Get ready to travel

Hi all!As mentioned above, I'm quite a dummy on understanding how to book trains; especially for the Spanish trains - it doesn't help that I've heard booking Spanish trains are trickier than the others!! I've had a search through the online community, and while helpful, it still doesn't answer some questions for me, like which website I should book, do I need to book in person/over the phone. My bookings are as follows:- May 16: Barcelona to Madrid (afternoon trains, no ticket booked yet)- May 19: Madrid to Barcelona (afternoon trains, no ticket booked yet)​​​​​- May 22: Barcelona to somewhere in Paris (going to Disneyland on 24th, but want to stay as close to Paris Disneyland as possible as our Eurail pass runs out on this date)Thank you in advance!​​​​

I have paid for legs of our trip with necessary reservations but they don’t show up in the planner. It says that there aren’t any reservations. How do I find them? Can you add all the different legs of our travel so that they are on the app? I paid for first class tickets but it seems like we won’t always be able to travel first class so should I change it to second class? I didn’t know that there would be so many additional fees to reserve on top of the eurail pass. 

Hi guys, there is a train line R3 from France to Spain: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/R3_(Rodalies_de_Catalunya)I would love to use that train to go from Paris with the night train to Latour-de-Carol-Enveitg and from there to Barcelona.Google finds the R3 train, but neither the interrail.eu nor the RENFE websites finds the train.https://goo.gl/maps/618FbdJdyV3df1wn6Do you have an idea where I can reserve a seat?

Just looking to do about 10 cities around Europe in the summer just wondering if I had to follow the exact dates to travel to each city or can I spend an extra day than my original plan says?

Hello,We are in budapest and we need to go to zagreb on the first of june, there a lot of trains on the train planner but not the IC 204 (15:35-22:10), although this one is present on OBB website, how can we add it in our app ? Thank you

I accidentally put the wrong name on a Eurostar reservation. My wife and I both have eurail/interail passes, but traveling separately the first couple of days. I accidentally put her name rather than mine on the Eurostar reservation. Can I change it? And how?

Dear helper, The 11th of July we want to catch the 7.34 train from Haparanda to Narvik. But this one can book only to half May! There is no reservation to make on the planner. Does anyone know about this connection? Is it fully booked soon if free? We'll leave from the Netherlands at 30 June and all the other reservations for Sweden and Norway and Germany are booked. What is with this one? (Fortunately in Finland one can travel without reservations)Have fun with travelling!Froukje 

Hi,I think this subject must’ve been covered a thousand times in these forums but I either don’t quite get the restrictions or can’t quite believe a more solid backup solution isn’t available.I currently have my trip (for the whole family) on my mobile phone. It’s a three week trip spanning about 6 countries in Europe. My fear is losing my phone as there appears to be no way of having a back-up. I read somewhere you can transfer your trip details onto another phone but how do you do this if you’ve lost it?! (you can’t seem to have simultaneous duplicates!)The Interrail website doesn’t seem to have a cloud duplicate of your phone app either - this seems crazy but I believe it is correct.Any ideas on what to do (apart from not lose or break your phone) would be very useful. The stress and cost implications of losing your one travel pass is doing my head in!

What are the train and bus apps/services that I can check to see if my interrail trains match? These are the routes I’d like to do:Arlanda airport/Arlanda central station to Soderhamn.  Soderhamn - Uppsala - Soderhamn Soderhamn - Gothenburg - Soderhamn Soderhamn - Copenhagen - SoderhamnI’ve had a look online and Google maps but want a rough idea of pieces (preferably the cheapest option) 

Hi there, I’m finding it difficult to get a refund on reservations made for a train that was cancelled. The DB site links don’t work ( it was booked via DB). Can anyone help please? Many thanks

HiFor TGV 9213 Paris to Mulhouse from Gare De Lyon, how early should I arrive at the station for boarding/checking in pls?Just noticed ticket conditions include printed ticket although I have an e-ticket and luggages must be labelled. How strict are they on enforcing them? Don’t have neither.I’ve 2 transfers from Mulhouse to Zermatt with short transfers in between (8min and 10min), is it gonna be easy to identify and find the next platform at each station?thx 

Am at b/Europe site to book Paris to Zermatt but there’s not option to enter eurail pass?   

When I attempt to make reservations on TGV train from Paris to Milan I get all the way to the purchase then the app says “One of the legs of your journey could not be bookedFeedbackOne of the legs of your journey is not available anymore. Please try searching for another connection”I have tried different trains at different times and still get the same error message. It’s becoming very frustrating as it’s still just under 90 days before the trip and not all the seats could possibly be sold out. Can anyone help? I’m in Australia so not easy to contact service providers in France.

Hi!I have the global interrail pass for 7 days in one month with 2 inbound/outbound days. I already used 6 of my days and 1 outbound journey. That means that I have one travel day left with the inbound/outbound option. The question is. Because I already got back to my country by plane and I still want to use this last day. Can I go for one day by train to a city (in Germany) and during the same day go back to my home country (Poland)? Can it be possible to go in and out from my country during one travel day using the inbound/outbound? 

I found earlier option 30/5 today 11:54 for Paris Lyon to Zermatt with only 2 changes (instead of current 3) on b-Europe site but don’t have option to enter eurail pass for booking. I should be able to cancel existing booking Paris-Mulhouse n get a full refund if cancel before departure, correct?

I bought all the seat that are required in my trip, I would ask if Do I need to buy also the seat reservation that are recommended?

Hello fellow travelers. I am currently planning a trip through (mostly) Sweden with a friend. I want to travel the following route: Copenhagen (Airport) - Malmo - Gotenborg - Oslo - Orebro - Uppsala - StockholmNow I am not sure if I need to buy a Global pass or if the one-country pass for Sweden suffices? I am questioning due to the statement on:https://www.eurail.com/en/get-inspired/top-destinations/sweden-train, where it says that trains to Copenhagen and Oslo would be included - but I really can’t find any more information on this anywhere on the internet. Do you have more information/experiences by chance..?

Hi Community Members,New to the community. Questions:Using 15 days in 2 months Eurail Global Pass, following queries:Florence to Rome before noon; then Rome to Rome Airport in the afternoon. Two trips same day - using one pass day or two pass days? Are reservation fees refundable? Is a reservation linked to a specific train? What happened you need to take a different train, can you transfer the reservation to another train?Sorry to the silly questions.

Is it possible to get off at a stop that is not the destination?ex: I bought an “reservation required ticket” for Padova -  Munich.If I wanted to get off in Salisbury to spend a few hours there and then take a train to Munich, which does not require mandatory reservations, could I do it? Obviously all in the same day, we are talking about 4/5h. 

Hi thereNew to interrail and slightly baffled by the whole thing! My partner and i have 4-day passes. We want to book London St Pancras to Brussels. Have found train we want via interrail.eu; this is linked to our pass details etc. I get to the ‘payment’ stage and still cannot see which seats we’ll be assigned. Is this because there are only a certain number of pass-holder seats available, and you are just assigned whichever seats there are? I just find it strange I cannot see a seating plan or anything; maybe I’m looking in the wrong place? Do I just pay the 60 euros and then find out which seats we have?Apologies, this has probably been answered elsewhere, but I feel like I’m going round in circles! :)

I have just reserved an overnight train that requires paper tickets. I leave for Europe BEFORE my paper tickets are supposed to arrive at my address in Canada. What should I do in order to get those tickets before the scheduled train ride?

Hello everyone,I have a question regarding the transfer of my interrail pass to a new phone. I have my interrail journey planned out for this summer (July) but have recently purchased a new phone. I want to set this phone up but I am afraid that I will not be able to backup/load my rail planner app with the right journey. Will I lose my data if I attempt transferring to a new phone? Does anyone have tips for setting up the app on a new phone without losing my interrail pass or having to manually redo the entire journey. Kind regards,Julian

Hi everyone.I have a 2 month eurail pass and am attempting to reserve seats for trains from Marseille to Avignon on the 13th of August and Avignon to Paris on the 14th. I don't mind what time the train leaves and hence have been attempting all different available trains throughout the days, however, every time I attempt to “proceed to payment” I get a notification stating “One of the legs of your journey is not available anymore. Please try searching for another connection”. I haven't has this issue with any of my other trains, so am unsure why this is occuring.Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks, Jamie
