Get ready to travel

Hi, I am currently trying to book the train from Bled to Split, and I can reserve a seat from Zagreb to split, but it won’t let me do the same for Bled to Zagreb. I see that you don’t need a reservation to get from Bled to Split, but it says it’s a night train so I am a bit confused, since it is at 7am. Does the pass cover the 7am stop at bled and do I not need to reserve a seat? Or, do i just get on the train and scan in with my interrail pass? Any help would be really appreciated, Thanks guys.

Hello, I’d like to go on 4th July from Mora (Sweden) via Stockholm (taking the night train to Hamburg Hbf) and take the next connecting train to Lübeck (connecting train will be on 5th July).Will this journey show up on my Interrail pass as ONE trip? Or as 2 trips because of the connection on the following day?I can book at SJ from Mora to Hamburg with reservation fee for the couchette in advance. But it’s too early for booking the connecting trail to Lübeck at DB Regional. How should I hadle this to get most profit of my Interrail pass?Thanks for your advice.

Lucia (Italy) on June 3, 2026.Please find our trip details below for your reference. I understand that seat reservations are available from Lucerne to Lugano, and I am happy to pay for these seats. However, for the segment from Lugano to Venezia S. Lucia, the system indicates “open seating.”As we are a family of four traveling with significant luggage, I am concerned about seat availability for the Lugano to Venice portion of the journey.Could you please advise whether it is likely that we will be able to find seats together on this segment? Alternatively, should we consider booking seat reservations through another channel?Also, Is it possible to transfer between trains within 4 minutes? If we miss the connecting train, would we be allowed to take the next available train without any penal

It looks as though I may have to change a reservation that I made with Rail Europe - basically changing from a journey Milano Garibaldi to Roma Termini to a different time leaving from Milano Centrale to Roma Termini.I saw that there was an earlier posting on this site that offered the guidance:https://help.raileurope.co.uk/article/41286-exchanging-tickets#accountHowever this guidance implies that there is a button: exchange options and I cannot see that on my Rail Europe app.

I will be traveling from Belgium to Madrid by train.I would like to make my reservations before my trip because I prefer to have everything well organized, especially since I will be traveling alone (it’s my first time traveling alone 😊).For this reason, I would like to buy the Eurail Pass now and make reservations for the trains where it is required. However, I only want to activate the pass on the day of my first trip.My question is: if I make reservations in advance, will the pass be activated automatically before my actual travel date?Since these are high-demand travel dates, I want to make sure I won’t have any issues finding seats.Is it possible to make reservations and pay for them in advance without activating the pass?Thank you very much for your help!  

I have been going onto the SNCF website each day to see when it will be possible to book up my seat reservations for two journeys I will be making specifically the 17.42 from Gare de Lyon to Chambery on 14th July and the 9.42 from Chambery to Turin on 15th July.  Today for some unknown reason, having checked that the tickets were still not available, I had a look at later dates and to my amazement discovered that the tickets were available for these later dates.  There was just a black hole around the actual dates when I will be travelling.  I then discovered that 14th July is Bastille day but I assume/hope that this is just a coincidence.   Any thoughts/advice would be appreciated.

Hi everyone,I’ve purchased an Eurail Global Pass and added it to the Rail Planner app. I then made a seat reservation for an upcoming trip (paid €12), but realized afterward that I hadn’t activated the pass yet.I’d like to set this reserved trip as Day 1 of my pass validity. Does anyone know how to retroactively assign it or activate the pass starting on that date? Any tips are appreciated!Thanks! 

Using the Global pass and traveling from Hamburg to Odense. Two of the legs say “open seating.” As first time rail travelers, are we really going to be able to find seats?! Please advise. 

Bonjour je souhaite changer 2 pass pris en promo de 15 jours en 10 jours . Je me suis trompé sur la prise de commande.  J'ai essayé de prendre 2 pass 10 jours mais impossible pour modifier comme indiqué.  J'ai pris le 29 mars et on est le 30 mars et je pars le 4 Avril. Hi,Me and some friends are wanting to travel in France, Italy and Switzerland but won't know until about a month before if we can stay for 10 days or 15 days. So I wondered if we booked seats for us doing 15 days as we want to add the extra 5 days on at the end when we're in Italy. Would we be able to cancel our seat reservations for the trains in Italy and then change our eurostar seat reservations to being earlier. 

I basically purchased integral pass to travel from France to Italy and I have to pay for seat reservations, and I cannot travel with my pass from France to Italy, which is what I paid for. It’s a total scam.

European citizens can use an Interrail Pass instead, available from Interrail.eu for the same price as a Eurail Pass.”But on https://www.myinterrail.co.uk/interrail-passes/ - it’s all about Interrail passes for UK people? Thanks in advance!

Hola Comunidad, solicito su ayuda para escoger la mejor o mejores opciones de pase para mi viaje a europa en junio 2026. La ruta que tengo planeada realizar es:Llegada a Roma y pasar noches alli, luego viajar a Florencia y quedarme 3 noches, estando en florencia quiero visitar Pisa y regresar a florencia. luego de alli partir hacia Siena quedarme una noche, y luego viajar a Venecia, quedarme 2 noches alli, luego viajar de venecia hacia Milan conocer lo que alcance en medio dia y seguir mi camino hacia Suiza ciudad de Wengen alli quedarme 3 noches, luego continuar mi travesia hacia Paris, pasar 3 noches en paris, de alli viajar a Brujas y quedarme 2 noches para luego viajar a Amsterdam y quedarme dos noches y finalmente viajar en avion hasta Valencia España. Por favor que pase me recomiendan, habia pensado en comprar dos pases 1 para solo italia 4 días. y el pase global de 4 días para el resto de ciudades (Interlaken, Paris, Brujas y Amsterdam)Recibo de ustedes sus valiosos aportes. Salve a tutti, abbiamo acquistato il nostro pass Interrail (7 giorni) che vorremmo sfruttare entro la fine del 2026.A tal proposito avremmo qualche domanda da porre in merito,  dato che siamo alla nostra prima esperienza.L’idea è di sfruttare i viaggi notturni (che prenoteremo quanto prima), in modo da poter visitare le città durante il giorno per poi riprendere il treno e spostarci verso un’altra meta, tranne l’ultimo giorno che sappiamo dobbiamo sfruttare entro le 23:59. Cerco di scrivervi lo schema per aiutarvi a capire (le date sono solo di esempio):Venezia/Vienna 22/09Vienna/Varsavia 23/09Varsavia/Praga 24/09Praga/Amsterdam 25/09Vorremmo fare almeno altre 2 tappe, ma non ci è chiaro se utilizzando i treni notturni senza cambi durante il tragitto ci viene conteggiato un solo giorno di viaggio, o se dato che non pernottiamo in quasi nessuna delle città i giorni che vengono conteggiati sono maggiori.Esempio, se partiamo da Venezia la sera di martedì 22/09 con treno diretto (quindi se

My family has purchased a Global Pass to ride the rails and adventure throughout Europe.  After an exceedingly difficult time figuring out how to plan the trip and finding out that the website and App aren’t linked….I think we’ve accomplished it. We are flying into Spain and traveling from Madrid down to Malaga….a couple of days later, traveling from Malaga to Barcelona by way of Madrid. I’ve received an email saying that both reservations have been cancelled.  No explanation why or if the moneys paid will be refunded or whether or not I should attempt to book different reservations.I’m assuming we’ll be able to travel to our destinations on regional trains?  Is this a safe assumption?Thank you for your help.Donovan

What recommendations for travelling from Trieste back to London, via Paris and Eurostar. Is the Eurorail Pass vald for the overnight sleeper train from Venice or Milan?
