Hi everyone, i just got back from my very first Interrail trip, and i would like to thank everyone here who tirelessly answer all queries. It feels daunting at first, but once i activated the pass on my first travel day everything became easy! (Well, i took the easy routes, London- Rotterdam- Amsterdam- Germany- Switzerland) I had the 7day Global Pass, use the 1st day as my outbound and used the last 4 (out 7) train hopping in Cities and towns of Switzerland instead of buying Swiss Pass. I will definitely Interrail again to explore the other parts of Europe!! Thank you once again for all your quick assistance!

Hi EveryoneTwo of us are looking to leave Mulhouse on the morning of 14 September to go down to Pescara in Italy - allowing for an overnight stop on the way.I had originally planned to work out a route across Switzerland closer to the time but with the various delays being mentioned in Switzerland, I’m wondering if it would be a good idea to make some seat reservations now.OBB isn’t currently letting me book reservations on the 11:03dep from Basel SBB on the Eurocity 151 to Milano.Any thoughts on why this might be?I did think about going via the Bernina Express route and staying in Tirano before continuing to Pescara but thought I’d take a quicker route this time. Happy to revert to this route though if need be. Any thoughts gratefully received!

Travaelling to Malta next year and want to know what's included in 10 day deal.  Is Naples the furthest south Eurail goes?

Dear All,Apologies first of all for the seemingly endless questions!If I decide to travel on a Friday from Lille to Nice via Paris where I intend to get a night train will this mean two journeys?  The first train I will take will be from Lille to Paris and the second train - a night one - from Paris to Nice.  The two journeys will not be in excess of 24 hours but will be over two days or two parts of days.I hope this makes sense and I am grateful for any replies received.Many thanks & kind regards, John

Hello , I’m non European citizen so I m getting eurail Global pass to have trips Zurich to Zermatt and back to Zurich . Then Zurich to Vienna. That will be night  SBB train leaving at 21:40 . Do I need to book couchette or not ? If yes then how ? thank you Natalie 

So I'm planning to travel to Luxembourg on the 21st of December for a couple of weeks. During these days I would like to go to Amsterdam, Brussels, and Paris, I cannot find any trains during December, where can I find the schedule for the trains, any tips? We're a family of 4, you think it would be cheaper to rent a car?

Hello! please let me know about 2 destinations!In France would like to buy a ticket through Paris.For example, let's say I want to go from Bordeaux to Paris and then to Lyon on the same day.Can this be used as a one-day pass if it is on the same day?Regards,

I know I need to buy my ticket for Sofia to Istanbul at the station. I arrive to Sofia tomorrow morning and plan to get the train to Istanbul that evening. 1. What are the chances there is still availability and 2. Why doesn't the journey show on the planner anymore. The same for Bucharest to Sofia it was no longer showing 

Can you sit in the hallway if there are no more seats available? Can you get a fine? If so, how much does it cost?

We have what looks like 52 minutes to transfer trains in Bruxelles-MIDI from a THALYS train to a EUROSTAR train. There was a note that said check in closes 30 minutes before departure and to allow 45-60 minutes for passport control. The ticket looks like the below 14:08 - BRUXELLES-MIDI (Belgium) Thalys0h 35m (Eurostar -check in closes 30m before departure; allow 45-60m for passport control)14:52 -BRUXELLES-MIDI (Belgium) EurostarI think the 35 minutes in between is saying that is how long it takes to get from one train to the other...not sure, because it doesnt mention anything but the note next to it. Im worried that we will miss the connection and this is the train to Gatwick Airport to our flight out. We dont want to have any issues.Is anyone familiar with this process and able to guide me in terms of how this works? Where/how do you check in? Can this be done while I’m on the first train on some app or does it have to be done in the station?  How long does that security/passport c

I want to purchase and use a mobile Eurail Global Pass tomorrow, flex days (4). I am unable to find the answer as to buying and using the first flex day on the same day as purchase. Can anyone help?I don't want to purchase tomorrow if I can't use it. Is there a waiting period, one day before use, for example?Thanks. 

Hello all, I am very grateful for the advice. I need to travel tomorrow at short notice! Is it possible to buy a physical paper pass anywhere in Paris. A couple years ago I went to an SNCF ticket office and they said they no longer did them, however their explanation was because I had a British passport, which seemed far-fetched.I’d love a paper pass, especially as I prefer them (despite the advantages of mobile). I have a normal full-fare ticket to Paris, however I would need Interrail from there. Is there anywhere I can purchase one!Many thanks!

Dear All,I think that I am going to go for this pass as I am planning to go to 3 Rugby World Cup matches this autumn.As I can only use two journeys [days of travel] out of 7 from the UK to France and back am I obliged to use these on my first and last journey, that is journey 1 and journey 7 or can I use them for a return journey which might be journey 1 & 2 or journey 3 & 4 or journey 5 & 6?Many thanks, John

Hi, my family and I are travelling around Europe in September and October, we have purchased global pass. I was wondering when it says print at home pass, do you actually need to. We are travelling from Australia and won't have access to printer(can't bring 1 either). We have a couple of set dates in France, Germany and Austria done but we are being flexible in Italy and just looking at doing day trips from Florence but some trains are reservation. Is the email enough?Thank you

We tried to buy 2nd class seat reservations from Ourense to Madrid.Instead the clerk at the station sold us 1st class and said that 2nd class was sold out.We said we only had a 2nd class pass but they just ignored us and said everything will be fine.Is that right?

I will be travelling from Krakow to Prague on 30 Aug by IC407 overnight. I’ve bought my ticket and reservation already.. but the disembarking station is “closed”.. so does that mean I can’t get off at that station? The train company did not provide other alternative transportation… what should I do?  The same is happening for my night train from Prague to Budapest, where the 2nd and 3rd station is “closed” but the train company did not provide other alternative transportation… what should I do?

Hi we will be on a day trip from Salzburg to Hallstatt, but if using Eurail, the journey takes about 4.5 hours one way, it take 1 hour 20 mins transfer. I know that the most convenient way to travel to Hallstatt is by bus but since we bought the Eurail we plan to use it. May I ask is there any other way / train station which we can travel to with shorter travel time ? Thanks
