Get ready to travel

I have now fixed my Itinerary for Europe as hectic as it goes but this is the best we can do in the space we have seeing all the things we want to see and meeting my son in Rome through to KrakowThe parts not mentioned lon -rome & venice to krakow & Krakow to Munich are flightsWe have set rail journeys we wish to take and here they are below.What i would like to know is apart from Duss to Paris on Thalys and Paris to London on Eurostar ,  do any of these other trips need mandatory reservations on top of the seat cost.I am currently working out if individual train journey tickets for 1 adult and  2 youths 25 and under will cost more than say a 4/6/7 day Eu rail pass. plus any extra like Eurostar reservationThe part i am unsure of is if i get a EU rail pass and apart from the two journeys mentioned above are reservations mandatory if i buy EU rail or not. Does buying a Eu rail pass mean we have to buy reservations for every trip[ Dusseldorf Paris 26th Dec   Paris L

Hi, I have been trying to book 4 tickets from Paris (Gare de Lyon) to Barcelona-Sants on the 13th of August. Every time I try to checkout to pay, the website tells me that there is an error and that I have to find other options. Is there any other way to book those seats?Does anyone have SNCF email o contact ? (I am not in France and they didn´t answer to the phonecall)Thankss

I’m looking to get around small distances over just a week or so.  Successfully did more than two months last year with a Eurail pass for the two of us, but different mode of travel this time… so all I want is to get from Milan to Verona to St Moritz to Leipzig, to Dresden and back to Leipzig to get the overnight train to Zuirch. *over 7 days* Is it worth getting a rail pass, if I can’t get a seven day pass for the overnighter…  What about the Berlina Express?  Ta

Hi! I’ve been reading some topics about the connections to Belgrade. So, my question is: how can I arrive in Belgrade from any country around? Even if there aren’t train connections.

I am ready to purchase an Eurail pass and would like to verify if the phone number I enter at the time of purchase matters. I currently have a Canadian phone #, however will be getting an European phone # once I get to Europe. Will I be able to activate the Eurail pass with the European phone # when I get there, or will I have to use my Canadian phone #, which I will use at time of purchase? Thanks in advance!

Hi there, just a quick feedback for the great Rail Planner app since I found it confusing that travel days are shown next to outbound/inbound days used like this:This may lead to people (at least me ;)) thinking that they have 7 travel days and in addition to that also one outbound and one inbound travel day. Of course, this clears up once you’ve added your first ticket, however I was confused at first and thought: yeah, that’s great, I must have missed this on the website that outbound/inbound travel days are on top (which they are not). Possible solutionsMaybe an info button next to the text “outbound/inbound” would do. It could explain what these days mean and that there are a subset of the travel days. Maybe another representation would be better, e.g. some nested layout, but I don’t really have an idea for that and it shouldn’t overcomplicate the layout. Maybe add the text: “… therefore” (of the 7 travel days) All the best,Dominic

We are travelling from Brussels to Amsterdam tomorrow Sunday 2nd April. Made decision to take cheap intercity. Looking on planner it's now asking to pay supplement. I think for the airport we don't want obviously! Also train now taking 3h 15m instead of 2h 50m. Can anyone tell me do we have to pay this on board or before hand? Do we have to pay if we are not using airport? We are a family of 6. Thanks

Good afternoon, I try to make a reservation for train 195 Hernad, from Kosice (14.01) to Miskolc (15.19) on the 1st of October, first class.Via oebb.at, zssk.sk and cd.cz it is not possible to book this reservation (yet?). On mav.hu it is possible to book a train ticket for this train, but I cannot find an option to book only a seat reservation. On (for example) thetrainline.com it is possible to book a train ticket for this train.Is there another option to make a seat reservation for this train?Thank you :-) ​​​​

Is it a problem during the train check if you have a 1st class train ticket but booked the seat reservation for the 2nd class because there was no free seat in 1st class?

I’ll be heading from Rome to Klagenfurt via Venice. Interrail is telling me that I need to pay €10 supplement fee (2nd class) for the second leg from Venice to Klagenfurt. Upon further reading about supplement fee, it seems that I can pay for seat reservation (€5,5) and it includes the €10 supplement fee. From Interrail websiteMy question is, does this seat reservation (which is optional) include the supplement, or will I still have to pay the €10 supplement fee? Anyone encounter this before?

Hi, Is interrail planning to offer support by telephone in the near future? Hi,im traveling with my wife. I created our trip in the eurail app and added her as a traveler. However, I’m trying to share it with her, so she can have it in her phone. im trying to use the “share as a link” option I see inside the trip, but when use the link and press “save this trip” it just redirect us to the same page and nothing gets added to her app. what am I doing wrong? What can I do so we both can see the whole trip in our phones?

Hello!I’ll be travelling w/ my husband and 3 kids mid july and we plan to take the Bosphorus Express from Bucharest to Istanbul. The tickets seems to be only available at the Bucuresti Nord Rail Station. We will be arriving there only the same day of our departure. As we are 5, I’m a bit stress about getting the 5 couchettes booking only some hours before departure. If someone has feedback to tell me if it’s a busy train or not (especially in July), it would be nice. Thank you ! Anaïs

It is possible to enter in a train without reservation sits and only with your Railpass?

I have to reserve seats on a train starting from Munchen hbf to Innsbruck, have a 1-2 hours stay at Innsbruck (for slight sight seeing), and then finally move to Milano Centrale, on 7th July (morning). So just wanted to confirm,- if I only needed to select the 'seat reservation (no ticket)' option for buying the mandatory seat reservation from Innsbruck to Verona?- is there a better option for covering my route?

Hello, i had to cancell my pass because i coulnd't find train reservations. I only manegd to book one reservation, that i had to pay for in addition to the pass. This reservation cannot be refund. My question is, can i use the train ticket i pad for, after i canceled my pass? Thanks
