Two people traveling together for the first time using Eurail Passes on each of their smart phones.Note: we are new to these passes.  Hence, this may be a “dumb” question, but here goes:Is it better to purchase a 2-person pass; or two, separate, 1-person passes?There is no cost difference.

Next Summer we will be first-time users of the Eurail Pass. We are not familiar with past practices with this pass.  We are seeing notices for a 15% discount offer (20-Feb thru 2-March) from several online sources including https://www.eurail.com/en/eurail-passes/global-pass.Questions:  Is there any reason NOT to purchase this pass now verses later in promotional period (high the discount get better)?   Based on experiences from prior years, are better offers likely before summer or is this the best we should expect?

This summer (end of July to the start of August) I will travel from Denmark to the Pyrenees to hike for 1 or 2 weeks. I will buy an interrail pass for the journey.I will buy reservations for the outbound journey. (If all goes well I will be able to do this part of the journey in just 1 travel day - this includes 2 night trains)But since I don't know when I will finish my hike, I can't buy reservations for the home journey in advance.Most trains in France requires a reservation. The only exception is the regional TER-trains. But they are slow. And I am not sure how comfortable they are on a long journey.What my chances of buying a reservation for a French long distance train in the start of August with just a few days notice in the start of August?My home journey starts in Toulouse.I know that some French trains only has limited interrail reservations. I guess they will be sold out. But what about the trains that are not marked as limited in the Interrail Planner?Just to complicate thin

How can i reserve a spot on a tgv when I have a Interrail Global Pass Youth?

I will be visiting Europe very soon and are delighted to hear that the Eurail Pass is on 15% off this spring!Upon doing some calculations, we found that the flexi Eurail pass could save more cost compared to the half-fare pass/STP. I'm sharing our itinerary, could anyone help me to fact check that I am using the pass correctly? Do let us know if there are better ways to use the flexi pass! How do i make a reservation when it says “This is a popular train. Seat reservations are recommended but not required.” but there is no option to reserve a seat?I have a 1st Class 15 day pass and the trip I am looking at is may 6 from Vienna to Prague at 11:10AM

Hey y’all, thanks for your help. I’m trying to get from Paris to Barcelona on Wednesday Feb 21. There’s one direct train that isn’t sold out yet, but seems the only ticket left are first class. I have a EUrail global second class pass.I’ve read on similar questions in the community that France/SCNF sometimes allows people to pay the first class reservation fee as an upgrade and it’s fine even if you have a second class pass. But I’ve also read that basically I’d be riding without a valid ticket, so I haven’t bought anything yet. Rather urgent though, since I think this is the last ticket available. Any advice? I could go to Gare du Lyon tomorrow and ask in person. It’s difficult for me to call because I don’t have a valid phone number right now, but I can figure out how to if needed. 

Hello, I have a question about prices for night  train in norway, we saw 91 € for a single cabin to sleep, We want to take 2 night train oslo bergen and oslo trondheim, but we are not sure about the prices.We are travelling as a couple and we are wondering if 91€ is for two or for one person.Thank you for your help 🙏

We are planning to buy a Eurail Global Pass as we intend to travel to other European countries too. I have a few questions about three of my trips here –1. We are planning to do the Golden Round Trip from Lucerne on the 20th of July (Saturday). What journies here are covered totally under the Global Eurail Pass? Bearing in mind that it is a weekend in July, should I make reservations in advance? If I have to book individual tickets for each of the rides, what is the best website to book it from? Hi!So, i am planning to travel from Budapest (Keleti) › Bucharest (Nord) via Szonol, train NT473 and i am trying to book a seat reservation for a double sleeper for me and my wife. It happens that it allows me to book on my own, but once i add a traveler, it only shows me the 2nd class ticket reservation.I tried to book on OBB website, but it says tickets are not available. Does this have to do with the 30/60 days booking availability window?This is kind of confusing so a little help would make a difference.Thanks!Joel Ventura

Hi! I already bought an Interrail ticket and now want to reserve train seats. My trip is planned for August. When i try to reserve seats for example from Bergen to Oslo or from Trondheim to Bodo, „no results are found“. I already called the Entur callcenter, but they said i can i can book in may at earliest?! Every „norway train trip“ website told me to reserve as soon as possible… is there another way to reserve or did i do something wrong? Thank you for your answers:) 

Folgende Situation: Mein Mann wird für uns Beide die Stationtickets auf seinem Handy haben. Die Antwort auf die FAQ-Frage: “Was wäre, wenn jemand anderes mein Spielticket für mich gekauft hätte?” = Sie können entweder gemeinsam reisen oder sie übertragen ihr Spielticket auf Sie. … Verstehe ich leider nicht.Heißt “Sie können gemeinsam reisen”, dass Jeder einen eigenen Interrail Pass EURO 2024 auf seinem eigenen Handy haben kann, und er dann einfach die Stadiontickets vorzeigt, die für uns beide gelten? 

I have booked a camping in Mataró, which is about an hour away from the city center of Barcelona. The best way to get there is by Rodalies de Catalunya, which I figure is sort of a regional train. However, on the Interrail-website, I can't find connections. Therefore, I am wondering if Interrail is valid on these trains or that I need to buy seperate tickets.

However, when I try add all the connections in my Eurail app, I only find the ones from Valencia up to Marseille, but from Marseille to Nice, from Nice to Monte Carlo and the rest of the stops in this route seems not to be connected. Why is that? I also have one more question about the seat reservation prices. I will be travelling with my 11 years old son. Eurail pass is free of charge for him, but I see that for most of the trains in this route seat reservations will be required. I purchased an Interrail flexible 5-day ticket. Among them, I have a question about 1 day.I live in France and I booked a train ticket from Vienna, Austria to Paris via Frankfurt, Germany.I would like to cancel or change this reservation.Because I want to go from Vienna, Austria to Salzburg, Austria.I would like to reserve a train ticket from Salzburg to Paris later.Is it possible to change, refund, or modify it?

Trip is in April and May - two months. Going to purchase 10 day 2 month Global Pass. What is the soonest date we can purchase the Global Pass to start making reservations for train trips starting in April?   Can we purchase reservations today for trips in April & May with the Global 10 day 2 month Pass.  Thanks Joan

We found the pass included R-net in Netherlands.The Netherlands Metro is under R-net company.Can we use the pass to take Metro when we are in Netherlands?Thanks

Normally an ic train runs from Lille Flandres to Kortrijk. But when I look on different site I do not find it for Sunday 12 May, the Sunday before and after the trains are just online. I wonder if there is an error in system, or there are just no IC trains that Sunday? Where could I find this info back? Thanks in advancedTania

Hi, I’m trying to get seat reservations from Lille Europe direct to Avignon on TGV #9830 for 17 May (bypassing Paris) but whichever site (Rail Europe/SNCF/SNCB) I try to book on, it shows the full price tickets without the Eurail Pass discount. Eurail Planner does not have this direct option and only offers routes with a change at Paris (Nord-Gare Lyon) which I’m trying to avoid as I’m travelling with children.Have all the Pass Holder seats been filled up? I’ve been checking this route regularly since Dec 2023 but of course tickets are not open for sale yet, and now they are available but without the pass dicount 🤔Hoping to hear some expert advice from the pros 💪🏻Thanks in advance!
