Hello Community,I will be traveling to Switzerland this March for 5 days enroute to London. My aged mother will be accompanying me and so I want to plan and understand things well. I am looking to go to some picturesque place in Nature, away from the city, to spend 3-4 days in the Swiss countryside.Q : What place would you recommend which fits the above criteria?For now I am thinking of - Day 1 - Arrival at ZurichDay 1 - Travel from Zurich to GrindelwaldDay 2 - Grindelwald exploring Day 3 - Travel to Interlaken Day 4 - GrindelwaldDay 5 - Travel to Zurich and departure to LondonThe above includes train travel to Grindelwald and back to Zurich, and also local travel between Interlaken and boat rides. Q: Given the above, should I buy individual tickets for everything?Would it be better option to opt for Swiss Pass (3 days flexi)Would a Eurail global pass be a better option; and will it permit me to travel from Zurich to London by train?Any advice on the above will be gratefully received.G

Are we restricted to these tracks, or is it possible for us to travel by train to different cities on lines that are not connected to the yellow line?The yellow line is a specific train line that runs between capital cities. However, there are many other train lines that run throughout Europe, and you can travel to many different cities on these lines.

Hello, I made a purchase of my tickets and reservation in DB . I received an email indicating that there was a change in the schedule of my trains, the change is only 20 minutes earlier, the train numbers remain the same, but they tell me to check if my tickets are still valid. I have tried to contact the company and they do not respond, could someone help me and clarify if they are valid or not and if I just have to present my same printed ticket that I bought and I will not have a problem? 

Hi!I am looking for travel buddy to explore Europe between May and September 2024 with 7-day pass (Saxorail winner, if you know what that means). I am 25F living in Germany. I like to explore historical architecture and museums. It would be nice to visit several countries together with someone to share experience and travel costs.I would really like to visit Italy and France, but I am flexible. 

Good day,  I am visiting France and Swiss,  Going to Mont Blanc, Jungfrau, Mt Pilatus Which cable/tram rides have discounted rates with the Eurail pass, will be taking the multicity pass for 4 days.

I plan on visiting London, Paris and Barcelona with my family (10 yr old, 6 yr old) and was thinking I would fly to Paris return and then take a return Chunnel to London and an overnight sleeper train from Paris to Barcelona and back. Can anyone suggest if there is a better approach - e.g. using low cost airlines? How do I go about pre-booking a sleeper for my family in advance … and which train - e.g. Eurostar? I have been looking on Rail Europe for trains - and the information is different on this website than on the interrail app. Train from Bruxelles-midi to Koeln Hbf 24th July 2024 16.23 arr 18.15. I am struggling to get a Eurostar seat booking for this. So trains without seat bookings:On the interrail it states you go to Liege-Guillemins with ICE 317 first, and then to AachenHbf and then Koeln Hbfon Rail Europe ICE 317 is a direct train to Koeln Hbf and I do not need a seat reservation.Do you know which is correct??? Very different trains?

Hi all,I wondered if anyone has any information on the construction work that is scheduled to take place in Italy between Villach Hbf and Carnia and which is impacting the Nightjet service (NJ237) from Munich to Venice in July. I’m looking to take this train on Weds 17th July - currently the train is not available for reservation however the previous week can be reserved and shows a message that a “rail replacement bus service” will be in operation (not exactly ideal for a sleeper train...):This message is currently showing for the trains departing on the 10th and 11th July, train from the 12th onwards are not open for reservation and haven’t been for the past 2 weeks.Does anyone know how long this work is expected to last? I contacted OBB through their website about this and have not had a response.cheers,Nick

I will be coming to Europe in June 2024.  I’m with a group of friends until June 29th.  Then, I am on my own for 3 weeks.  I would like to get a Eurail pass, but I’m confused.  Eurail trains do not take me where I want to go, but other trains do.  Will a Eurail Pass get me on these other trains as well?  Or is there another option for me - to get on all the different trains throughout Europe for 3 weeks? 

My wife and I  have Interrail Global Passes valid for June 2024.  We want to book sleeper or couchette berths on this train but are informed (online) bookings are unobtainable.  At the same time, we learn that this train is very and likely to sell out very quickly. Elsewhere the Booking Horizon is given as 180 days in advance !  How can we secure these reservations?

I am booking a train from Paris to Lyon for June 4th, 2024 and the app and site are telling me that the train is not in network. I don’t understand since I purchased the Eurorail Global Pass.  Does anyone know why km getting this message?

Hello everyone quick question. Some of the routes I will be taking involved public transport (bus) from one train station to the other. My question is, if the public transport gets delayed will the next train line will allow you to board the next train? And will this involve a fee? 

Hi All,My family and I planning for a round trip to Europe Jul-Aug 2024 from Australia. I have been advised to get eurail global pass.when I am searching in eurail website for the Jul-Aug 2024 to plan our trip from one point to another, no schedule showing up in Jul or Aug.Why is that so?and one more question is if the Global pass is independent of the travel dates and can be purchased anytime? Hello guys,so I requested a refund for my pass last week and the interrail page said it would be checked if my pass is eligible for refund (which it definitely is). I know that it takes time until these things get checked and verified but I find it strange that I can’t see any indication of my refund request anywhere in my account. Is that normal? Anyone has any experience with how the refund works and how long it takes? 

Hi friendI have visiting Europe in March. I will be visiting Switzerland (5nights) , Italy (6 nights), France (4 nights) and Netherlands (1 nights). I have purchased EURAIL global pass for 15 days for self, wife and kid (11years). I want to know, is this pass valid for all these countries. I mean say, I will be traveling between Zurich to Bern & also Florence, Italy to Rome, Italy and Venice. Finally to Paris and Amsterdam. Want to know will be my pass valid for all travels? Understand I need to purchase Seat Reservation extra. But will my main travel be covered under one pass. will my pass be valid for all countries. Your comments/ suggestion/ guidance will help me.RegardsAjay 

I am facing a very very bad experience with Interrail customer service. I couldn't pay for my seat reservations, every time the page said "bad request". After the 4th time, I finally succeeded. Now I can see on my bank account that the payment was made 4 times! I've explained the situation to interrail, but they say it's all my fault and that you have to wait 30 minutes to validate the payment. Even though a page indicated a bug. How can I get my money back (€48)? Thank you for your help!

Hello all,We are currently traveling from the Netherlands to Prague, arriving this evening (23rd) but with the German train strikes for all International trains on the 24th-29th we are unsure on how to get back. I am unsure which day we will be able to make it back but it is possible that it would take two days. How would compensation for this work? Would we need to travel as far as Germany from Prague and then hope for a hotel or would accomodation be paid for in Prague given it would be impossible to get home? Also with getting an extra day pass on the interrail ticket how does that work? If we went the route of avoiding Germany, how should we pay for any extra reservations needed? A lot of questions I know but any help with this is much appreciated!Thanks

I was left stranded in Hamburg on the 9th January when my train to Copenhagen was cancelled and the train strike commenced the following day. I ended up getting a flight from Hamburg to Copenhagen which will be covered by travel insurance but I need to provide evidence that there was a train strike on that day. Is there an official notice I can download of the strike on that day that I can provide as proof there was a strike?

I am trying to book this train for the 10th August Brussels midi 10:56, but is not showing on the Eurail planner, but is on the b-europe site. Does this mean it is not available to pass holders by Eurail, but is it ok to book on b-europe?
