I’m arriving from the Philippines and will be activating my 3-month Eurail pass on Sat. Sept 30 when I arrive. I was planning on taking Thameslink to Finsbury Park Station using the pass, but I am encountering conflicting information from multiple sources that is made more complicated by a strike and “Planned Industrial Action!” on Sept. 30. The Eurail site is showing “EXP” is available from Gatwick to Finsbury. I think “EXP” is the Thameslink, but I’m not sure as Google Maps shows Thameslink and Gatwick Express are different. Google is showing no Thameslink service on this route on Sept 30. National Railway is still selling tickets for this route, but it is via Southern Services to Victoria and then tube to Finsbury (so I take it the Thameslink is not operational on this route Sep 30?). I think I can use the Eurail pass on Southern service from Gatwick to Victoria, but Eurail site is showing “EXP” connects Victoria and Gatwick. This is all very confusing and before I “wing it”
Hello community !I have one outbound/inbound left on my global pass and I would like to make a single-day trip to The Netherlands from Belgium (my home country) and come back on the same day. All using my last travel day on my pass.Is that possible ?Thanks a lot !Denis
Im looking at the trip from Munich to the Zugspitze railway area.I have seen the winter ticket allows a return trip to from Munich for around 70 eurosIs the rail portion from Munich covered on a Eurail pass at all allowing me to only buy a Zugspitze ticket to go up and down using all 3 rail systems which im thinking would be slightly cheaper or is the whole journey not covered at all meaning i have to buy the whole Zugspitze rail journey separately
Having so much trouble working out the italian side of things ItineraryRome to Pisa 7th january early morningsame day Pisa to Florence mid afternoonFlorence to venice 8th Jan mid morningWe will be 3 pass holders and two wont be.do te non pass holders also pay reservations or just get a tickettrying to work out what trains run where because there are so many different types and with Eurail passes some cover and some don't. and Reservations are compulsory mainly on the ones we need as we need faster connections and on some they don't however those are slow trainsWhy is there bno system considering this has been a global pass forever almost that we can enter in our train timetable between certain destinations and it tells us what trains are available on those routes and what reservations cost and are compulsory on those routes.Surely im missing something surely there must be some kind of application you can enter in your whole train itinerary and it tells you all the possible connections
Hey, I was trying to reserve seats for my upcoming France trip. To do so the rail planner app always transfers me to the eurail website. The problem is: The website wants me to login with „the account I used to purchaisr the pass“. Bit I didn’t buy the pass, I won the „Interrail German French“ pass. So I have no account connected to that pass. If I create a new account with the email address I got the pass send to, the website tells me „no pass connected“ and theres no possibility to connect my app or my pass to it. It also says that it’s not possible to get reservations without a valid pass connected. Does anyone know what I did wrong and how to go from here? I‘m getting a little bit desperate since the trip is very spontaneous and starts soon.
I have eurail global pass and I am trying to reserve seat but it shows not available on eurail website. I tried DB webiste to book seat only and it was showing that seats are unavailable. But, when I tried to book tickets through DB website it says seats are available. How do I reserve seats for my trip ? Sorry, I am new and I did not know that I had to reserve seats few months in advance. Looking forward for your suggestion.
I’ve got a 5 Day within a month Interrail Global Pass and so has my mum. I’m trying to reserve seats for us on the Hamburg to Stockholm 22:01-09:56 train on the 11th of October. Everything I have read tells me to not use the eurail/interrail website to book reservations as they are normally less on the train company’s website. So I looked at sj.se and put in the passes for us both and have the following options:Seat: 330SEK (£24.60)Couchette: 770SEK (£57.40)Sleeping compartment: 1,660SEK (£123.74)Whole compartment: 1,654SEK (123.29) When I look at the Interrail.eu website I get the following:Seat: £11.36Couchette: £22.36Sleeper (2 in a 3 bed I think?): £45.52Is there a reason that the interrail prices are so much less? Somewhere I read that it was doubled on checkout and it was for one person only but then I removed one of us and the prices halved. Is there a catch I’m not understanding with the interrail website? I obviously would prefer to pay less and reserve through there but I don
HI :) Help needed…I’m trying to get a reservation on the connection Paris St.Lazare - Cherbourg for 4 persons, but interrail tells me “prices are unavailable” (as for my understanding meaning the interrail contingency is full). Is there another way to find a reservation or are we just out of luck?We need to catch the ferry, so we’re not overly flexible…Any help appreciated! :)Regards,Sandra
When booking with a global pass for a set amount of times , i see on the dusseldorf to paris Thalys train on Dec 26th that there are 3 different options .standard comfort and premium.I'm assuming the global passes only allow us to book in the standard tickets right.IM also wondering what tickets are we needing to buy compulsory reservations on.Im doing a comparison with my short itinerary as to whether its necessary to only buy single tickets other than a global pass with compulsory reservations. here is my itinerary belowthere are 3 people me and 2 daughters both aged 23/25Dusseldorf to paris 26th Dec 4.17 pmParis to London 29th Dec around 8amLondon to manchester same dayRome to pisa then to florence same day 7th JanFlorence to venice 8th jan mid morningMunich to Zugspitze ireturn , think is a special ticket paid outside the passMunich to Dusseldorf 14th janDusseldorf to amsterdam return out on 15th jan back on 16thI have worked out that the costs are almost similar however im now
I would need to take tram from zurich main station (zurich HB) to Wipkingerplatz station, can I use eurail pass or I need to by the tram icket
My sweetheart and I are visiting Germany and Italy in September/October. Should we purchase a 3 day Eurail pass from DB to travel from Frankfurt to Munich on the 21st and then Munich to Venice on the 23rd or buy individual tickets? I’ve heard you can buy a “Twin Pass” to save money also. I haven’t seen them on the DB site though. Whats the best way….Will we need to make seat reservations for the Venice trip on TrenItalia?Any advice is appreciated...Thank youNorman
on page with how to book seat reservations on your train journey, it says:“When does this service run?not every day, 9. Oct until 8. Dec 2023; not 13., 14., 21. Oct, 2., 3., 10. Nov” - what is meant by this!? - which part of which service??
I have activated two passes on my phone to go to Berlin, one for me, one for my brother. When we return from our trip he then wants to use his pass on his own device. Is it straightforward to do this please? Steve, Nottingham
I have a pass for 4 days of travel in 1 month. My trips are Amsterdam-Paris, Paris-London, and a few others in between TBD. The two trips I do have saved say “seat reservation required 32€” and “seat reservation required 34€”. Now, last year when I asked a train attendant a question about my train’s arrival, they said I shouldn’t have paid extra for seats after buying the pass. When I look on the app under “My Pass” it says under the trips saved “All set! Show your ticket during inspection.” My question is, do I HAVE to pay extra for a seat reservation after buying the pass? Has anyone just showed up and all has been just fine? Thanks in advance!!
Hey, Planning to take an ICE back to germany. The train arrives past midnight in Berlin. Do I need to keep one travel day for the the journey taking place after midnight ? I just read online about rules for nightlines Grateful for any Auswers,Cheers,Leonard
Hello Is there a eurail pass available for 1 day(Saturday) in Switzerland. I wish to travel from Geneva.
I won the German France Freindship Pass and i want to start in the next days.I live in Essen Germany. My Problem is that i am not really able to get to Paris. There is a train from Koeln HBF to Paris Nord it is the THA 9448 but i can not book it because it is not in the pass included. There are some rides with a stop in Belgium but i guess Belgium is not in the pass. But i can add the ride from Koeln HBF to Bruxelle-Midi for some reason. It is possible to take the TGV from Frankfurt HBF but there is no way to get to Frankfurt from Essen with the Pass or is it possible to make ride in the own country(Germany) just to get the right ride to France.
Heey, kan dit ook met de Interrail pass? Of zitten er dan extra kosten aan verbonden?
Hi guys,I see from previous posts that experts don’t recommend activating the pass until first day of travel. Me and my wife already activated and put the day of validity starting as our first day of travel.I can’t find in the app how to de-activate. Does it really matter if I’ve put the date of validity as our first travel day anyway? I still have until midnight the day before to change right? Please let me know how to de-activate in case I need to.Thanks!
For your information: The upgrade to Plus is temporarily free, meaning that mobile passes bought with the free plus upgrade are fully refundable. Normally, the plus upgrade is not refundable, so this is a good opportunity if you are not yet 100% sure of your plans (personally find the statement "100% refund" to be confusing)
Hallo,über welchen Link kann man am günstigsten Sitzplatzreservierung in Italien ohne Aufpreis machen.Verona-Venedig z.B.
Good morning all, I am planning a trip through Romania this summer and I wanted to book seat reservations via the official website https://www.cfrcalatori.ro/en/. Do you know if that is possible to book both domestic and international trains with Interrail pass via Romanian railways official website? It does not seem possible to do so via Interrail website, and I can't find how to mention I possess an Interrail pass when trying to book on Romanian railways official website. Many thanks to all for the answers you could provide!Have a good day. Marie

Why have the prices for a global pass gone up so much since February?
Hello there,I’m arriving in London and I need to get to Liverpool. I was planning on using my Eurail Global Pass (which I will be using for visiting other countries). The problem is that the only option recommended is a train from London to Liverpool of Avanti West Coast, and I don’t understand if my Eurail Global pass includes this franchise. Is this true? If not, how can I benefit from the pass within London and Liverpool, since I will be travelling a lot between these two cities? Thank you so much.
