Get ready to travel

I bought regular passes in the Rail Europe Website. Due Covid Pandemic I could not travel and, after almost two years changing e-mails about our passes Rail Europe sent me by e-mail COVID REPLACEMENT passes numbers, issued by Eurail. Our passes were not activated and got now 11 months. Rail Europe just say now that these COVID REPLACEMENT pases are non-refundable and non- exchangable, and I saw the information in this Eurail Community website that  Passes without an activation date will automatically have an additional 12 months added to the original 11 months overall validity and taht I do not need to do anything else and may activate my Pass up to 12 months after the "Must be activated before" date on your Pass at a train station in Europe.  BUT Rail Europe says I just canno use the passes !! Can someone help me please !

Hi, I’m trying to work out if I would be able to reserve two seats on the 24th of July, London to Paris. Any times.I don’t seem to be able to check this until I’ve actually bought the global pass. Is this correct?When I look directly with Eurostar, there are seats available, but I understand that not all of these will have been allocated for pass holders. Feels like a bit of a trick.Realise I’m last minute so maybe it’s just not an option for me.if anyone has any advice I’d be so grateful. The rest of my trip is flexible, it’s just the 24th I can’t move! thnksJo

HiI’ve just come off the ‘phone with Renfe Sales, expecting to be able to reserve a seat on an AVE (Seville - Barcelona) in a little over 50 hours (4pm on the 12th July).The lady on the call said that I could reserve a seat but that:1. It had to be collected and paid for at a Spanish main station by 4pm tomorrow, ie a full 24 hrs before departure. 2. It would only be held until then and that I couldn’t reserve, pay and collect on the day of departure (which would be well within a 48-hour window).I’m in Vilamoura, Portugal and won’t arrive in Seville until 10pm tomorrow. I’d expected to be able to walk into the station at 9am on the 12th and pay & collect. On here (and other sites), I’m seeing advice that says you have up to 48 hours to pay and collect, but that you can’t reserve within 24 hours of departure (and I’ve seen advice that says you can).I’m utterly lost 🤷‍♂️Can one (or more) of you kind individuals who have unlocked this process help me understand the situation here, an

hi. If I have to change a train in between the travel day because of delay, do I have to put the new one in my pass and delete the old? Thx in advance.

I'm looking to go by train to Italy from Germany and it says “supplement required”. Is this included in the price when I book a seat reservation at OBB or DB? Or do I need to pay the supplement even when i have a seat reservation from OBB or DB?

If i take 4 days in 1 month option can I do some days in july and some others in august as long as there is not one month of difference between the first and last day or do they mandatorily have to be in august?

Hi there. We are Swedish citizens and live in Germany. When we bought our passes I put in Germany as country of residence. Our trip starts in Berlin, then down to France and we’re supposed to end in Sweden (traveling through Germany). Is this possible?

I’ve been trying to make reservations for travel from Paris to Caen on Oct. 7, 2023 for days. I just keep getting error messages. What good is a Eurail pass if it’s impossible to make reservations. I want to make reservations from St. Lazare to Caen on Oct. 7 leaving at 11:00 arriving Caen at 13:00.I’m very frustrated with your reservation.

I am wanting to book seat reservations for a direct train from Berlin to Warsaw.  Have checked several sites and am not sure I can do this as cross border.Can I book this on Eurail or do I need to use another site and book 2 different seat reservations ie one for each country.Sorry all a little confusing, hoping someone can help me...TIA

Hi everyone !My friend and I are trying to reserve a train sleepers in Germany. We have seen that we are supposed to go on the deustche banh website according to the steps provided in this link: Frais des trains de nuit en Europe | Interrail.eu. Are we allowed to use TERs that are showing as Complete on the SNCF app?There are a few screenshots of this on twitter eg journeys like Lyon - Genève (entirely on TER)

I would like to take a train from Edinburgh to London and under "reserve seats" on the Interrail website it says that the seat must be reserved for €6 but must be reserved from an external site. If I go to the LNER or GWR website, I can reserve a seat for free, but not on ACP Rail. What is the right option to securely reserve the seat?

I am trying to book the train from Stockholm to Narvik which leaves around 18:10 pm. we are 4 passengers and would like to book the own second class compartment. However we are getting assigned 1 compartment for the 4 passengers when the second class has only 3 beds ? How to book to compartments instead? If we book first for 2 people and then again for another 2 , how can we be sure to be assigned compartments near to each other ? 

Hello everyone, I am soon gonna be starting my journey, but I have a question about the different time zones.As you can see, I will be starting in Brussels.The second train departures at 12:03 which would be too early for me. But there is the different time zone in the UK so is 11:57 the local time?I am sorry if my questions sounds a bit dump, but I am still exploring the Interrail app and I did not find anything about it on the Internet.Thanks in advance!Anna 

PLEASE HELP….. I have a Eurail pass for everyone in our travel party, and want to book / reserve seats for the Monterosso - Tirano trip on the 1st July.  Most sites keep telling me I cannot use my Eurail Pass but need to purchase tickets. Does anyone know whether I need to do this or whether I can somehow reserve seats with my pass?When I go into seat reservations on the Eurail website, it only offers me trips that take 24hours or more, whereas Italia Rail and Trenatalia etc all let me book a great journey (around six hours), but say I need to buy the tickets and in fact say that a pass cannot be used for that trip.I don’t want to miss out on seats, and so will buy tickets now if I need to - but am keen to know if there is some way I can do this and use our passes.Thank you!

Hi I booked the 14.45 D211 train departing Ljubljana for Zagreb Glavni Kolodvor arriving at 17.10 through OEBB website and have reservations made for me and my travel companion. I can't find this train in the planner. Is there something I haven't spotted where I can manually add it to my trip?There are few direct trains available and the longer trains involve 50 minutes walk between border stations. See screenshots attached for more information 

I am trying to make reservations for the pass I just bought. I’m noticing that there’s no direct trains from central Paris (Montparnasse) to central London (Waterloo or close to London Bridge). Will I need to book from Paris Du Nord (default) to London St Pancras (default) instead of the ones I mentioned above and from St Pancras to Brussels Midi instead of Brussels Central and then get a taxi? When I pick the station I actually want, it increases travel time by a lot more than a few minutes it would take to travel between those stations. Not sure what the best option is. thank you.

Hello! I have a US passport but a German residence permit. I would prefer to buy a Eurail ticket over an Interrail ticket, but the terms and conditions have been unclear if that’s allowed, as I am a non-European citizen but a European resident. Could someone clarify the rules for me? Thanks!

Before I can choose which pass I need to buy, I was wondering if the first travel from your home country to the first city and the travel back to your home country counts as traveling days. In other words, if I want to visit 5 cities, do I need the pass for 5 traveling days or the pass for 7 traveling days?

Hi guys! I’m planning to start my route in Rijeka and first travel to Amsterdam which is 23 hours long. I’m wondering does it use more than one travel day off my ticket to travel there? I have to take 3-4 different trains during those 23 hours to get there?

Hello everyone !  I can’t figure out how the France-Germany pass works.Me and my friend want to travel from Lille to Berlin. There is a 22euros fee to book a ticket as seat reservation.  My question is, is these 22 euros for choosing your seat, or to go into the train ?  Now I have another question. If you book in the Eurail app, do you consider you have a ticket or you have to book it somewhere else ?   thank you in advance 

Hello.​​​​​​  ​​​​Is it obligatory to begin your trip from your country of residence? Or can you begin the pass from another country?

This will sound very stupid but I have not booked any seat reservations yet for my interrail trip I am currently on, and I need to travel from Hamburg to Copenhagen tomorrow, 9th of July.Can anyone help with seat reservations? I keep receiving error messages from the interrail website and the countries train line websites.

So what happend?I’m checking my seat reservations and I have two seat reservations for the 12:26 ICE 314 train from Frankfurt am Main to Brussels Midi (South station) on Saturday 12th of August. From there I have two seat reservations for 15:52 THA 9351 to Rotterdam Central station. I bought the ICE seat reservations at OBB. I’m checking the exact train times and the 12:26 ICE 314 is completely missing from the schedules. So what is the best thing to do? How can I change my seat reservations for both the ICE and the THA ?Any help?Thanks in advance !
