I am showing a train transfer of 7 minutes on a train from Bolzano to Lienz in Fortezza, I am trying to get to Ljubljana. Is it possible to make that with two people moving a suitcase each also?
First let me say that I have read through this entire and very useful thread:My husband and I are foolish enough to be planning a round-trip train trip from Bucuresti to Istanbul’s Halkali train station. We have a Eurail pass because we’re doing extensive train travel in Austria, Italy, Switzerland, the Netherlands, and Romania. So while I know I could just pay for the Bucuresti-Istanbul tickets out of pocket since they’re not that expensive, I’d prefer to use the Eurail pass to subsidize the cost as much as possible since we’ve already got the pass. (We are getting our money’s worth out of all the rest of the travel we’re doing, but since we’ve got the pass and the travel days, why not use it for this part of the trip as well?)The Eurail site shows the Bosphorus Express is running between Bucuresti and Istanbul. And it says that the trains in both directions are part of the Eurail network and seat reservations are required. But the Eurail site also says that “Seat Reservations are n
I am very confused about the Global Plus pass and whether it is worth it. All the reservation fees showing say “from” this or that amount, so it’s difficult already to understand the full cost until you book, and with the plus pass it’s difficult to know which trains will not be covered and how much in monetary terms the extra 3 credits are worth - do they cover the cost of the reservation or what?? It’s all very confusing. I am travelling from the UK to France and Germany via Belgium.
I am hoping to travel from Vienna to Timisaora on 21 MayMy perfect train solution is 9.40 from vienna on the RJX269 to Budapest Kelenfoeld arriving 12.05The next leg is Budapest Keleti Timisoara at 13.10 on the IC377 arriving Timisaora at 19.29.The PROBLEM is that the second leg requires a seat reservation and I can’t seem to get it through Interrail.Hungarian railways don’t seem to be issuing online reservations !If there was more ime between the two trains it’s possible that I could negotiate a reservation at Budapest Keleti , but as there is only 30 minutes between trains that seems very unlikely .Is it possible to choose a later train from Budapest to Timisaora that would allow me time to get the reservations sorted - I can’t see how to do it in the Interrail app.If I built a delay into the travel would that count as 2 separate journeys on my Interrail pass ?Bit stuck.Complete newbie at this and I’m alreat having a nervous breakdown
Hello, i am planning on interrailing with my two teenage sons. We had been hoping to go from Munich to Prague, direct, on 31 July (ideally morning). We have 3 x first class interrail passes, however happy to travel in any class if there is limited availability. Unfortunately i can’t see any availability on any trains on that route, even in the nearby days. Am i doing something wrong, or is there really no 3 x seats that are bookable on that route around that timescale. thank you for any help!
Hi,on my seating reservation stands that it needs to be printed and is not valid in a digital format. I am currently in Italy and will travel to Switzerland on an EC. It is not possible for me to print something. I am now a little worried that there might be problems. I was wondering if someone else had that issue and knows if i can savely take my booked train.Thank you for your help!
Hello,my travel partner and I want to travel from Sofia to Bucarest on July 20th. The Interrail App suggest going via Craiova and changing trains twice. I found a train on the CFR website which leaves from Iliyantsi station in the morning going directly to Bucarest (IC 2611/International 460), which doesn’t appear in the app.Is it possible to board that train with an Interrail ticket and is a reservation required? We are staying in the city center of Sofia and the train is supposed to leave at 7:18. Is it possible for us to reach that train in a reasonable time?Thank you for answering!
This is less a question but more of a complaint.I have added a night train journey from Zurich to Amsterdam (arrive around 9am). However due to a change in plan, I decided to leave the train earlier at Koln station at 5am.Now I wanted to travel from Koln to Berlin, however I cannot add a new trip because it says the journey is overlapped with the night train journey. However I cannot delete the night train journey because it was in a past day. Now I am on an ICE risk being fined. What should I do in this case? In my opinion not being able to delete past journeys is a bad design.
Hello everyone, I’d like to ask for some advice because I’m taking a train to Madrid this morning, and it’s going to be half an hour late. The problem is that I was supposed to catch a connecting train to Seville afterward, and I’ll only have 15 minutes to make the connection at Madrid Atocha. Do you think that’s feasible? Thanks 🙏
I am planning this journey in Spain on 15 August:Paris 20:25 to Strasbourg 22:11 with TGV 2465Wait 41 minutesStrasbourg 22:52 to Offenburg 23:22 with RS4 (87461)Wait 13 minutesOffenburg 23:35 to Hamburg 07:53 with Nightjet 470Is the 13 minute connection in Offenburg too risky?Normally I would NEVER rely on such at short connection i Germany. But the journey between Strasbourg and Offenburg is only 30 minutes long. It has good statistics on https://www.zugfinder.net/en/train-RB_87461. No delays for the last 30 days. And it looks like is has the tracks by itself. So i think it could work...The TGV from Paris has not other stops and has also good statistics on https://www.zugfinder.net/en/train-TGV_2465. Only 3 delays (max 20 min) for the last 30 days. But the Nightjet 470 is (of course) the last train of the day. And If I miss it, I will have to find somewhere to sleep in Offenburg. Will it be possible to have this cost refunded if this situation occurs? My alternative would be an earlier
HiWe are a family of 4 inter-railing from London to Istanbul this summer. We want to book a private couchette from Bucharest to Istanbul using our interrail pass.I see now that you cannot do this online, and that we need to do this in person at a station. I had this confirmed by the Romanian CFR customer services folk. This feels very risky for us with a young family and being quite fixed on dates as we travel through Romania.I’ve looked on the interrail booking site and the OBB booking site and neither lets me book this train.Has anyone done this and can advise me if there is any way to book these tickets in advance? Could we do it using an agent of some kind? I’ve seen Andy recommended on Seat61, for instance.I think the only other option is to take the full cost of the seats on the chin and just book online without the interrail pass. Cost difference for the 4 of us seems to be around £100.I’d love some positive suggestions if anyone can help!Jennie
If we bought multiple passes in one order and individuals travel on different days, does it count as a travel day for everyone if one person travels on a day or only for that individual.
I recently booked an ÖBB train ticket for myself and a friend. The booking confirmation email explicitly states that the ticket is booked for both of us (2 adults). However, when I downloaded the PDF ticket, it only generated a single page with one single QR code. Only my name (as the lead passenger) is printed on the ticket. On previous ÖBB bookings, I have always received separate PDFs or separate QR codes for each traveller, so I'm a bit confused.Does anyone know if this single QR code acts as a "master" code that covers both passengers? Or is each traveller strictly required to have their own unique, separate QR code? Thanks in advance for the help!
I am looking to travel with interrail in October, and for the route I want to take I need to book several seat reservations. But I was wondering, when I have booked a seat do I get the confirmation e-mail/seat information from Interrail themselves or the train company I am travelling with?
Have just purchased 10 days within two month pass - hoping to travel tomorrow. When try to load app - either by Apple or Google Play does not do so.
I was waiting for today because of the TGV train from Bruxeles Midi to Marne La Valle Chessy seats reservations was opening today. (150 days before). And now when I was trying to book the seats reservation this message appears “No price results were found. Pass holder reservations may be sold out for this connection, but there are others ways to check for available seats - more info below our timetable”. The same day that they were available. This is strange. Are they already sold out? Or is this a mistake and I have to wait and keep looking? Anyway, is it any other option to get from Bruges to Strasbourg fastest and not arriving too late? Thanks
Hi, Shawn T. here-First time travelling in UK. I have a Global 7 days in a month Eurail Pass, it is activated and I have added a trip to it.I was able to buy a seat reservation from London Paddington to Oxford July 8 on apcrail.com(because it wasn’t available from Eurail.com also, this reservation maybe isn’t actually required) So, I have a journey in My Trip, but no actual ticket in the Rail Planner app, so am I good to go? Do I just show the inspector my Journey? Seems like I’m missing something here….Thanks for your help!

I am planning this journey in Spain on July 29:San Sebastian 11:00 to Palencia 16:08 with Renfe MD 18012Wait 17 minutesPalencia 16:25 to Oviedo 18:13 with Renfe AVE 5721Will 17 minutes be enough to change trains? Will the MD train be on time? I don't have any experience with Spanish trains. This will my first time on a Spanish train station with x-ray security check. How long will it take? I will bring a large hiking backpack with Camping gear, including metal objects like tent poles, tent pegs, cooking pot and an (empty) fuel bottle. Maybe it will look suspecious on x-ray.My alternative would be:Palencia 20:20 to Oviedo 22:22 with Renfe Alvia 4181But that means that I will have to wait more than 4 hours in PalenciaCan I use my reservation on Alvia 4181, if my first plan fails? Hi, just want to ask should I buy interrail pass of eurail pass if I am a BNO visa holder from Hong Kong living in the UK for studying?
The DB App doesn’t say one is necessary at all but somehow the Interrail App says it’ll be required (from E8). (Pretty sure I’ve been on this train before and cannot recall ever getting one...)I’m looking to get back from Germany to England in July; Brussels is faster than Amsterdam but I’d like to avoid additional reservation fees (on top of the Eurostar ones).Any advice appreciated. I’ve not yet raised a ticket with the helpdesk...
Can we load the Apps/Passes on both of our phones, so that we have security if one of our phones in lost/stolen.
My wife and I (both seniors) will be traveling 1st class to Venice (except for the Eurostar legs) leaving London on 15.12, staying overnight in Lille and then going to Chambery the following day, staying overnight there and onto Milan and then Venice on our third day. We are leaving Venice on 4.1.27 and will do a similar journey coming back but not stop over in Lille. Alternatively we may go from Chambery to Paris and take the Eurostar back from there. I used AI to ask whether or not it was worth purchasing interrail tickets, and the response was yes- because of price inflation over the Christmas period. I have to say that we did a similar trip last Christmas and the prices were very high. So my 1st question is - do you agree with that assessment? Note - if we do not use Interrail then we have the option of using the Frecciarossa to and from Lyon as an alternative to the Chambery.Ideally we don’t want to commit until after 1st August as this will be our first experience of t
Attendo riscontro,Grazie mille
