I start my interrrail today. I have 6 days in a month. Tomorrow I do not want to use it. Do I need to do something or just dont open it all day ?
I would like to ask some questions about tours in Switzerland. I bought the Eurail Pass Global, what do I still need to buy to go to Mount Titlis? The same question applies to getting to Junhfraujoch.Does the Eiraul pass also cover the journey from Interlaken to Grindelwald?Does the Eiraul pass also cover the journey from Interlaken to Lauterbrunnen?
Hello,I ran into a very strange situation this morning. I try to make a reservation for the direct TGV from Brussels to Valence on the 27th of april. While trying that at raileurope it says ‘rail pass does not apply for this trip’. While trying at the interrailservice it says ‘tickets may be sold out’. However if I split the reservation it does work. The train from Brussels to Valence stops at Lille Europe. If I request a reservation from Brussels to Lille and from Lille to Valence it does allow me to make a reservation. So that basically means two separate reservations for the same train? Raileurope even puts me in exactly the same seats. What is going on here? I dont really like paying the double fee.
I have just tried to buy 2 tickets for interrail travel, and kept having an error occurring. When my boyfriend and I did it separately, it went through. I have just received the tickets and completely forgot that we would not be sat next to each other. These are for trains that ‘seat reservations are reccomended, not required’. Does anyone know how strict these seats are? We would like to sit next to each other but don't want to incur any fines. Luckily, the seats are in the same coach, just different seat numbers.
I’m looking to book couchettes for my family on a Friday night train in late August from Salzburg to Paris. I know it is too early but I can’t find any couchettes available for Friday nights that appear to be “open”. Is there something special I need to do? Should I plan an alternative route or way of transportation?
I'm planning an Interrail trip and would like to visit the following cities:Sofia (Bulgaria) Skopje (North-Macedonia) Mojkovac (Montenegro) Belgrade (Serbia) Budapest (Hungary) Bratislava (Slovakia) Prague (Czech Replubic) Final Destination, home (The Netherlands)However, when I use the Interrail website to plan my route, it says that it is not possible to travel between these cities by train. I'm wondering if there are any other train routes that I might have missed, or that someone else knows a better way to travel?
Hello.Me and my wife are originally from Turkey but we are in Germany for 6 months. We are considering buying 2 months in a row pass. So we can travel freely and by taking a break. But if there is a home country question here. Can we choose Turkey as our home country? So we can return to our home in Germany and travel back when we want again. I am asking because paying for trains to the border in Germany every time will cost a lot and it will not be useful and preferable for us.(We have a residence of course in Germany, but also in Turkey. But we do not have a residence permit, only D-Type Visa.)
I already travel fromZermatt to St. Moritz. Now I want to go from St. Moritz to Luzern.…What is the best way?And the fast one? Thanks a lot.
Hi all, we are going to purchase a 10 day over 2 months global Eurail Pass, 1st Class, as we are travelling from the UK to Budapest to Switzerland and then into Italy. The only thing I'm confused about is booking reservations for trains in Italy, and what class 1st class Eurail relates to on the many classes on the high speed Italian trains, Business, Premium etc? Also do I make the reservations through the rail planner, or Italiarail or somewhere else? Thanks 😊
Hi, I have 2 questions; When planning a trip requiring a train change, I notice there is often a very brief amount of time eg: Brugges to Paris via Brussels has 10 mins (or less). The first leg does not require a reservation so, can I catch an earlier train to ensure I have enough time to catch the second one, which DOES required a reservation? If so, how do i do this on the planning function on the app as it defaults to the quickest trip? or doesn’t it really matter as long as I am there in time for the train requiring reservations? We are a group of 6 and would like to sit together if possible. Does this mean 1 person has to make all the bookings? How does than work with the app?Thank you and I apologise if I have been long-winded and unclear.Diane.
Hi, is there any meal included in European sleeper, I bought a couchette ticket.
I have been looking on Rail Europe for trains - and the information is different on this website than on the interrail app. Train from Bruxelles-midi to Koeln Hbf 24th July 2024 16.23 arr 18.15. I am struggling to get a Eurostar seat booking for this. So looking at trains without seat bookings:On the interrail it states you go to Liege-Guillemins with ICE 317 first, and then to AachenHbf and then Koeln Hbfon Rail Europe ICE 317 is a direct train to Koeln Hbf and I do not need a seat reservation.Do you know which is correct??? Very different trains?
Can anyone signpost me to instructions on how to use the Rail Europe website or app to make reservations with an Interrail Pass? I’ve tried going through each step of the booking process and cannot see where to enter Interrail pass? Thanks
Boa tarde!
Hi, me and my partner have ordered our passes, however we didn’t add a pass for our daughter 2years old as it said she was obviously free. We are now trying to do seat reservations and can see we should have added a free Eurail child pass when paying?? Is there anyway to add this on now? Thanks so much. lia
I purchased 3 Flexi German mobile rail passes 7 days within 1 month on December 9th 2023. I plan to travel starting on March 30th 2024. But on my order confirmation and app shows “Activate this pass by February 1 2024”. I tried to make seat reservation for March 30th, the web page shows my pass is not valid on this date. I am not able to travel with theses passes if the condition is like this. I did not recall I need to enter start and end sate during booking process. The website shows the pass can be used within 11 months from purchased date. Submitted support request but have not heard from the customer service. Anyone knows why this happens? Is there any way I can change this? The passes haven’t being activated yet. Thanks for helping!
Hi everyone, I’m a newbie here, tried to make a seat reservation for our family trip in June; 1/6/24 from Paris to Basel, many options showing “Pass Invalid”, advising me to either book another train or purchase a separate ticket; isn’t Eurail Global Pass including TGV/Lyria with a seat reservation fee?? Or perhaps it is still too early to reserve a seat for TGV, I saw many won’t available until 90 days or 60 days before the travel date, only Eurostar allows reservations 6 months in advance, which I was able to complete it without problems last night. Thanks so much
My wife and I have purchased the Eurail Global Flexi First class pass. And because of the excellent guidance on this forum, I was able to make my reservations on the OBB app, except for two connections, which I was told I need to wait until 60 days before departure to make the reservations (per the agent when I called SBB). So, when the due date arrived (-60 days), I tried to make the reservations and am failing to do so. I am wondering if anyone else is having this issue. Here are the two journeys I am trying to make:Saturday, 23rd March 2024 morning: Zurich HB to Zermatt. The connection is thru Visp and the first train is an IC train and per the SBB agent, I can make reservations on IC trains, but not on Regional Trains. But, when I try the first segment (InterCity 1304 @7:16AM), and select “Seat Reservation Only”, the SBB app says “Unfortunately, we cannot offer you a reservation for this connection”. I called SBB and the agent was confused as he was seeing the same at his end. He s

Hi allWe are looking at buying 4 Interrail passes to travel in the summer as a family.I have some questions in regards to reservations:How do we best make them on trains to ensure we are sat together? In particular we are looking at a couple of sleeper trains and need to book 2 x double sleepers so obviously need to be together as two pairs for that? In order to create a ticket on the app do we have to have a reservation linked to it somehow or can we just add the journeys/trips and do the reservation separately and show that in conjunction with the QR code the app generates?Thank you
