I’m trying to book the night train from Rome to Munich for 11 April. My wife and 2 children are travelling so would like a 4 berth cabin for us. I have tried to book through the Interrail website as well as using int.bahn.de, obb.de, trenitalia.com but for vague reasons all have said I can’t make the booking. I have tried to call bahn.de on +49 (0) 30 2970 and +49 (0) 30 311-682904 but constantly.get messages that the service is busy.Any suggestions from people who have managed to make this booking would be gratefully received.
Hi, I would like to go on holiday to Bolzano (Italy). I would buy an Interrail global pass because it is cheaper than a regular ticket. I start my journey from Antwerp.Antwerp → Brussels → Frankfurt → München → Bolzano.I have some questions:I should take 4 trains on 1 day to get to Bolzano. Can I travel with an Interrail global pass? Is it correct that I have to pay extra for the train between Munchen -> Bolzano? Is that the only additional amount that I have to pay?
Hi, I’m intending to buy two Mobile Passes in the Spring Promo to be used in July. I’ve read that there is a requirement to connect the App to the internet every three days to ensure the Passes remains usable. I’m assuming that this only has to be done once I activate the Passes and want to start using them and not during the four months between buying them and starting to use them. I’d be grateful if anyone could let me know if this is correct please.
Hello,I am planning a family vacation in July 2024. I purchased 5 Day 1 Month Global Pass for me and my family. I was able to reserve seats for us to go from London to Paris but when I go into Seat Reservations and attempt to reserve seats from Milan Italy to Florence and other trips from one Italian city to another for middle of July (still within the 1 month timeframe of my first planned train ride from London to Paris), I get an error message “We can't find any trains that match your search. Please change your search and try again.” I have tried multiple cities, times, stations, and I continue to get the error when going through Seat Reservations. I know trains are running because I can go onto other sites and see them available. I am willing to pay for the seat reservations. Am I doing something wrong? Am I able to purchase seat reservations before my passes are activated for July (I was able to with London to Paris)? Is there an issue getting seats reserved for cities in Ita
Hi,I’m thinking of buying a 4 day Global pass:Day one I will travel from my local station to Birmingham New Street, then to London Euston, then to the Eurostar to Brussels then Change to Düsseldorf.Day Two and three I will just explore Germany using the ICE and regional trains. Then Day Four, I will take the exact same journey as I did on Day one back to the UK.Will travelling on the S-Bahn and RegionalBahn take away one of my travel days meaning I will have to buy a 5 Day pass or not?
My girlfriend and I are planning an Interrail trip to the UK this summer. We would like to take the Eurostar from Paris to London on 28 June. We have not yet bought an Interrail pass as we are still hoping for a discount. So we have not yet been able to book seats on the Eurostar. Now we are not sure how long we can wait, i.e. how quickly do Eurostar seats usually sell out? I am happy to hear any tips and experiences :)
I brought my first ticket for Aug 1st through rail europe. I indicated my global pass number during the checkout. I am trying to add that to my trip in Rail Planner app. I added the journey, added to my pass and activated it. Everything looked good and I was able to view my ticket (QR code) which I believe is what I need to scan/show. But after a while I checked again any my journey is gone from the app. What am I doing wrong? Or is this a known app issue? I got email from rail Europe with pdf tickets attached. Can I take a print out if it just to be safe? It has QR code too.Thank you.
I’m new to Eurail. I’m looking at the pass that allows 7 days travel in a month. As I understand it, you create a journey (which may be a number of train connections and train changes) save it to your trip and then create a ticket for the day. What happens if you miss a train during the day - say for example, you are not familiar with the station and fail to get to the next train in time? What do you do? Is your ticket for the day valid for another train? Do you need to create a new journey for the day? Assuming no reservations are needed.
We want to make a 1st class seat reservation for EC163 (Zurich 8h40- Innsbruck 12h11) to see the views in the panorama carriage, but we only have 2nd class passes. In the Interrail.eu website, it only appears the option “Seat 2nd class“ but in the OBB wesite it seems to have a choice, as shown in the image below:Is it possible?
Travelling from Nice to Avignon to Annecy and then Paris is it worth buying a rail pass ? And if you buy it do you have to pay extra for the train ticket
We are plannig a trip from Germany (Hannover) to Spain (Malaga). On the Route that we wish to take there is one stopover which does not leave much time to change trains. As we are aware that the German trains are often late we are worried about making our connecting train that requires a reservation. Is it possable (and meaningful) to buy reservations for the following train as well as the train that we are hoping to take?Thank you in advance.
I am aware that as recently as 2 months ago, the Eurail pass did not work for trains from Interlaken Ost to Lauterbrunnen, Grindelwald and above._________________________________Has there been any RECENT CHANGE to this policy so that the Eurail pass can be used for these trains ?Same question for Aerial tramways?
Two people traveling together for the first time using Eurail Passes on each of their smart phones.Note: we are new to these passes. Hence, this may be a “dumb” question, but here goes:Is it better to purchase a 2-person pass; or two, separate, 1-person passes? There is no cost difference.
Next Summer we will be first-time users of the Eurail Pass. We are not familiar with past practices with this pass. We are seeing notices for a 15% discount offer (20-Feb thru 2-March) from several online sources including https://www.eurail.com/en/eurail-passes/global-pass.Questions: Is there any reason NOT to purchase this pass now verses later in promotional period (high the discount get better)? Based on experiences from prior years, are better offers likely before summer or is this the best we should expect?
This summer (end of July to the start of August) I will travel from Denmark to the Pyrenees to hike for 1 or 2 weeks. I will buy an interrail pass for the journey.I will buy reservations for the outbound journey. (If all goes well I will be able to do this part of the journey in just 1 travel day - this includes 2 night trains)But since I don't know when I will finish my hike, I can't buy reservations for the home journey in advance. Most trains in France requires a reservation. The only exception is the regional TER-trains. But they are slow. And I am not sure how comfortable they are on a long journey. What my chances of buying a reservation for a French long distance train in the start of August with just a few days notice in the start of August? My home journey starts in Toulouse.I know that some French trains only has limited interrail reservations. I guess they will be sold out. But what about the trains that are not marked as limited in the Interrail Planner?Just to complicate thin
How can i reserve a spot on a tgv when I have a Interrail Global Pass Youth?
Hi everyone! I will be visiting Europe very soon and are delighted to hear that the Eurail Pass is on 15% off this spring!Upon doing some calculations, we found that the flexi Eurail pass could save more cost compared to the half-fare pass/STP. I'm sharing our itinerary, could anyone help me to fact check that I am using the pass correctly? Do let us know if there are better ways to use the flexi pass! We are open to adding more days too Also, are reservations typically made with eurail/europeb? I noticed that I can make the seat reservation at Raileurope as well. Is this correct? Day Activate Eurail Pass Itinerary 1 No Frankfurt - Interlaken (book on DB) Explore surroundings using Interlaken guest card 2 Yes Interlaken - Grindelwald - First Interlaken <-> Grindelwald (Free) Grindelwald <-> First (50% off) 3 Yes Interlaken - Schilthorn Interlaken <-> Murren (Free)
Hello! I am planning my first Interrail alone with my two kids (11 yo and 8yo).Do I have to create 3 different journeys (one each) and add the train details every time? Thanks!Ale

Hey y’all, thanks for your help. I’m trying to get from Paris to Barcelona on Wednesday Feb 21. There’s one direct train that isn’t sold out yet, but seems the only ticket left are first class. I have a EUrail global second class pass.I’ve read on similar questions in the community that France/SCNF sometimes allows people to pay the first class reservation fee as an upgrade and it’s fine even if you have a second class pass. But I’ve also read that basically I’d be riding without a valid ticket, so I haven’t bought anything yet. Rather urgent though, since I think this is the last ticket available. Any advice? I could go to Gare du Lyon tomorrow and ask in person. It’s difficult for me to call because I don’t have a valid phone number right now, but I can figure out how to if needed.

Hi,Firstly, lucky to have this forum. Thanks for doing this wonderful job and making our trips easy and worthwhile! My partner and I are traveling to Switzerland from 19th to 23rd July. We are planning to buy a Eurail Global Pass as we intend to travel to other European countries too. I have a few questions about three of my trips here –1. We are planning to do the Golden Round Trip from Lucerne on the 20th of July (Saturday). What journies here are covered totally under the Global Eurail Pass? Bearing in mind that it is a weekend in July, should I make reservations in advance? If I have to book individual tickets for each of the rides, what is the best website to book it from? (Boat to Alpnachstad –> cogwheel train to Pilatus –> Cable Car to Kriens –> Bus to Lucerne)Any other tips and tricks for this particular trip, please? Not able to figure out from this page https://benefitsportal.eurail.com/benefits/swiss-private-trains-benefits/ maybe the term language and place names are
I have a trip from Newcastle to London King Cross tomorrow, because of the ongoing engineering work, it includes the bus replacement, I wanna ask if the bus has a storage place specifically for big luggage?
Hello, We are renting a place in Rothenburg a little aways from Lucerne that requires bus travel. Does Eurail global pass cover local bus and train travel? Does showing the pass from the Railplanner app enough or is there a ticket buying process involved?Thank you.
