I am a Philippine citizen but working in Spain with an NIE # and thus a resident registered in Malaga uas Alta Cualificada until October 2024.My partner and six year old daughter who are also Philippine residents are currently visiting me in Spain under tourist visas.Since we want to travel around Europe via train, can we get three Eurail passes, or should I -- as a Spain resident -- have to get an Interrail pass while my partner and daughter get the Eurail Pass? Additional info:As I have a conference in Amsterdam, I am flying from Malaga to Amsterdam and so will my family. From Amsterdam, our plan is to use Eurail pass to travel to France, Switzerland, Austria, and Italy before going back to Spain (either Seville or Madrid), all on train.
Hello,I’ve done a trip once with interrail. So I know the basics, inbound-outbound, travel days, the difference between trip and journey etc. I was using a flexi paper pass back then. Now I am planning to do another trip and I have few questions about the mobile pass.My understanding is that once I activate it (and I need to do this in order to book the reservations) - my trip gets fixed and I cannot change it, i.e. I am going from place A to B on the days X, Y, Z and I cannot change it either to be from place A to C or on days, X, Y, Q.But does it really work like that? I remember when I used paper pass each day I could decide that I want to travel that day and get on that or another train. I had a lot of flexibility.I would like to give an example below:Let’s say I need 4 travel days: 13, 14, 18 and 30th I need to book a reservation for a train on 13th. If I understood correctly, in order to do that I need to submit a trip in the app and activate my pass. From that moment my trip is
I have tried numerous times and do not see seats available for the Thalys High Speed Trains. I am new to this reservation process. It appears all seats would be taken on any High Speed train option from Brussels to Paris. Is that correct? I’m Starting this late to get seat reservations for Late May or early June. Is that correct I’m too late for such a seat reservation? I just want to know so I can plan an alternate route that will take longer and we need to plan adequate time
I’m pretty overwhelmed trying to figure out what passes may be necessary for June 2023 trip for 4 travelers (2 adults, 2 youth). Could someone assist? Generally, I think my questions are:Do we need Global Passes, and what exactly will it cover/not cover of the travel locations below? If not, what do you suggest? Is an extra pass required within Germany, Switzerland, Austria, or Italy? Are there certain times or lines which might require actual reservations? If so, should I book those far in advance or a couple days prior? Below is our itinerary:Day 1 (13 Jun 2023): Arrive at Vienna airport, get to Westbanhof (Might this be covered by Global Pass?), Day 2 - Vienna (will Global pass cover getting to and from Westbahnhof to Stephansplatz/Vienna?) Day 3 - Vienna to Salzburg Day 4 - Salzburg to Munich Day 4-5- In and around Munich (Does Global pass cover travel within Munich, To/From Dachau?) Day 6 - Munich to Zurich, then Zurich to Lucerne (This is where I get really confused. Are Switzerl
So I'm trying to book an outbound trip back to my home country, but whatever I do it won't let me do it. Also noticed that the travel day is being used as an in/out bound journey which should not be the case since it’s a outbound journey... Also the app is so backwards, sometimes it tells me to do actions on the website… For what do you have an app for then?
The interrail app has registered one travel day too many. We are a couple travelling and have travelled on the 19th,21st,23rd,25th of May. We have submitted further plans for 26, 28. and 29. of May. We have interrail pass with 7 train dans, but on mine the 20th is also registered as a travel day, Even though we have not travelled on that day. Then I will not be allowed to travel on the 29th. My wife is allowed to registrerte a travel on that day. This should be our last day on our trip befare we take a flight back to Norway. How can we solve this.best regards Petter Sandstø
Hello everybody! Taking the Eurostar back to London this weekend and have a small query on how to get to London Bridge from St Pancras.... if possible using only the Eurail Global Pass. The Eurail App doesn't show any direct routes but on digging I found this route below: However, since the reliability of the app has come under the clouds during my stay in Spain, thought I would ask here for greater clarity… By the way, my ultimate destination is High Brooms (via London Bridge): Also, if there's another direct way to get to High Brooms from St Pancras International, please do let me know. Many thanks in advance for taking the time to respond. Regards.
Hello, So I made my seat reservations already on eurail website. I then got rail planner app and connected my pass, but the trip from online wasn’t connected for some reason so I made a new one and created all my journeys. However, the seat reservations that I made are not connected to this trip. I have the etickets for the seat reservations, does anyone know if I will be able to get tickets for my journey on the app without the seat reservations linked?
I have a 30-day Global Eurail Pass and I do not want to activate the pass until I get to Denmark on the 30th of May. I want to reserve a couple of trips but I do not want to activate my pass now because I do not want my days to stay yet. However, there are a few trains we're they say they get filled fast and if course these are the trains I will need to stay on schedule My Questions... 1) When I land in Denmark on the 30th of May will a person working at the train station in Denmark be able to help me with reservation from say... Amsterdam to Cologne, Germany or any other country in Europe? 2) Or can a worker in Denmark or some other country only help with Reservations in their own country? 3) Is there a way I can reserve my spot on the train without activating my pass or anything similar to this?Thank you very much in advance!
Hi!I'm trying to reserve a seat/seats on a Warsaw - Paris journey, via Berlin & Frankfurt.I can see the whole journey and each leg, but DB won't let me reserve a seat directly on the website. The issue seems to be the Warsaw - Berlin and Frankfurt - Paris legs, ie crossing the border. If I book separately, it seems that I can reserve the Berlin - Frankfurt leg with no issue (this, paradoxically, is the leg that the 'site refers to as 'high demand') - the other two legs aren't currently that busy.Changing the date, class, changover time... makes absolutely no difference.I had a similar problem booking Warsaw - Rijeka and found that Warsaw - Pszczyna, then Pszczyna - Wien (same train) got around the problem, but no luck here.On the Interrail Rail Planner it specifies that reservation is required for precisely the legs I can't book, but not the one I can(!)Any tips on how to get these legs of the journey reserved?I’ve been told that I may have to go to the international ticket office he
Hello,I would like to book a compartment on the Stockholm - Hamburg with my interrail 2nd class pass.I am searching by entering my pass number, but I only get results in 1st class. Can I make this reservation while making sure that I don't have an extra charge on the day of the trip?I asked this question via chat, but SJ seemed to be unsure...Has anyone been in the same situation? Thanks in advance!Amélie
Hello, I won an Interrail Global Pass via DiscoverEU and would like to use it for travel in the near future. The e-mails from DiscoverEU say I can activate it by 05/31/23 at the latest, so in 6 days and then use it by 06/30/23 at the latest. Now I went into my Interrail app and unfortunately I have to realize that my journey supposedly began on April 30th, 2023, which I didn't know anything about, I haven't even used my pass yet. My question: Is it still possible to change my Global Pass even though it's almost expired?Best regardsKonrad
cant buy seat reservations for any trip through Spain. It says it is not available to buy it on the interrail website itself. How to solve this?
I bought Eurail Pass, but my birthday is wrong, so I want to fix it Who should I ask for a change?
Hi everyone,Hoping someone can give me some insight on the Intercites night trains. I am finding conflicting information and schedules that don’t make sense.I am trying to go from Paris to Latour de Carol on Wednesday, July 19 on the direct night train. There is currently no direct night train showing on this route on SNCF for every weekday in July - only weekends. Same thing with the Paris - Cerbere night train.During the month of June, there are many departures showing for this route every day of the week (including the night train). Is it possible that there are actually far fewer departures during the summer months? I am able to find the opposite route available for booking (Latour to Paris) for any day of the week. Thanks in advance for any insight or advice.
Hello I have purchased an Italy Interrail pass for 4 people. I have reserved seats for two journeys without issue but I am having difficulty booking from desenzano Garda to Florence on 10th August 2023. There are lots of train times up to 6th August but from this time only early morning and late evening journeys are appearing. I looked on trenitalia website and a train around 10am is available but I can’t book it with my passes they’ve said I need to do it on eurail. Can anyone help ?
Hello,I have a question regarding travel days and which pass to purchase. My itinerary will be starting in London then going to 7 other locations. It says we require 8 travel days but we believe it will only be 7. It seems like it is counting London as a travel day even though we will only be leaving from there. Just trying to determine whether to get the 7 day or 10 day pass.
Hi, I have bought an Interrail mobile pass. how and when I will have to book a seat reservation for my travel? And when do I active my pass?thanks
Hi everyone! We are Roger and Sherry planning our first interail journey. We have activated our mobile global passes within the app and we are trying to get used to the eurail app by using our global passes. We have navigated quite well planning different trains and routes where we have to a point used a travel day as requested and downloaded tickets but we can’t reserve specific seats or sleepers. Grateful for any information on what we are doing wrong.
Hello,I need help please,I have booked seat reservations from Vienna Austria to Zagreb on the 14th June 2023.I was trying to book for myself and my friend but both reservations are not together and are both in her name. The system would not allow me to change the seat reservation to my name it kept putting in my friends name. We wanted to sit together too but i fear we are not sitting together. Eurail has told me to contact the railway company directly but being new to reading the European train tickets I cannot find the company. I see Railjet on my ticket? is that the company? Can someone send me a photo of where to find the railway company directly or give me an email address so i can rectify this issue.Thank you
Why can’t i choose Denmark as my country of residence? I am trying to buy some Greek ferry passes.
Hello everyone. I am from Turkey and I was thinking of going to Dimitrovgrad myself (I cannot book to dimitrovgrad from here online as well) and then going to Budapest using Interrail ticket but the train goes through Bucharest on the way. And Dimitrovgrad - Bucuresti seems like cannot be booked online. It says it can only:Book in person at a main station in Europe Reservations only locally at train station in RomaniaSadly, I won’t be around any main station until I am out for my trip and I’m scared the trains will be fully booked ‘till I am there. And opinions on what else I can do?Thanks!
Part of my three months global interrail I will be based in Northern London, close to suburban Mill Hill Broadway railway station, served by Thameslink. From there, for instance, I have a direct connection to Tate Modern. It has gates, like many other stations in and around London. You can't open them with your ticket, so you need railway staff.(I do not mean the tube stations, were interrail is not valid.)My question is: does anybody has experience with such railway stations, where there any difficulties? Was there always staff to help you in or out? Do they know interrail is valid?I'm a little bit worried, because I'm from the Netherlands, where we have, in my opinion, quite a hostile gate system. And in another topic somebody mentioned problems getting into the Elisabeth Line, where interrail is valid. On the other hand, traveling through London before (with Oyster card), British staff was always friendly, very helpful and they usually managed to make me happy. Thanks for experiences
