Get ready to travel

I am trying to reserve a room on OBB Nightjet from Milan to Vienna on 6/24 for all 4 of us, yet the OBB website shows tickets not available; I was under an impression that it can only be booked 90 days before, then saw it on the OBB website that it can be booked 180 days ahead, not sure what to do, can anyone provide me some suggestions?? Thanks

Hoping to reserve a return trip from Munich-Fussen-Munich with a Eurail Global Pass.Is it possible to do this via DB (as I cannot do it on Eurail). I can find the journey on DB but am unable to add my pass?

For this journey on my Global Eurail Pass I get the error message ‘Sorry, something went wrong. Please try again later or find another connection. This connection will be removed from your cart.’ Even if I change the date to closer or later I am still getting this message!

When planning my trip I have a pass for myself and a child’s pass (free) for my daughter who will be under 12 the entire time. My question is, how do I do travel planning so that we are both on the same trips and seated together?  Do I have to essentially put her in her own trip and manually duplicate everything and just watch seating charts?

This has meant that it has not been possible to operate the route Abisko Östra-Narvik by train. The restoration work has dragged on. The Swedish Transport Administration's latest forecast is that the track will not open for passenger traffic on the section Abisko Östra/Björkliden-Narvik until the last week of May. There will be a limited range of traffic on the stretch Abisko Östra/Björkliden-Narvik during the mentioned period. We have a recurring dialogue with the Swedish Transport Administration about the condition of the track and update if the information changes. I would like to travel from Minden, Germany to Paris, France airport around approximately July 25. But Eurail says there are no trains found. But Google maps shows train (and bus) routes I can take. Why is Eurail not showing any routes? Could someone help me figure out how to use Eurail for this travel? Thanks!

Is it possible to find a train from Biarritz to madrid? 

Just wonder what happens if I buy a pass and because I miss a connection (no my fault), my trip hope is on the day after my pass expired. E.g. I have a 5 day Global Pass and wanna travel from England to Southern Germany where I live. Due to delays I only make it to Paris on Day 5, so what to do on Day 6 for the trip from Paris to Southern Germany? Buy a new single trip ticket or is the Global Pass extended for the trip home because of the delay?

Hello! I live in the UK. I am hoping to buy a one month global pass (5 journeys) and use it at the start of the month for 3 train journeys in Sweden and Norway (not travelling there by train). I then want to use the remaining 2 journeys for a weekend in Paris at the end if the month on eurostar, travelling from London, so my home country. This will mean my inbound and outbound journeys will come after my 3 other journeys. Is this allowed? Thanks!

Good evening,I booked a seat reservation through Eurail, I have a global 15 day pass. Entered in all the information, payed. I was allocated seat 21 and my wife seat 24. No choice of seats was given, is this normal when booking seat reservation via Eurail. Cheers. 

Hi, I have made seats reservation on raileurope and received the tickets, but upon entering the reference number on SNCF site, they directed me to SNCF Voyageurs site, and told me that “Your ticket could not be imported. Please check the travel information provided.” What can I do now to verify the tickets? Is my reservation valid?

Morning i booked seat reservations for my wife and I using DB app.  I have an invoice but I have not been issued with a QR code. Is this normal?  What do I need to show the conductor? Trip is between Vienna- Breclav and Breclav - Praha on 2 June.  I have seat reservation numbers for both legs. just know Barcode received and no email pass received. Interrail Passholder Eurostar fares to Rotterdam are more than 35 Euros (via RailEurope), is this due to split journey, change at Brussels? Good morning,I have just purchased 2 x 15 day Eurail passes.  I have added them to my phone, but not activated them.  When I checked my first journey, there was not tick box or slide to add the journey to the pass. Will this become available Once I have activated the pass? And secondly, I not due to travel for a month, can I activate my pass to test, then deactivate it?Thanks. Adam  

Dear travelers,  After a good experience last year me and my family will be travelling by train (interrail) again this year. We plan to travel from Utrecht to Wien by Nightjet 40421 on the 7th of juli. I want to book a couchette for 4 persons in the Nightjet, but somehow I also have to pay 39,60 euro for Sparscheine Komfort. If I remember correctly I didn't have to pay that last year, just the reservation for the couchette and the extra amount for 4 persons. Does anyone here know why that is? Because of the Euro 2024? Thanks in advance for information!

HI my family will be traveling to Europe this summer July 23-Aug 13th.  We would love to hit all three countries France, Italy and Switzerland and do it all by train.  Has anyone experienced a three week trip all by train with the family.  Where should we start and end?  How do we pick and choose what destinations in each country?  We definitely want to explore some of the beautiful places in nature and mountains as well.  I am grateful for any feedback or layout you suggest.

I am keen to travel via Brussels, but am afraid of the “short’ transfer time given that I am travelling out of UK (security and customs check). I’m also quite afraid that the ICE train at Brussels would be delayed/cancelled as it seems quite common upon checking the train history. What do you think? Which option would you choose? I am planning my summer holiday. A part of the journey goes from SW Germany to Paris.  This could be one of these trains:Mannheim Hbf 13:42 to Paris Est 16:52 (TGV 9552)OrKarlsruhe Hbf 15:32 to Paris Est 18:16 (ICE 9572)OrKarlsruhe Hbf 18:05 to Paris Est 20:43 (TGV 9560)Since these trains runs in France, I will need seat reservations.If I buy reservations at Rail Europe.com, they will cost 18€. Here I can choose what kind seat I will get (window/aisle and upper/lower deck). But it looks like it is not possible to choose the actual carriage and seat number.​​But if I book at bahn.de I can get the same reservations for just 4,9€. But here the seat are automatically assigned.Does anyone know if it somehow is possible to get reservations at the cheap DB price AND be able to choose my seat? Hi there! I’m from Argentina. I just got a pass for 5 days in may. I’m starting from Switzerland and need to travel to Ghent Belgium afterwards. I tried googling and searching but couldn’t find out what is the best way to get there. Is Google Maps public transport mode reliable? Because it tells me to do like 5 combinations, is there no direct way from one country to another?Besides this case, how can I know, for each city, which trains and destinations are available?Also, if I understand well, the pass doesn’t guarantee any seats, right? So if I don’t reserve seats and the train is full I lose it or travel standing up?Sorry I am really lost, if anyone could point me to some useful articles I would be really grateful.
