Hi there,After searching these forums for quite some time, I did find questions related to mine, but I still do not know what to do.I will be travelling in and out of my country (The Netherlands) twice in the two months that I will use my Interraill pass. The Interrail out- and inbound journeys are clear, but this is about the second out- and inbound journey. My wife, two kids and me will take the ICE from Utrecht towards Mönchengladbach (and change there). My kids travel for free in the Netherlands with their OV Chipkaart and my wife and I have no discount whatsoever. What ticket do we buy in the Netherlands and how to we make the registration in the app? Do I buy tickets from Utrecht to Venlo? To Kaldenkirchen (where it will not stop)? To Mönchengladbach? It seems logical that the answer to that question will dictate what part I register in the app for interrail travel, but is that really true? And how do we do the same for our return journey? We will be on a Dusseldorf - Venlo train th
Hi, today I started traveling with Interrail. In the morning everything was okay, but suddenly everything disappeared from the app and there is a description that the Pass is no longer connected. I logged out via my passcode again and in the app I see two trips (my old one and a new one named Trip), in the old one there are three days out of four used and in the new one 1 out of 4 I would like to get back my new one but there is no option to change it and it says that this trip is not connected to my pass. How come that my pass and trip disconnected form each other, is my pass still valid? Please, I would be very grateful if you helped me because I am abroad and I have no idea what to do.
Hi everyone. My name is Deb and I’m very new to train travel. My husband Steve and I both in our late 50s are travelling from our home in Australia to a wedding in UK in the June and are planning to tour Europe after that . We have purchased Global 2 month passes. I am starting to get the hang of everything and got us as far as Berlin with reservations etc ! I am trying to book from Berlin to Krakow and have read previous posts regarding not being able to reserve seats with DB. My question regards the EC57 train on 23/6/2023 at 1052. Is it likely to get fully booked if I can’t reserve seats until we are in Europe and if it is what the best alternative way of doing the trip on that date. Would really appreciate advice… ( took a lot of persuasion to get my husband to travel this way so I want it to go as smoothly as possible haha)
It looks like Trenitalia have increased the price of Frecce reservations from €10 to €13. ÖBB now mention €13 for most Frecce, although some (still?) appear for €10.Italiarail still show €10, but if you then you continue to book, it will change to €13. Seat61 has also changed the price to €13 on most of the pages, so I guess it has really changed.Intercity reservations in Italy seem to remain at €3.EC reservations from/to Switzerland seem to remain at €11/€13.
With the global pass, is it mandatory to use one travel day to leave the country and one to return? Can I return from my trip by plane if I have used up the 7 available travel days?
Hello,my residency is in Leipzig, Germany. Here is my itinerary:24.05.2023 Leipzig to Zürich26.05.2023 Zürich to Innsbruck to Leipzig (I want to spend some hours in Innsbruck and then travel back to Leipzig, but I have to transit in München, Germany during my trip from Innsbruck to Leipzig). Would it be possible to use the ticket as an inbound journey? can I use my ticket from München to Leipzig?thank you
do I have to activate the pass already even if I want to leave in 2024 but I'm not sure the date? What if you activate it but can't start?
I’m organising the trip that I’ll do in the mid in July with the interrail pass. I didn’t understand well how the booking works. Can I book all the tickets (also the one with reservation seats) in the interrail app? Or is it not a reliable? Because I’ve read some comments that said that it is better to make the reservation with other apps.
I want to travel from Amsterdam Schiphol to Marseille via the TGV. I want to buy the global pass. Are all fees included or do I still need to pay extra?! I cant seem to find it.
fyi, I’ve contacted both eurail/interrail, and SNCB (b-europe.com) already. Eurail said it’s not their issue to deal with, as it was booked through b-europe, and I’m waiting for a response from b-europe.The issue:I booked a seat reservation on the eurostar, throug b-europe.com. The transaction went through, it appears on my card statement, yet I haven’t received the reservation. I’ve contacted customer service to try and track it down. It's been 7 days since the purchase. My main concern is that the other reservations are sold out for that day already. It’s the last day of my pass, and this was my train back home, so I’m not able to travel a different day instead. Hopefully b-europe can track down the issue. My question is, what are my options if they don’t?I already have travel insurance, and the purchase was on a credit card, so I can pursue this through my bank as well. However, currently I’m going to be kind of stranded with no way to get back. If I had to book a full-price eurostar
Hi, so my friend and I are traveling to the greek islands next week and have just received our 4-day paper-passes. We are trying to fill it out correctly, but we are confused by the line about inbound and outbound travels. As far as I have understood, those are the trips you take to and from your country of residence. But we will only be using our pass in Greece, and therefore wont be traveling in our home country, so are we just supposed to leave the space blank?
Hello. I am traveling in 24 hours, and I have not activated my pass yet. I just checked my pass, and it says that my birthday is one day off. What should I do. I filled out a form regarding my issue. Should I activate my pass and go on the trip?

Hello, I`m traveling with my son and got to passes in my app. Our first travel day was canceled because of train delays caused by strike and we hade to fly to our destination. I am wanting to go from Split, Croatia to Vienna, Austria in August. But when booking, only a paper pass is available but it will not get here on time. What can I do? I am needing a mobile pass / pass sent to email.
Hey folks! It’s my first time purchasing a Eurail pass so I want to be sure I’m doing this correctly. I’ll be driving around with a friend in England and Brussels where my solo travel begins. From Brussels I want to use the pass to take the train to Amsterdam, and then several other places next (Brussels> Amsterdam> Berlin> Cologne> Luxembourg City> Paris). So my question is, when booking the Eurail pass do a select my first city as Amsterdam since it’s my first destination, or do I select Brussels as my starting location? I appreciate the help! I also read something about the inbound/outbound trips; can anyone elaborate? Lastly, since this is my first trip, if anyone has some broad pointers or insider tips to share, I totally welcome them!
Hi everyone, I tried booking seat reservations for the tgv from Paris to Strasbourg on the day the tickets were released but the train I wanted was sold out straight away!. I called scnf and the lady said I can buy first class reservations, which I did as I was worried we'd get stuck otherwise. But now I'm worried we will have problems on the train as our passes are second class. She said this is no problem as the reservation is an upgrade but it would put my mind at ease if anyone could confirm this is okay?
Hey! I am messaging you because I have a question regarding he FlexPass.I want to go to Italy this summer and I found 2 very good suggested traveling plans on the app with just one transfering. But the first one departures at 5pm from Hungary and 7 days after the other train departures at 10pm from Italy. Is it still possible to use the Pass at that time?Looking forward to hear from you :)Andi
I have been wanting to book the high speed Florence - Milan train in August but they do not seem to be running after the 6th. Does anyone know if there planned engineering works affecting this line? I have tried to find out but thought I would ask on here as I’ve not had much luck.
I purchased a senior 1st class global pass. When I planned my trip from Zurich Airport to Grindelwald, the trip from Zurich Airport to Interlaken Ost is covered, but the train from Interlaken Ost to Grindelwald is not included in the pass, which I can still add it to my trip. Can I pay and buy the ticket from Interlaken Ost to Grindelwald at the Frankfurt Flughafen station or should I buy it only after arriving at Interlaken Ost?
Family 4. Planning to go to Amsterdam, Paris, Barcelona, Rome starting from Kaiserslautern, Germany. How many days of Global Pass or Interrail pass should I get? We want to travel by train or bus. Thank you.
I am traveling to Germany from Jun 1 to Jun 8. Arriving in Berlin for 2 nights, then on to Dresden for 1 night, Munich for 2 nights and finally Frankfurt for 2 nights. During my stay I want to be able to get around the cities to visit various places. I was thinking I needed a 7-day consecutive pass but the eurail site said I only needed 4. Can someone help me understand what I need? In Switzerland I can just buy a Swiss Travel pass and its good for all modes of transportation (train, bus, boat).
Hi My partner and I have bought rail passes through Eurail ; and are using it for our trip through Spain All of our trips are on fast trains and need to apparently book seat reservations ASAP ; however we live in Australia and cannot get to a Spanish train station to make the seat reservations How do we going about reserving seats for the trips ? We have the eurail planner app and we have both marked our trips out and and attached to our eurail passes on the app , but I assume that doesn’t mean that we have a guaranteed spot on the train Any help would be greatly appreciated Thankyou very much
