper, arriving in Salzburg 7th August. The next thing we have booked is a week in Tuscany from the 15th August. My question is how best to spend that week in between? I had thought to do Ljubljana-Pula, then Pula-Venice by ferry, then Venice-Siena, but I’m not sure if that’s a bit complicated and we’ll end up with not much time in each place? I would like to visit Slovenia and Croatia if possible but am aware it would only be a flying visit if I squeeze it into this week, plus there’s the additional cost of the ferry to think about. Could anyone either reassure me that the above plan is ok, or suggest an alternative which wouldn’t be too stressful but stops at a couple of nice places? Thanks very much - appreciate your time :-)
on August 1st I wanted to take the train from Bern to Basel number ic 984 at 8.04pm and Basel Berlin number ic 604009 at 9.13pm but I now notice that at the exact same time a NJ 409 NIGHTJET also leaves, how is this possible??

Hi, I'm having great difficulty booking seats on two French trains on August 7th. the site tells me they are sold out but apparently all the dates between now and October are sold out which seems very strange to me. in addition, the normal ticket can be purchased without problems from the snfc website. on the website https://www.raileurope.com/ it says that I can't buy the ticket with my pass, I don't understand why. For me it is essential to arrive in Barcelona on that day otherwise I will miss the whole trip, thank you very much in advance😭
