Hi.I have never travelled on a Eurail pass before. When I am in the process of changing trains and following my itinerary, (e.g. I only have 20 minutes between alighting the first train and then boarding the second train), where I am changing trains at a large railway station with lots of platforms. How will I know which platform to board my second train? Will the platform number be mentioned on my itinerary? Are the platform numbers of soon departing trains mentioned on all of the platforms where people are alighting? It is very important for me to know, especially if I have a seat booking on the second or third train. Please give me some ideas.

Hi. I’m new to trains. I purchased a 15 day pass and booked a train on Eurostar from France to Rotterdam. My email is telling me to bring a reduction card. I don’t have one and can’t get one where I’m living (Central America). I thought I could just use the app but not sure what to do. I have the barcode for the Eurostar but not sure how to get it onto my Eurail app. I am traveling to Europe in May.Thank you for any help in this matter. • 2 x Adult with fare RailPass Standard+ Eurail 1st classPlease make sure you have your reduction card with you during your journey.
Hello everyone,I am currently travelling, trying to make my way down from zagreb to split. i have my eurail pass already, so im looking to only book the seat reservation. when i attempt to do so online, eurail website states my only way is though a paper ticket. since i’m not home, it’s impossible for me to receive a paper ticket, so an eticket is my only option. the same issue also arises when attempting to get from gyoer to zagreb. is there a way around this? thanks!
I want yo make s reservation for the Eurostar Brussels to London. Going through the process I suddenly get charged €4 extra for a mobile ticket which I don't want. Is there a trick around this. I can't find how it comes to this. I thought i would get an email with the bar code to copy and use. Anybody got a suggestion? Many thanks Jetmum
Hi :) The railway map on the Interrail website only has a few routes from different cities- is this map showing the only routes or is it more of a base for other journeys? Could I for example take the train from Bath to Bristol using the Interrail Pass?
Hello everyoneI plan to travel from Bern to London via Paris on June 9th. I’ve already made the booking for the 15.12 Eurostar service from Paris to London. Now I found this interesting connection from Bern but I’m a bit worried about the transfer time of only 9 minutes:RE 18122 Bern 06.23 → Frasne 08.06TGV 9264 Frasne 08.15 → Paris G.d.Lyon 11.08Has anyone any experience with this connection? Is the connection guaranteed? My alternative would be travelling via Basel and Strassbourg as trains are more frequent on that route. But the transfer time in Strassbourg is also not too long.Which route would you prefer? I only want to catch the Eurostar in Paris. Thanks in advance for your help.
Hi , Myself and family are trying to book seat reservations from Basel to Zurich early April. Our train is midweek at lunchtime, an IC service. The SBB website states that reservations are not possible.Given the journey is just under 1 hour, I presume given this is such a frequent service that reservations are not required.Thx in advance.
I am trying to figure out how to get the best use os my pass on the last inbound part of my travel.I haven’t decided exactly which train I will take, but it might look something like this: Hamburg (DE) 20:43 to Flensburg (DE) 22:40 (Last station before the border)Flensburg (DE) 22:50 to Fredericia (DK) 00:14Fredericia (DK) 00:20 to Horsens (DK) 00:59 The last part is short, but in case I have a travel day to spare, I can just as well use it for that.I have read this guide: https://www.interrail.eu/en/interrail-passes/interrail-mobile-pass/mobile-pass-faq/how-can-i-travel-back-home-by-night-trainI tells how to split an inbound journey, so that the inbound is applied to the second day. But that assumes that the border is crossed after midnight. In my case I will cross the border before midnight and change to another train after midnight.I know this will require 2 travel days, but is there any way to apply the inbound journey to the last day? There is no trains from Flensburg after midnigh
Hey,I bought a ticket from Vienna to Berlin with DB before purchasing the interrail pass. I would like to use it as part of my interrail. Is there a way to get a refund from that? Thanks!
I’ve begun booking some trips for the summer and have booked Amsterdam to Brussels and Brussels to London. The Amsterdam to Brussels portion has a ticket QR code on the Eurail app, but the Brussels to London segment (on Eurostar) does not. I did, however, have to add additional passport information on the Eurostar website to get my seat reservation for the Brussels-London portion of the trip and I printed out this ticket with a QR code directly from Eurostar. Can I assume that this ticket from Eurostar is the only one I need, and that there isn’t a separate QR code required on the Eurail app?
Hi I'm new here and travelling to Europe for 3 months very soon. I would like to know more about Eurail pass I'm thinking of getting a 3 month one and travelling around Europe at my own pace. But not sure how eurail pass work any advice would be appreciated please.
Hi Is it relatively easy to book the Eurostar (Paris to London) using the pass or are there a limited number of seats available to pass holders? Before I buy the pass I’m trying to figure out if these tickets for August could be included as that will be the deal breaker for us. We’re a family of 4 so would need 4 seats together. Thanks
I have a Eurail 1st class pass and want to catch this train from Venice to Pordenone. Is this the right web site to book it? Is the 26EUD booking fee right?
Hi there,Thanks to many friends on this site who gave me the tips for seat reservation last year.I used OBB site to make seat reservation. It was free for 1st class globe pass holder. I used my ‘2x months in a row Globe pass’ on daily basis for 61 days. That was great! It made my journey much more enjoyable. Thank you so much! I am going there again this year.I am not sure if any of you realized that OBB no longer gives free seat reservation for 1st Class holder any more. They charge 3 Euros now. (It is still cheaper than many other sites though.) I believe that this just happened (a few weeks ago).Or maybe, I didn’t find the right trick? 😀Any ideas or tips to share will be much appreciated!Thank you!
Hello lovely people,I am planning to travel in the following countries for about 18-20 days in end of May: Germany (i start here) - Switzerland - Italy - France - Belgium - End in Germany. I am planning to buy 4 global passes as i feel it is convenient to have a flexibility with the trains to be boarded. However, i have some questions that i wish to be clarified before buying these passes. Question 1: How does the boarding a train work? Can i simply board any train from one place to other (regional or high speed train)? or is it required to book the tickets on some specific website or any app to avail the pass? (of course i understand a seat reservation has to be made separately otherwise, seat is not guaranteed ). The question is about boarding the train and what to do if ticket controller appears and asks for ticket. Can i simply show the pass on my mobile?Question 2: Does this train include the city metro or trams also? If it does, the same question for boardingQuestion 3: If i buy

Hi, I have already reserved a seat on the 11:04 eurostar from London to Brussels on the 2nd July a few weeks ago and today my friend tried to reserve a seat on the same train. When you try to reserve it now it doesnt come up at all on raileurope and says “Not Available” on the eurostar website. My ticket seems to still be valid though and when I look at the seats the vast majority are still available, looking at other trains that day it seems all the trains that continue to Amsterdam are “Not Available”. Is this a timetable issue or are we going to need to change to the next available train?Thank you for any help.
On Eurail web site, trying to book 2 reserved seats on Frecciarossad train between Bologna and Firenze. Looks like I can do this but I see no step to reserve specific seats or have them assigned. Do I select seats when I board? Would like to sort this out before I actually pay for them.Is this normal or did I miss a step?
Are subways and buses included in "CONTINUOUS Eurail passes" for transit only within urban centers? In other words, would the passes also work for subways and buses in urban centers?
Hello, I’m planning to go interrailing later on in the year and am planning on using two of my journeys for inbound and outbound travel from the UK (my home country) and just want to check if it is alright!I live in Leeds, so am planning on taking a train from Leeds to Kings Cross and then changing to get the Eurostar from St Pancras to Brussels. Then I’m planning on returning by flying into Luton Airport and taking the train back up to Leeds. My plan is to get a train from Luton Airport to St Pancras and then travel with LNER back up to Leeds. Is all of this ok and does it count as one outbound and one inbound journey? Are all of the trains I have listed included with an interrail pass? Thanks!!
Hi everybody, Going for a trip through Eastern Europe with end destination Istanbul this summer. Including 2 kids. Should it be more safe choosing the paper option? Regarding the countries as Romania, Bulgaria and Turkey. If the conductor doesn’t accept mobile tickets or app we have nothing to show, no? Or are we wrong? When I visit the interrail website i feel a strong push towards mobile passes, but also for Eastern Europe? Anyone with experience, please some advice, Grts
I’ve stored my wife’s pass onto my device but I can’t add her to my planned literary. I tried to make duplicate but it doesn’t work. Do I need to type the whole itinerary again?
If I buy a 6 days in one month Scandinavian pass and my last day of travel is used on travel from Copenhagen to Hirtshals, do I loose the discount on ferry travel to Bergen the next day even though my month of pass validity is not over yet but I used last day of 6 days travel?
