Hello!I know that we can have “one outbound trip to cross the border”. But I’d like that a bit better defined for my case … specifically, we live in Manchester, so can we, in one day take these trips outbound:Manchester → London (on Avanti); andLondon → BrusselsWe’ve read ‘one outbound trip’ as one overall journey not as one single ticketSo, can we outbound Manchester → Brussels, one Avanti, one Eurostar in one day as our outbound trip?
Hi, I was just trying to find a ferry route between Italy and Greece on one of the Superfast Ferries, but in the booking process there are only discount boxes for Greece Island Pass holders.Where can I find the discount for the global passes? Thank you very much for your answer
Hi there,I am trying to book a direct train from Amsterdam to London using the Eurail pass. I can see that the train stops at Rotterdam Centraal and has a half hour gap between the IC train and the Eurostar train. My concern is at the Boarding Time section, it says that check in closes at Rotterdam 30mins before the train leaves, and says to make sure you have 45-60mins for security and passport control. On the Eurail website it says there is 35mins in between but the IC arrives at 4:36PM and Eurostar leaves at 5:28PM, which is actually around 60mins. Is anyone able to explain and clarify whether it is 35mins or if it is 60mins (allowing for the passport check and all)?I have attached a screenshot of the times below.
Hi everyone, I’ve searched through the interrail website and forums, but am a little confused about how to make this work.It seems like when you activate a pass, you can only use it for a single trip? But you can make additions to that trip once it’s been activated??Here is my situation - I have a 2 month/15day pass, that I haven’t activated yet. I’m planning to travel around for a week in April (Spain and France), return home to London for a month, and then head back out around Germany/Hungary etc. to complete the rest of my pass. For planning purposes, I’ve been considering these as two seperate trips. I’m nearly done planning my route for the Spain/France trip, but hadn’t started thinking about the later one just yet. I was expecting to plan that once I returned from the first ‘leg’.Once I activate the pass for travelling in Spain, I’m concerned I won’t be able to then add the 2nd part of my trip later, even though the pass will still be valid and in-date. I don’t want to end up usi
Hello! My phone and luggage were stolen today on an overnight train from Amsterdam Centraal to Basel Switzerland. Just wondering how anyone has gone about this, did the train company look at camera footage? They said they couldn’t do anything, it happens all the time, to file a police report.
Hey there!I was planning on taking the train from Munich to Florence. Anyone here who also took this route during the construction in Innsbruck, which leads to replacement busses between Innsbruck and Brenner? How was your experience, did it work well? Does the train in Brenner wait for the busses? Thank you a lot!
I am Italian, and I'm traveling from Verona to Munich with a German pass, since there are construction works on the rail system at the border, I will need to take a substitute bus to go from Trento to Innsbruck. when I try to activate my trip it says that part of it is not included in the pass, while the bus is operated by OBB and it is, infact just a substitution of the usual Eurocity. as a result my trip is active only from Innsbruck.anyone had the same issue? How should I do?
Hi, I want to take a night train from Krakow to Prague on IC407 and I intend to make a seat reservation first. On the eurail app, it says that there is 1 transfer (IC407+ LE1248), but on the CD app, 0 transfer is needed so I can just take IC407. Can someone please kindly tell me which one is the correct train journey?
I’ve got 4 global passes on my phone and we will be traveling in September. I have set up almost all our trips on the RP but I have not activated our passes because I’m nervous about accidentally starting the clock too soon. But, I’m worried because when I look at the journeys in My Trip, I don’t see the toggle switch that is frequently referred to. Will that appear on each journey once I activate our passes?Probably a dumb question, but my nerves will really appreciate any answers from the community on this. Thanks much,John
I have a Eurail Global Pass and I’m trying to go from Barcelona to Paris on 8 August. The Rail Planner won’t let me reserve a ticket, but it says that ticket reservation is mandatory. I talked to every person I could at the Barcelona Sants station and they all said they wouldn’t deal with international trips. None of the websites I can find work either. I’ve been struggling with this all day trying every option I can.
Hi, we are a group of 6 ladies (50+) planning our European adventure and trying to decipher the rail ticketing system. Our itinerary is Amsterdam - Bruges - Paris - Strasbourg - Chur (Bernini Express) - Milan (via Tirano) - Venice. We will have a set itinerary.Looking at April/May 2024.I am so confused by all I have read with the pro’s & cons of Eurail passes versus individual tickets. Some of our concerns are limited reservations available, difficulty in booking, getting seats together etcAny advice would be gratefully received.Thank you in advance.
Newbie here: My husband and I are travelling to Europe May 2024. We think we need a 4 or 5 day global pass for our plans but would love some feedback and direction on the best way to manage the trains as we have never before had a holiday that included trains. We need to leave Lisbon by train on the 21/5/2024 to get to to Sarlat de Caneda in France by 24/5/2024. Hoping that's possible because I can't see any other option except to go via Madrid. We are 74 and 75 years old and would like to travel first class and a sleeper if there is one. We are initially travelling from Australia. We really will appreciate any help you can give us.
Hey all! I am (desperately) trying to get a seat reservation for a night train from Hamburg Hbf to Lund C tonight at 23:57, but it seems that the train is fully booked. Are there any possibilities of boarding despite this, can I get some “emergency seats” or even stand in a corner somewhere without risking a fine? I can’t get a hold of customer service at the station either. Thank you in advance, any tips are appreciated!
Is there any way I can get a refund for the unused days. I am already back in the US.
I bought a 10 day pass for 371 USD, passes include tickets for MOST trains that show up on the app, second class tickets for some. Extremely difficult, you open the app and your tickets or journeys don’t pop up and you then have to open and close it 75 times until your stuff pops up.You buy this pass thinking it is soooo convenient, then you find out there are seat reservations. What you are not told is there is a limited number of Eurail pass holder seats per train. There must be only 2 seats per train because by the time most people can book THEY ARE ALL FULL. They are full for the day and full until maybe 5 days from then, that is with SEVERAL trains a day still. Then, you have to cough up usually $300 for SEATS to your destination. The problem is you try to book seats on the website, you can’t. Other websites like Bahn.com are amazing but there are no Eurail pass holder discounts on any of them. After being in Europe for 6 weeks and experimenting with trains and sometimes taking tr
Hello everyone,We bought the Global Pass and then bought seats from London to Paris. We refunded the Global Passes but we cannot refund the seat reservations. Can we still use these tickets even though we refunded the Global Pass? Thanks for your help!
Hi all,I have a French temporary resident permit (titre de sejour) but I am a non-EU passport holder. Can I buy Eurail pass instead of interrail pass?
I'm planning to get on the calidonian Sleeper at 22.22pm on the 16th at April at my local train station in Garelochhead for the start of our interrail tour. I have paid for the room supplement, great. However as this is my First journey of the day and the Calidonian sleeper only need a ticket valid on arrival so the 17th... is the correct? Or do I just need my ticket to be valid in the app for the 16th? I also read somewhere they said to add it manually but I can't work out how. Any assistance would be very much appreciated!
Hello everyone, at the moment I don’t understand which bus rides are free for me to use and which are not. Can I add a random bus route to “My Trip” for example in Cornwall, UK? The ride is not available in the app, but could I simply add it manually? There is sometimes no train available, so I am supposed to take the bus.Thank you for your help in advance!Anna
Hi, if i have a France one country pass and choose to go to Florence, can i only pay the portion of the trip that is within Italy (because the pass covers the french portion)? Or would that not be allowed? Is it possible to see what the split would be if I wanted to travel from Lyon to Florence? ThanksRoger
Hello. :)I would like to use the Interrail pass to travel this summer.I want to go from a specific city in France to a specific city in Germany and because of my late planning, the direct trains have no more space for pass holders and I have to go through a series of trains. This is also during my outbouding travel but it’s not in my residential country anymore. I'm afraid that a delay of one train at the beginning of the day will make me miss a train at the end of the day.Since these are all trains without reservations (so no paid reservations), do I have to take them all at the same time? If I take the ticket for the late train and see that I'm going to miss it, can I change it?Thanks for any help!
Is Geneva Main Station included in France One Country pass?
Hi,We went to book seat reservations at the station but the train is booked out. Can we still get on the train and stand? Ljubjana to schwarzach st vein thanks
