Hello all! When I booked my train trips I was a complete rookie and didn’t know you could set transfer times. When we leave Nice and arrive in Marseille St Charles we have 17 minutes to switch trains going to Nimes. In Nimes we have 11 minutes to switch trains going to Barcelona. Is this possible? We are not familiar with these specific train stations. These are paid reservations but tickets are Eurail passes and can be changed. I am considering booking new reservations? Any advice would be appreciated. Cheers, Brian
Hello everyone, I am planning to have my first Europe trip next month using the Global Pass. One of my journey is from Chur to Kilchberg Ch in Switzerland. There is supposed to be a transfer in Thalwil. However, the second leg from Thalwil to Kilchberg last only for 4 minutes. In case the Ticket Inspector has not been checking my ticket during this journey, what should I do then? Is it ok if I left the ticket unchecked? Many thanks in advance...
There are two of us traveling so I bought 2 passes. I put both passes on my phone’s app. Do I have to duplicate the trip in order to add her pass? It won’t let me add both passes to the single trip.
My trip starts tomorrow from Horley in Surrey , connecting to Eurostar at St Pancras, can I use the pass to get to my departure location at St Pancras? Thank you
My Eurostar was delayed and so I missed the connection in Brussels to go to Köln. I got a HTONAT endorsement form the Eurostar and wanted to get on the next train (to make my connection to Berlin), but the staff on the Thalys insisted that I had to pay for a reservation to go on it, even though no reservation would have been needed to take the earlier ICE had I not been delayed. Is this correct?
I'm looking at a train from Luxembourg to Stuttgart. There is one that leaves Luxembourg at 1124am and has 2 stops, the trip between Luxembourg to Strasbourg and from Strasbourg to Karlsruhe show reservations required do I pay for both trains in Luxembourg or do I have to buy the reservations at both Luxembourg and Strasbourg.
Dear community, I am planning to travel from Brussels to Innsbruck and return. Would the German Rail Pass be valid on this trip? I am confused by reading this condition on the website “You cannot use the German Rail Pass to travel to or from Germany or any of the included destinations outside of Germany. This Pass is only valid for travel with participating train, ferry and public transport companies in Germany and some participating international trains.” https://www.interrail.eu/en/interrail-passes/one-country-pass/german-rail-pass . Does anyone have any experience with this kind of trip? I’m especially worried the Pass is only valid in one direction of the trip (only trips departing from Germany going to Brussels/Innsbruck, and not the other way around). Thank you for your help!
Hi, I am trying to book seat reservations for routes internal to France. They are on TGV Inoui. Every time I try on Aural it says there has been an error and they will be removed from my cart. I went to the SCNF website, made an account and found the route, but cannot find out how to connect it to Eurail so am getting ridiculous prices as it is the cost of the full ticket, rather than just the seat reservation. How can I book the seat reservation online? Thanks!
I have a 2nd class Europass. My wife and 4yr kid got cheaper tickets in 1st class so we booked them. Is there any way we can travel together? we all have got our seat reservations.I am open to paying fee for my upgrade orthem being allowed to travel in 2nd class? Can someone suggest some possibilities?
I am trying booking a ticket from Prague to Budapest and it only let me buy print tickets to send to my house, why?, I would like buy a e-ticket, how I can do it?
I have booked a number of reservations but they do not appear in the My Trip section. Surely they should be in there? No travel days appear to have been used. What havent i got right?
I’m traveling from Barcelona to Seville on Nov 30, 2023 and I’m pleased to see that now I can book AVE trains on the Eurail site. This journey can be completed with a leg from Barcelona to Madrid and then from Madrid to Seville, which is two separate journeys. A few weeks I noticed that an AVE 3940 train runs at 7:32 direct from Barcelona to Seville, but the available dates do not coincide with AVE trains for the 2-leg journey. A few weeks ago, the direct seemed to be available 45 days from the present date, but now it looks like it may have been discontinued after mid-October. I don’t mind paying double, but it would be nice to do the journey on a direct train rather than transfer at Atocha. I’m afraid I may wait for the direct train to be available on my date to no avail. Any insight on this would be appreciated. Thank you!
Hello,I’m looking to prepare my trip with the Germany-France pass but i have a question. I live in France (Nantes) so in order to go to Stuttgart I need to take a train Nantes-Strasbourg and another one Strasbourg-Stuttgart. I was wondering if the nantes-Strasboug ticket (except reservation) is included in the pass like the Strasbourg-Stuttgart is, or do I have to fully pay for it?
Im planning to buy 2 days Eurail France pass in Sep month. To travel from CDG Airport to Gare de Grenoble and return. Once i made a payment, where should i reserve a seat? in mobile app or at nearest train station(in paper format) ? Also for local trains like RER and Metro, seat reservation is required?
Dear All,I am travelling back from Nice on Saturday evening, leaving at 21:37, with a longish stopover in Marseille - arrive 00:13 & depart at 06:33 travelling to Lille Europe where I am taking the Eurostar to London; I have reserved seats. My question is this though: is this one journey, using my pass, or more? Many thanks, John
Dear All,I have a lengthy night stopover in Marseille - arrive 00:13 & depart 06:33. It seems a very short time to book a room in a hotel so what are people’s thoughts on staying in the station or will the train I arrived on be the same that I leave on so I can stay on it?Thanks, John
Hello , I have eurail pass and need to buy Salzburg city card . I saw that passes holders entitle get 10% on the card . How to do that , any code ? Thank you Natalie bunimovich
Hi !As an Indian citizen living in Sweden with a work permit, along with my husband, we are planning a week-long trip to Germany in December. We intend to visit two or maybe three cities during our stay. Can anyone provide guidance on whether we should opt for a Eurail pass or an Interrail pass for our travels in Germany? Any help will be appreciated !Thanks in advance!
Hello everyone! We are trying to book a bed reservation on the night train from Karlsruhe HBF to Berlin HBF, dated on the 17th of September (departing at 23:06 and arriving at 7:20). From the Interrail App, I can only book regular seats, while the app itself did show that there were more options (single bed, bed in a dormitory, etc...). In the reservation section, all these options disappear. How can I book a bed reservation if the system doesn’t show them?Thank you for your help
Hi! So, I was planning on traveling through the Balkans in June, starting off in Romania (fairly easy to access country) and was wishing to go from there to Belgrade (Serbia) and then Sarajevo (Bosnia) before maybe going into Croatia. Turns out though, that getting from anywhere in Romania to Belgrade is impossible - the Interrail timetables doesn't even recognize Belgrade as a location, which is odd.Looking into other Serbian cities, although they ARE listed, this image comes up with every single city connection. On the other hand, in the section about Serbia (https://www.eurail.com/en/get-inspired/top-destinations/serbia-train) on the interrail webpage it talks about several connections from places like Zurich or Bucharest. So, what is the deal? I hear it's impossible to cross over from Romania directly right now, but even if I get a bus to cross the border, how come serbian trains aren't even showing up?Sorry, I know the questions is kinda specific. Any sort of help is welcome. :)
First, the responses I’ve received on this platform have been great and have resolved several seat reservation issues. So thank you. I’m finishing up reservations on my 3 month European excursion and need to book Bordeaux-St. Jean to Paris Montparnasse for the morning of Dec. 13, 2023. Eurail site has and the travel b Europe site, which I think is SNCF, have slots until Dec. 9, and it’s been that way for weeks. I really want to proceed with another connection that evening, but before I book I need to confirm this Bordeaux to Paris leg. I think I saw a phone number, but I’m in Southeast Asia and have Skype, so I don’t know if it will work. Is there an alternative to the methods I’ve been trying (Eurail/Travel b Europe)?
Why is there a difference between the Interrail app and site? I want to take a train from krakow to Budapest, but the app shows: reservation needed. If I go to the interrail site it shows: you are ready to board for the same train.. Is a reservation needed for this trip?
I am an American student studying in Luxembourg for about 5 months in the Spring of 2024. I hope to be able to live in a city other than Luxembourg as I only need to be there 2 days out of the week for class. Paris would be amazing as it allows me to be so close to a major terminal. I know nothing about the train system and how it works in Europe. If I live in a city, for this example let’s say Paris, would it be possible to commute there two days of the week with a Eurail unlimited pass? Do they run often enough for me to catch one twice a day for these two days? Am I going to drown myself in reservation fees or is it similar to NYC subway’s “swipe your card, hop on, and then hop off” system? I also will be extensively travelling with the pass on days I do not have class, using it atleast twice per day, possibly more depending on where I end up. How easy is it to hop on a train and end up in a different country / how much in advance do I have to reserve them (show up to the station or
Meine Tochter hat ihr Ticket aktiviert, dann keine Reservierung bekommen. Gibt es irgendeine Chance, ein aktiviertes Ticket zurückzugeben?
Hello! I’m trying to book a reservation on a night train from Vienna to Paris (NightJet 468) for the 9th of November, but for some reason, there are no offers available for most of November at all, although there’s at least something for the whole of October.Am I too early? As far as I know, ÖBB usually opens reservations up to 90 days ahead, but maybe this train or this time is an exception. I'm worried that all of November is sold out already, though that seems quite unlikely. Thanks to anyone ready to help out in advance!
