Get ready to travel

The map on the Eurail site shows no connection between Madrid and Cordoba.  When I use the Plan your Journey section of the Eurail site, Cordoba is not selectable as a destination.  But I am able to get a price for Madrid → Cordoba on the Eurail site.   Can someone help me explain how this works? Thanks,Kathryn

hello! i have a question about my pass. i have a global pass for 7 travel days in a month.i planned to start the trip on the 1 january 2024 and i already added all the trains i have to take to “my travel”; i was just wondering when i have to add a travel document to actually activate the pass because i don’t know if it actually have some kind of  “expire date” or else.please help me :)

Hi,i have a global pass for 4 days within a month. I travel from Amsterdam to Salzburg (and back of couse). I travel on 4 different days. I have 3 outbound/inbound days for the Netherlands. What about the 4th day that i travel in the Netherlands? If i book a 4th journey, e.g. from Salzburg to Amsterdam, can i book it uninterrupted or just untill Emmerich in Germany? What’s is the best policy?Thanks, Jan

Every combination from Regensburg to Nimes has at least one leg that is not reservable. Most common is Brussels to Nimes or Lyon to Nimes...also Stuttgart to Strasbourg. I have checked out into February and find the same result. Hard to imagine every train is full completely.

Hello. I am a first-time traveler in Europe. I booked reservations ahead of time. However, when I looked at the timetable for my first trip tomorrow, I noticed that there is a ride with the same schedule and seat reservation requirements. But the train names are different. Will this be a problem when I present my printed ticket?

Hey! I’m looking into buying the Global Pass for travel from the UK to and around Switzerland. I downloaded the Rail Planner app from the Apple App Store where I know passes are stored.But I’m hesitant to buy one because the reviews of the app are almost all negative, with people complaining about it not working properly, not being able to show their pass on trains, having to put in their journeys over & over etc.The most recent review does say the app has been updated to a good standard, but I can’t just ignore all the bad ones.So for those of you that have used it, is it reliable enough to use? Or should I perhaps be looking at the (more expensive) Swiss Travel Pass? The last thing I want is to be unable to show I’ve paid for my trips and have to pay again!

Hello!I need to get a seat reservation for the Puertollano to Badajoz train, but when I called the infoline, the person there told me it’s not possible to book two trains with the change, but I also booked two separate trains right afterwards so why was that not the option?I got the reservations for the rest of my trains in Spain, but not this one. They suggested I just go to the station upon arrival to Puertollano and ask for it there.Does anyone know why this is the case? Should I call them again and ask for just a reservation for that one train? To my knowledge regional trains in Spain do not even require a mandatory reservation, so that only adds to the confusion...

Dear Sir/madami am planning to go to Budapest from Wien hbf on 26 Dec 2023. I want to ask the time schedule for Wien to Budapest. I can only search for two trains in eurail app .just would like to like if it is true ?

Is this included as part of interail pass if I travel from Zurich to flims as chur to flims is by bus but can be booked in sbb website.  thanks

Hello All!  Looking for some help / to have my anxiety alleviated! Have purchased a Eurail for 2 people to travel across Europe. I’ve managed to book as far as Vienna, but from there, almost all trains are giving me the ‘prices unavailable’ error. This is the specific route:  Vienna - Bucharest: 3rd Jan 2024Bucharest - Istanbul: 7th Jan 2024Istanbul - Ankara: 14th Jan 2024. I’m particularly concerned about the Vienna - Bucharest leg as we’d love to get a Night train (the Dacia 347) but that requires a reservation. I’ve tried on OBB as well as the Romanian carrier’s website but both show ‘tickets not available’ or similar.  I understand the December 10th schedule change makes ticket bookings open far later than normal, but most of my research (as well as the OBB website) says night trains/long distance routes should have become available by mid-October.  I feel like it’s safe to assume the schedule hasn’t been released yet and to just keep checking. Im planning on going from Gent to Amsterdam on train. I have the global pass. The journey i chose does not need obligatory seat reservation. But i still want to make one. The problem is i cant find which of the railway companies is the one that operates this trip in order to go to their website and make the reservation.The journey is on the 6th of january departing at 8:27.Thanks

Is the cable car from Lauterbrunnen to Grütschalp and the narrow-gauge train to Mürren covered by a flexi pass?

I have never used the Eurail before.  I already have my reservations for the required trains in advance.  But for normal trains, I’m not sure what train I want in advance, can I just show up at the train terminal and add the train to my pass that morning, or do they get overbooked and I’ll find myself unable to board unless I schedule them days out?  This is regarding non-reservation trains.

I added journeys to my trip on 19 and 24 January 2024.can I already add the journeys to my pass so that I can see the barcode already?Or how can inshore the barcode by inspection?

Im planning to travel from amsterdam to prague. I want to take first a sleeper train from amsterdam to berlin and then from berlin to prague a normal train. I depart the 6th from amsterdam and arrive the 7th in berlin. My question is does the train from berlin to prague count as another travel day?Thanks.

I booked all our Euro Rail tickets through Euro rail, I got a notification that the one we had booked from Salzburg to Venice has changed, but there is no where on my existing tickets to be able to change it. Do they automatically put you on the next best one? It doesn’t seem that they assigned us to another train or bus. I’ve send some messages and hope to hear back. But if I go out to rebook, it costs me. 

Im looking to make a seat reservation on a sleeper train for me and 6 friends. We all have the global pass. I think that because we are seven people im not able to make the reservation directly from the website. Is there any solution to do this directly from eurail or do i have to go to another website. If so which one? Thanks.

If I purchase a 4 days of travel global pass and travel from Manchester to London on a Thursday evening and then London to Paris on the Friday morning is that ok or does my trip leaving my country have to all be on the same day? I am trying to arrive in Geneva by mid afternoon on a Friday and so need to take the early morning Eurostar to do this 

We are starting our journey toward home on a night train. The train leaves at 23:45 and arrives at Munchen at 9:22, after which we still need to take 2 trains to get home (munchen-hamburg and hamburg-copenhagen). My question is if due to the first night train arriving just before midnight means that we need to use 2 travel days to reach home. We only have 1 travel day left on the ticket, so help would be appreciated.

Just boarded a train for my first trip from Paris to Lyon. Was advised by the website that I should activate my pass just before boarding my first train. Proceed through the gate to be told it needs to be activated 1 hour beforehand and that I had to pay 50 euros to be able to board the train. The train officer was extremely rude at the time and said I should have read the T&C's...

Was anyone else affected by the curtailed service of the Night Jet sleeper 40490 from Vienna to Amsterdam on the 23rd October 2023 leaving at 20:11pm the train was stopped in Passau by police searching for someone and we were told by the conductor to leave the train at Numermburg as the train would be delayed by at least four hours and we would then miss our onward connection from Amsterdam
