My family and I are taking our very first International Trip to Denmark and Sweden this year. We arrive on December 21 and need to go straight to Gothenburg, Sweden for our reservation at Liseberg Hotel. Where do we go for the train once we land in Copenhagen Airport? How far in advance can we book?
Hi All, I am travelling from Brussels to Paris tonight and I didn’t realise that a seat reservation is required. I thought Eurorail pass holders doesn’t require reservations. Now I got to know that all the seats are fully booked. Is it possible for me to travel without reservation? The officer told me that I have to take another ticket for travel by standing which cost 134£ per person. How can i use my eurrail pass for this trip?

I see your introduction how to connect trip to pass but I don’t see button Save JORNEY. What should I do ? natalie
The information on the Eurail website says that you need to print emailed reservations. I won’t have a printer with me while traveling. Will I be able just to show the email instead of printing it?I’m new to the forum, so have been trying to catch up on the topics concerning other travelers. I was disappointed to see that experienced travelers recommend using other sites to make reservations. I was hoping that Eurail would be my “one stop shop”.
Hi, everyoneUnforeseen train delays: What are my rights as a Eurail pass holder?"I've been experiencing frequent train delays during my Eurail journey, which has caused disruptions to my travel plans. I'm seeking advice on my rights as a Eurail pass holder and how to navigate these situations effectively.
I am planning an Interrail trip in 2022. I will buy a senior Global pass and intend to visit several large cities in Europe. My question is to help me with my budgetting for the trip. Please could someone tell me if a first class senior global interrail pass entitles the holder to complimentary food on the trains and or eurostar- perhaps on some trains and not on others? Or how to find this out. with thanks
I am traveling from Florence to Rome airport via Roma Termini. I have a business class Eurail pass and business class seat reservation from Florence to Roma Termini on Train Frecciarossa 9391 tomorrow. I will connect to RV4624 at 13:20 in Rome to Rome Airport Fiumicino. My Eurail account says I am ready to board but I do not know if I have a seat reserved on this leg. Please let me know.
I’ll be traveling from Zurich to Munich via rail soon, and I was wondering if I could use my Swiss GA Travelcard along with a Eurail Germany Rail Pass to complete my journey? The website says travel is only covered to Basel with the Eurail Germany Rail Pass, but could I use my GA Travelcard to cover the travel in Switzerland then use the Eurail Germany Pass to cover the border crossing and Germany travel? Thanks in advance
Having just bought a pass for the first time, I tried to find a journey within my home country for the first day of my trip but it said no trains found. There are loads of trains from my town to London where I want to pick up the Eurostar, found the latter no problem. So why is it not showing trains to London, as I’m entitled to one journey in my home country at each end of the trip? And would I be able to use the pass on a train on that route anyway? Thanks for any help.
We are a family of four, two children aged 8 and 11 and two adults. We wanted to take an Interrail trip, excited about traveling by train and trusting that it would be pleasant and fun. How wrong we were! Our experience has been horrible. We have taken 8 trains and we have had delays in 5! the shortest 45 minutes, the longest 160! Because of this we have lost the link with the following trains, so we lost the seat reservations we had in first class. Result: on one occasion we had to travel in the train bar, on another we had to spend the night (9 hours!) in a seat despite having reserved beds. I insist: with two small children. If you don't trust our words, take a look at Interrail's compensation policy: they do not compensate any delay of less than 60 minutes. Because? obvious: because there are so many, they would lose money. And the biggest delays equally at ridiculous prices. But that is not all! Changes in train schedules without prior notice, mistreatment by train and station sta
Hi, this may be a silly question but I will be taking a train with my pass from Amsterdam to Lille in October. My train from Amsterdam to Bruxelles doesn't require a seat resveration nor is one available to purchase, but the connecting train from Bruxelles to Lille does require one. If I buy the seat reservation for the connecting train how do I ensure the first train won't be fully booked that day ? And what happens if I pay for the reservation and then the first train is all booked that day?
HelloWanting to book a Eurrail pass but not sure whether the trains go from Athens to Budapest. It looks as if they do on the map, can anyone confirm this though?
HelloI cant seem to find tickets for our eurail pass from Sorrento to Pompei. Does the train not travel from Sorrento? Thanks!
I booked a seat on the NJ 468 for the night train from Vienna to Paris. I hold a Global Pass second class pass and was not guided to the seat type at the time of booking and paid an additional $23.44 to reserve a seat. Are these seats sleep cabins? Or is it another type of seat?
Hello, we were recently on a train that was delayed 2 hours.original route was marseille → Montpellier → Barcelona, with all trains being run by SNCFDue to the delay, we were instructed to get off af Narbonne, where we were to wait for the next train to Barcelona.the next train that came was a Renfe train, where the inspector didn’t let us on because we have SNCF tickets. We are now waiting an extra 2 hours for the next SNCF train to take us to Barcelona, where we will arrive 5 hours later than scheduled.Would it have been possible to get our tickets transferred to Renfe tickets? Or do they not transfer across companies. We just decided to wait and now feel that we have missed out on arriving slightly closer to our scheduled time. thanks for any help
I have reservations on TGV 9226 Zurich-Paris. we are in first class and would like to change the location of our seats (remaining in first class) so we are in the same aisle. I have an online Global pass. We are traveling in September.
Planning a 2-person (me and my wife), 32-day, multi-country EU visit with much train travel. After comparing costs, we have decided to buy 2 Eurail flexipasses. QUESTION - need feedback on the following options:1). put both passes on one smart phone?2). use two phones; one pass on each phone?
I am currently on my Interrail and arrived in Ljubljana within the hour. I planned this trip months ago and had worked out connections to my hotel. I had set up a new Trip though and the journeys I searched are no longer listed. I planned to just reenter them as I travelled, covering for delays etc. I just went to set up a journey from Ljubljana to Ljubljana Stegne and Rail Planner says there are no routes.I spoke to a lady in the ticket office and she says I can't use Interrail. She gave me a local 3 day ticket for now. Sadly, she gave me a ticket for 19th because I said I was leaving Ljubljana on 20th. Something list in translation, I think.I figured I'm happy to pay for local trains but I checked a train I had planned from Ljubljana to Lake Bled and I get the same. The Interrail website doesn't mention Slovenian trains being excluded. Will I just need to check the Slovenian trains website and add trains manually? Thanks, in advance.
Good afternoon, I am hoping to book an Interrail trip next year, and wanted to clarify a few things. My rough itinerary is as follows: Day 1: York-London St Pancras London St Pancras-Vienna (depart early morning from London, arrive late evening Vienna)Days 2 and 3 spend in Vienna, depart late evening Day 3 (catch the sleeper train to Berlin)Day 4 and 5: BerlinDay 6: Berlin-London St Pancras-York I first of all wanted to enquire to the type of pass I might need, as although I will be travelling for 6 days total, I will not actually be on board trains for all of those days?I will also be on board a sleeper train for one of those days, will this mean using two days of travel, or just the one day from when I board the train?Does the Interrail pass cover journeys within my host country (ie York to London), or will I have to purchase a return journey for this in conjunction with my Interrail pass? And if the Interrail pass does cover host country use, will I only need to use a single day fo
comment planifier mon voyage de Lyon pour faire le tour de la Suisse ?
Hi, I’ll be travelling in Switzerland in January 2024 and am wondering whether I will get the 25% discount for having a Eurail pass on the Jungfrau network if I buy their 3 day pass. I’m planning to go all over the region on the various trains and cable cars. I’ll have the Eurail Global Pass.
Hi everyone ! :)I’m about to begin my travel to Germany, and at the moment of reserving trains on the app “Rail Planner”, I’m seeing that I can also reserve trains from Hamburg (Germany) to Copenhagen (Danemark) for example. (but also to Italy, to Croatia, ...) So here’s my questions :First, is it really possible to travel outside of Germany with this pass ? If yes, is it only with german trains ? Because on the app, it seems like I could also travel inside Danemark. If yes, will it count as one “Outbound/Inbound” travel ? (because I still have to return to France after !)Thanks and have great trips !!
