I am American and will be taking the train from London to Frankfurt in April, changing trains in Bruxelles-Midi (Belgium). How much time will I need to change trains in Bruxelles-Midi incorporating the time needed for the new EES system. Thank you.
Hi AllOur first post!In September we (wife and I plus a 3 year old and 9 month old) are travelling London - Paris - Bern - Karlsruhe - Brussels - London I've had limited train travel experience in Europe. Do trains typically have space for pushchairs or when booking reservations do I need to request specific spaces? Ideally I would like us all sat together on the train. Again, when booking is there something I should be selecting when buying reservations? Thanks in advance
Hello! I’m traveling with with an Interrail pass that I got from DiscoverEU, however I can’t seem to find my pass number ANYWHERE! I haven’t gotten a confirmation email or anything like that and I’m really lost on how I’m supposed to active my pass on the app without a pass number! please help me :(
Hello, I have the eurail global plus pass class 1. And I want to buy a sleeper ticket from Nice to Paris. But the website shows there are two same class name while one is free and the other need one point. Is there something wrong? How can I book a sleeper one? I’ve attached the screenshot.
Hello, since one week I try to find a way to make a reseration for train ECE 151 from Freiburg/Germany to Milano. But neither at Interrail.eu nor directly at Bahn.de can I get a reservation for a seat. How can I manage that? Or is the train not free for a global pass Interrail? Please help me.
I seem to have missed out on tickets for 31.07.26 for 31st July from Milan to Paris, which I understand became available 150 days before, so 2 days ago. If I can’t get tickets to travel on this date through another suitable route I’ll be looking to travel this route on the soonest date afterwards. Does anyone know if tickets become available at midnight in the UK 150 days before? Are they likely to have sold out because Europe has access to the same tickets earlier because of the time difference? Any advice appreciated.
Hello. I’m planning a 3 week trip stretching from Barcelona to Belgrade, and was planning to take the train through the south of france and north of italy. I’ve heard a lot on here about the issue of rail pass vs just buying individual tickets, especially in France, Spain, and Italy. I was wondering if there is any advantage at all to buying a rail pass in these places on this time frame?
Just wanted to share my personal experience with ticket gates on my interrail trips so far. This post is inspired by the earlier question regarding the gates in spain for trains without reservations (Cercanias) Italy open with the QR-Code from your Interrail Pass but only once a day at the same station? (maybe it is also a shorter time frame, just personal experience and not official info) Switzerland The only gates i encountered were at the cable car from Lauterbrunnen to Grütschalp and to my surprise the interrail Pass QR code worked. (Surprising because i dont think any other routes that accept interrail in switzerland have ticket gates)Netherlands Turning off NFC can be required for regular PDF-Tickets (The interrail app automaticly turns it off while the QR Code is displayed so you dont get that problem with Interrail) (In my case the NFC Ticket from Paris subway was most likly interfering)But i dont remember having problem on my way back from the netherlands where i used interrail
I am trying to boom a coach AND I have a 2nd clases Global Eurail Pass. When Booking ONU seats options aré shown. How van I booked a Coach? Thanks
Hi! I'm planning an Interrail trip this summer (around August) with 3 friends. We were wondering if it's a good idea to sleep on the train for one night (for example from Amsterdam to Berlin) to save money, or if it's better to book accommodation. Also, would you recommend reserving seats in advance, or is it usually fine without reservations?Any advice or personal experiences would be really helpful. Thanks! :)
The station of Renfe Cercanias’s Tres Cantos does not appear automatically in the app so I entered it manually, the app gave me the QR but this QR was not able to get read at the entrance at Madrid-Recoletos station, the attendant at the station told me that Cercanias was not included in Eurail pass but the list shows it as included. Does someone knows what to do?
I've been waiting until it was 150 days before departure before booking my seats (which was today, it had been saying they were bookable 150 days before departure) but now when I try to book Paris - Lausanne (switzerland) there are no trains with reservations able to book. Am I missing something?I’m looking for the 29th July.
Since my wife and myself started interrailing again three years ago, we always used paper passes as I did already more than 40 years earlier. This year we want to travel Great Britain and I wonder if we better switch to mobile passes this year as the ticket barriers present on many British station can probably read the QR-codes generated when adding a journey to the pass. And we would not need assistance of a station staff member to enter or exit the platform. Are there any experiences with Interrail/Eurail passes and British ticket barriers?
I created a trip on the website. Linked to my email and the account i bought passes. It’s a trip for 4 people and i have used my account to buy all the passes. When i added my pass to the app, it does not have my trip assigned.Anything i am doing wrong?
Hello everyone. The interrail.eu website keeps telling me that tickets are open for sale 90 or 150 days prior to departure. But this morning i got up at 6:45 to purchase a ticket on the 27th of july and it was already sold out. Do the tickets for a day have a specific time they open for sale, or do you know of a website where one could purchase them prior to when they open for sale on interrail.eu? Help would be much aprreciated:)
Bahn.com, B-europe.com, and Eurostar themselves show a train from London to Brussels on 14 March at 07:04 - but when I try to book it on the Interrail reservations page, it seems to have vanished?! [Yes I checked a few minutes before on B-Europe that Interrail passholder fares *were* available].Any ideas? I want to book with the Interrail website as they seem to have the cheapest fees, E2 per trip.Thanks.
I just spotted a posting which has somewhat alarmed me. It was referring to new restrictions that had come into place at Tirano if travelling toward St Moritz and Chur. It would appear that there was a very long queuing system in place for people without seat reservations resulting in people not catching their planned train.Admittedly we will not be travelling on this line until September, and it is not clear whether or not this was just a temporary arrangement. Even so, we have very little flexibility in our journey plans and so don’t want to take any risks. (Our intention is to take the 9.41 from Tirano to St Moritz and then the 12.47 from St Moritz to Chur.)My question is how do I go about buying seat reservations for these trains. I went onto Rail Europe to see how to book seat reservations. (Not for our actual trips - as these are not yet available, but for comparable journeys in May). However because reservations are optional all it said was ‘FREE’ and I could not see a wa
Good day,I have (iPhone) passes for me and my wife. We are planning a trip from UK throughout France, Switzerland into Italy in May. I have most of our train reservations in place (Glacier Express and Bernini Express not available in I/R site. Can I just use prints of the seat reservation “tickets” I have received via email? Or how do I add these journeys onto my pass? Also we are still waiting for two services in Italy to come on to the schedule, can I just board th4ese trains by showing our IR passes on our phone. It is all very confusing. Thanks for your help
We have a 15 days in 2 months pass, and the My Trip section is beginning to fill up. Making it a bit cumbersome to scroll down to the next active travel day. I started deleting the journeys taken in the past, but noticed that they then also disappear from the past tickets. So I ended up adding them back again as I don’t know if they are relevant and must stay in the app. I had assumed that the travel in the past is locked and cannot be removed from the tickets. Therefore my question: can I safely remove them from My Trip, just to make this section less cluttered? Or do I have to keep them all in? The FAQs have nothing on this topic.
Hello, we are travelling in May and June without a return date which we intend to decide en route but probably the last week in June. Does anyone know if it is difficult to find a Eurostar reservation around this time with just 2 weeks notice. Thanks in anticipation. Gip
Hi! I have an interrail card via DiscoverEU/erasmus. I booked a train ticket from Bruxelles-Midi to London St Pancras Intl for Tuesday, 16 June 2026 at 20:21-21:57. I reserved a seat with one of my free seat reservation credits. I got an email with my order confirmation and receipt, however I cannot open the PDF with the actual seat reservation QR Code/ticket. It just says that an error has occurred. I was wondering if there were anyway for me to fix this problem or get a new pdf? My order number is R2026101291
Hi allLooking at reserving a 2nd class couchette on this service for four people. On the sncf booking site it appears I can still get a private space (Espace Privatif), but here I can’t tell if one of the above prices is for a private couchette. Any ideas? If not, do we know what the price difference is?Many thanksPaul
Hello there,We are planning on travelling from Brussels to Salzburg on the NJ469 June 1st. When we were planning our trip last week, we were able to book onto the June 1st service. However this weekend, we were going to sort out all out seat reservations and accomodation and a key part of our trip (this night train) we are unable to reserve our seats.Looking online there is extensive maintenance works on the lines and many of the services prior are also showing un-reservable. With June 3rd being the first train in a while where you can actually book again. Just wondering if anyone has any information on the confidence on this service becoming available again (as it appeared last week)? and when would OBB likely provide confirmation of this service?I have set up an alert through the OBB website, but given we have booked certain trains, it would be good to know sooner rather than later regarding this service.Thank you in advance
The Interrail website shows reservation fee indications. Before I purchase a pass, I want to check the precise cost of reservations on specific Eurostar trains (I assume they are more expensive on busier trains). But to do that I need to book a journey, and to book a journey I need to add a traveller, for which I need a Pass number. Is it possible to check the price of specific seat reservations before buying a pass?
