Hi I want to go interrailing next summer with my 14 year old son for roughly 2 weeks we have no interest in museums and stuff like that but just want an adventure with fun things to do and lovely scenery to see along the way,  we are outgoing and like watersports and some mountain climbing anything exciting really. Im lost really as to what route to take , I've been to the likes of Amsterdam paris Munich most of Spain and Portugal so I've no interest in those places. The Slovenia croatia one caught my eye but I can't seem to find an itinerary of how many nights to stay where etc . Any help or advice greatly appreciated.  Thanks Dave 

We’re after a little further help planning our first, and likely last, trip to Europe in April/May, 48 days, flying into Rome and out of London. Because we’re in our mid 60’s, we need fewer stops, longer stays. We’ve purchased a 15-travel-day Eurail pass and already had some incredibly valuable advice from this web site, and we’re just trying to make sure our plan is sensible & we’re not missing something “unmissable”.We love the old architecture of Europe, mountains, lakes, scenery and wildlife, not so much the beach scene. The places on our “must see” list are as follows, listed in the order we are thinking about traveling:Tuscany,Lake Como.The Swiss alps – recommended was the Bernina & Albula railways between Tirano and Chur.Venice.Pordenone – I have family there so it’s 5 nights takenVienna.Zurich.The road from Dijon to the outskirts of Paris, which we hope to drive.   I can make all the above work, but it’s a messy zig zag Como to Chur to Tirano to Venice, and I am not sur

hi, my girlfriend and I would like to go to Berlin and Stuttgart next week starting from Bologna.I saw on the site that by purchasing the one country pass for Germany (which we are interested in to travel around this country only) the route from Bologna to Berlin and return is included even though it starts from a second country, can anyone confirm?

I’m new to this so please forgive my lack of knowledge here. I’ll be traveling with two adults and four children from Paris to Barcelona in July. Would it be better to get a day or night train? Any idea when/where is the best time/place to book? Appreciate the help.

I am travelling to Europe for the first time, flying into Rome and home from London. I am considering a Eurail, first class, 10 day travel pass, valid for 2 months. The hope is to see Florence, Cinque Terre, Milan (also Lake Como) , Venice, Fiume Veneto (near Pordenone), Vienna, Prague, Munich, Zurich, Lyon, Paris and London.I started using the Eurail travel planner and found that it can’t find many of the places I want to go. I know that some of the lesser towns (e.g. Lake Como) will probably mean a separate bus trip or hire car. However I need to know where the main train lines run so I can make sure I can get to places I need to get to, or how close I can get them, especially Fiume Veneto where I have family. I thought Eurail was linked to all train lines in Europe, but I am worried that it may not be ideal for my needs.Also, I am unsure if I am better off booking every accommodation and every train trip before I leave home, or is it easy enough to book train travel and accommodatio

Hi - I would like to know the refund for the on-going promo. I’m planning to purchase the promo ticket (with insurance - 100% refundable) since I don’t have my Visa yet.  But there’s a note that you can refund as long as its 6 months before the last activation date (Jun 1, 2024). But the 6 months is in Dec 2023. Does it mean it’s not 100% refundable?  Thanks in advance! 

Hi together!We, 4 persons (family, two adults, two children age 15), want to book a reservation for SJ nighttrain. Is it somewhere visible at INTERRAIL booking service (not SJ) that our places are together in one compartment?As far as I know, there are 2 and 3-bed 2nd class sleepers (not couchettes). So, I assume, that we will get 2x 2-bed sleeper compartments when booking. Or could it be, that there is booked 1x 3-bed and another person into another sleeping compartment by the INTERRAIL booking system?Other possibility, the couchettes. There are 4 and 6-bed couchettes. At INTERRAIL there is again the possibility to book the option for couchette. But it is not clear, if it is a private 4-bed compartment (so no one other could be with us) or an 6-.bed compartment, where maybe two other persons could be in the compartment. How can I achieve such a 4-bed compartment via INTERRAIL or is it not possible?Thank you for your help!Bye, StephanI

Dear All -- This summer, our family of 4 travelled from Frankfurt am Main (Hbf) (Germany) to Bordeaux St Jean (France) via Paris Montparnasse in June/July 2023 without problems. So, I am about to buy a Eurail Global Pass for us again for the 2024 summer … but looking at our travel dates (i.e., Sunday, June 09, 2024) under seat reservations, the website reports that the pass is not valid for the leg between Paris → Bordeaux (i.e., “Pass not valid. Choose a different journey within the Pass network or buy a separate ticket for this journey.). I have just bought interrail tickets for May 2024 two adults two kids. I want to activate passes asap in order to reserve Eurostar seats, however my children don't have passports yet (obviously they will when we travel). Is there a way to activate/reserve seats before they have passports? Worried they will all be gone by the time we receive passports!

Trying to book a train or bus from Montmelian to albertville on 7 Dec, but nothing is available?The same form Albertville to Bourg St Maurice station on 8 Dec.Is there something happening on these lines? Surely there must be an alternative?

Ich muss dazu allerdings eine, in dem Fall meine Emailadresse angeben, ich nehme, sie dient für die laufenden und aktuellen Infos für den Reisenden auch während der Reise. Jedoch muss die Emailadresse nach dem Kauf geändert werden. Geht das? Denn dann kann ich das Ticket quasi als Überraschung besorgen. Bitte um Auskunft, da der Bot eigentlich keine differenzierten Antworten hervorbringt, auch wenn die Frage umformuliert wird. LG

Hi, I tried to byu a ticket for 2 adulsts and 1 child , 6 yo, from Kolding to Ostrow Wklp in Pl and retur.I tried with dsb.dk they don`t sell tickets to Poland. Then I tried with to buy with pkp.pl and they don`t sell tickets to Dk. Then I tried with db.de and they only sell to Franfurt an Oder, altso the border with Pl. I even called 2 private companies selling tickets in Pl and they could not find anything.I am sure that there train from Kolding to Hamburg, then to Berlin then to Poznan then Ostrow Wlkp.But how to byu such a ticket, anyone could help?

I have added more than one journey to my Trip for the day and I want to wait until I arrive at the train station to decide which train journey to take and there is no internet (WIFI) access available at the station. Can I add a journey to my Pass without internet access?

Nationality and type of pass were corrected(I’m not GB nor Interrail) after the reservation had been created by Superfast.It says I used a discount so if this was an interrail pass I allegedly wouldn’t use a travel day. However, it’s a Global EURail pass. No response from EURail and Superfast is unable to help. Ideas?
