Get ready to travel

We bought a global eurail pass and will be arriving at Heathrow and taking a train to Paddington on our way to Bath. I am fairly certain the Pass does not cover the Heathrow Express but does cover the Elizabeth Line. At Heathrow, how, specifically, do you validate the Eurail Global Pass to ride the Elizabeth Line? It doesn’t seem like the travel planner feature of the app includes the Elizabeth Line . Do we have to stop at a ticket window to validate the pass for this trop?

I have a plan from Barcelona to Lyon on 03 October 2023. I bought a eurail pass, but  the prices unavailable  in the online website.How can I get the ticket in the online website?Is it possible to buy a paper ticket in the station of Barcelona on the same day?

I just bought the Eurail pass and accidentally put in the wrong last name. I don’t think I’ve activated the pass yet so is it possible to edit my information through the app/website or is this something I need to take up with customer service?Thank you in advance :)

I have 4 passes associated with the 4 people who are going to travel together. In My Trip I see a person with a p and the other 3 with a c (I think it's a copy), but in the person with the p I can't add trips, because when I try, it gives me the option to add the three people with c, but not in the one with the p..., what am I doing wrong?? Why can't I see the trip in one of the people (the one with the p)?Thank you.

Hi there, My family and I are travelling on the OBB Nightjet from Brussels to Vienna tomorrow (24th). We have the OBB app showing our seat reservations and I’m assuming I don’t need to print the ticket as well; in the details it states you can just show your phone with the reservation and photo ID,  but I wanted to check if sometimes they need you to have a printed version of the ticket? Just a last minute thought/worry before we set off! Many thanks. 

Hi!I made seat reservations for the trip Krakow Glowny (Poland)-Budapest-Nyugati (Hungary) (Train Number IC 114) for the 2nd of August 2023 and Budapest-Kelenfoeld (Hungary)-Innsbruck Hbf (Austria) (train number RJX 162) for the 5th of August 2023.My paper tickets have been rejected at the destination and I need to leave in a few days.Do you have any suggestion?Are there other websites where I can make reservation with e-ticket?I found these websites:Ceske Drahy (Krakow-Budapest) OEBB (Budapest-Austria)Are they correct to obtain e-tickets?Thank you for the reply.  

hi my pass port is too old and i tought i could use my international eu id card, but when i fill in the cards number it says it doesn't match, is there some other number on the id card that i should use, and my trip is in less then a week so i can't get a new pass port in time, please help i don't know what to do!

Hi Eurail Community, I am excited for my first time Europe Trip and trying do research as much as I can. I am new to Eurail and thinking to get 5 pass in month. What do you think about my trip? is it enough ? what would be extra expensis over the pass? what should I be careful? tips for cheaper option?-20th London - Paris-20th - 23th Paris-23th Paris - Zurich-23th - 25th Zurich25th Zurich to Bernina express( taking reginal trains for cheap option) tirano to Milan25th - 26th Milan26th Milan - Venice26th -27th Venice( we were thinking night train from Venice to Budepest but we ran out dates so happy to explore somewhere close to Venice or Milan:))Thanks for in advance. If I buy the “10 days within 2 months” Eurail Global Pass, am I able to use all 10 days in one month? Or, does it split me 5 days in month one and 5 days in month two?

Hi, I have booked a night train (EN 40237) from Munich to Ljubljana on 17th Aug 2023, there was no option to choose the type or class of seat/compartment etc so i dont know if we have an actual bed.  the ticket says seats ‘centre (mitte)’ 93-94 and ‘window (fenster)’ 95-96.  Does this mean we only have a seat and not a bed?  I also dont know if we have the compartment to ourselves, im not comfortable with sharing it with 2 strangers.  Does anyone know how to find this out? many thanks

Hi, first time using our Eurail global pass. We want to go from Barcelona to Brussels. Looks like most routes go through Paris so I have even tried breaking it up but everything says “prices unavailable” or “not available on Eurail.com”. How do I reserve these seats? We are needing them for this coming Tuesday!  I’d also like to add I have also gone to the train station we will be leaving from and they also won’t book us a ticket from there to Paris. Extremely frustrating  Someone please help 

Hi,I had come up with the idea of doing a nice trip with my brother from Budapest to Helsinki, stopping in a lot of countries we have never been to. However, deepening my research in this page, I have come to understand that:there is pretty much no train from Warsaw to Helsinki, it would all be buses + ferry some countries are really pass-friendly but others are not  Our desired travel dates are from 1st to 15th Aug.  Would you be able to tell me what itinerary could I do that is train-friendly and that does not involve Germany / Italy or anything West of that, since we have visited all those countries?  I know the question is very open ended, but truly any tips will help. Have spent hours soaking info on this forum, but most of the questions I find are for Western Europe.  Thanks! 

Is  Eurail Global pass valid in OUIGO TRAIN BARCELONA - Madrid. ?

Hi all,I will be in Rome tomorrow for a couple of days and starting my rail journey through Europe. I have just activated my pass and my wife’s on my phone, is that ok or should I have activated her pass on her phone, if so how do I move it to her phone.- Next question is I have I trip saved in “My Trip” tab do I slide the Qr over now for all trips and start adding the passes or on the day of travel.- I also have read that maybe I should screen shot the QR and info for each train journey as the app is sometimes glitching?thanks 

Hello - I am looking to travel from Copenhagen Airport into Sweden.  From what I see on the Eurail website it looks like this is covered by my pass.  But in the mobile app there is no option to select the airport station when adding a trip.  I only see the city station.  How do I add this trip?  Thanks!

Does the ÖBB Reservierungsrabatt 50% discount on reservations work for Eurail passes?Does the discount work on night trains? or just the seat reservation component, not the couchette/sleeper feeDoes it work on Italian trains that can be booked on OBB website? ÖBB Reservierungsrabatt-50 % discount on seat reservations on long-distance trains. 

Urgent need reqiuredHi, I bought 5 Eurail passes for my family including kiss and elderly. I would like to go to Rotterdam on 28th July from London. When I go to Planner to search all the available trains, I found that there are two trains at 6:16 and 8:16, no seat reservations are required. Does it mean that I can just get on the train? How about the seats? Does it mean no specifics seats or all are free seats? Then I found that there are other available trains in the afternoon which charges 56 pounds for each  seat reservation. When I click to book the seats,  it says all the trains are fully booked. Can anyone give me some advice as I'm not familiar with the booking system? I'm nervous that I have a trip with kiss and elderly. 

Hello,  i have a problem. I have made reservation for the train from Venice Italy 4th of august to Nice Ville in France. I have made reservations for the train that leaves on 13:48 and arrives on 22:30. With 2 stops at milano and Ventimiglia.  when i was checking the platfoms on the OBB site this train does not come up anymore, but it is still in the railplanner app and i have the reservations. Does anyone have any experience with this?  thanks!! 

Hi,My friend purchased both mine and his interrail passes. I have logged in to mine on the app. I have created a trip and activated my pass. He has booked a few train reservations for both of us. He has since shared his trip which has the travel reservations on. I have also since found out that once I've activated my pass I can't change what trip it applies to so I can't change my pass to be on the shared trip. Will this be ok? He has screenshots of the tickets that he can print out and give to me. I wanted to check so I don't arrive and get turned away!Any help would me much appreciated.Many thanks

Hello all! I am writing With regard to an upcoming trip I have scheduled in late August. I recently purchased the Eurail 10 days of travel and have been planning my trip. I searched destinations using the planner to which I added to my trip folder. Following this I made them each one of the travel days and flicked the banner to use one of my purchased days. When I click into my pass I see the days for which I am scheduled and notice that each come with a QR code to show for the ticket.  My question is when I click on the QR code, I see under the “Journey” headline that it says for each that “Seat Reservations are Required.” I am having trouble figuring this aspect out. Do I need to do an additional step to secure my seat or is having added these to my trip as active accounts enough? I will be traveling in the later part of August and cannot wait. Please let me know at your earliest connivence!

On the 15th I reserved seats on SNBC site B.train. they are not showing up on our Eurail passes even though entered the pass numbers when I purchased the reservations. Can someone tell me why I can’t see them? And, if I print hard copies will they be accepted?

I’m planning to travel from Milan to Zermatt on September 17 to be there for an early morning reservation on The Glacier Express on the 18th. I have a Global Eurail pass and cannot make seat reservations in spite of trying many of the suggestions made. Not sure if Is this a problem I should be concerned about? Or just system glitches. I find the process quite confusing and cumbersome. My schedule is flexible so if necessary could leave Milan a couple of days earlier. any guidance much appreciated.

Moin,wenn ich aufgrund der DB meinen Anschlusszug, der nach Frankreich führt verpasse, kann ich einfach den nächsten nehmen? Weil ich hab für den Anschlusszug die Sitzplatzreservierung gekauft gehabt. Oder muss ich dann erneut Sitzplätze kaufen? wenn ja, krieg ich das wenigstens erstattet?    

Hello everyone, I realized there are many similar threads regarding the inbound/outbound topic, but none really exactly answering my question. My country of residence is Switzerland. If I want to take a night train going from Dresden (Germany) to Zurich (Switzerland), and Zurich being the final destination (no further connections on the arrival day), does that still count as an inbound journey? Or am I able to save my outbound/inbound day for another trip? (Also when I try to book this trip on the nightjet or oebb website, it always gives me a “Reservation error (NJ-Code: NJ-02, TS-Code: WBS08093...)” before the payment page! I refreshed it over two days and there are still seats available. Not sure why but I will probably have to call them, is that correct? :( ) Thank you all in advance!
