i need step by step instructions on how to book and pay for a reservation using the eurail app. I was able to create my trip but it requires a reservation and I cannot figure out how to do it.

Greetings!I bought a 2-months Continuous Global Pass. I am going to travel for two months exactly. My trip will begin on early June.Therefore, I am bit concern about when to activate the Pass.Does anyone there know if I activate the Pass now, the ‘Timer’ will start ticking from today? So that the Pass will expired on 29 June, even my trip have NOT start jet? 

Hi! I'm trying to book seats but is impossible in the eurail website. Do you know if I can book the seats anywhere else? I want to reserve seats from Brasov to Budapest.From Wien to Berlin.From Amsterdam to Paris.From Paris to Milano.And from Milano to Venezia. In August.Thanks a lot!

My last eurail pass was in 1983!  I’ve found EC52 direct from Milano to Spiez on July 10 at 11:20 in the Rail Planner app.  When I go to book a reservation using the website, the direct train to Spiez doesn’t appear. The route when using the website reservation system has me changing in DOMODOSSOLA and again in Brig.   My question is if I can just get the reservation from Milano to Domodossola on EC52, and then stay on that direct train without a reservation on to Spiez.  Thanks so much, Tom

Hello,I am resident of Hamburg Germany and I have purchased an Interrail pass. For my journey from Hamburg to Frankfurt, it is being shown as an inbound/outbound trip, which I find confusing.  I would like to use 2 days in the pass for inbound/outbound journeys as Hamburg to Prague and Prague to Hamburg. If my Hamburg-Frankfurt journey is incorrectly marked as inbound/outbound trip, I would not be able to make reservations for the Hamburg-Prague-Hamburg trips. Please guide me how it works. Thanks and regards,Hrishikesh

I can not add my journey or a traveller. When i add a journey, it says i just have to add the traveller (myself). When i do that, it says i have to add a journey. and so on…I don`t know what to do..All my journeys i tried to create are cancelled (it says they are already done?)

Hi everyone, I want to book a nighttrain between Stockholm and Hamburg. According to the Interrail’s planner, it should be possible (from 39€) but after buying my pass, it seems that there is no day where it is available (always “Seat reservations required from NA”). I try on sj.se too but even when there are some place available, there is no discount with the Interrail pass. Does anyone know how it is possible to book these trains (my pass is useless otherwise) ?  Thanks in advance

So I am planning a trip over 12 days. I plan to do a Round trip between Krakow and Auschwitz on the 16th and then take a night train to Prague (the same evening). Then I plan to take a train from Prague to vienna on the 20th, followed by a train from Vienna to Munich on the 22nd, then a night train from Munich to Paris on the 25th. I currently have a 5-day in a month pass to be safe but I am wondering if I should get a 4, especially because the train to Prague was initially going to be the next day. The money saved would be very nice (I bought the 5-day when it was $310 back in February).Also, unrelated to the original but the Train between Krakow and Prague has some disruption to the line. My Chzech knowledge is nonexistant and I cannot tell if the disruption will affect the scheduled night train.Thanks!

I’m currently trying to decide if I should buy the 2 month continuous rail pass, or the 15 in 2 month pass. I’ve worked out all my itinerary and transit. Considering ONLY transit between each big city destination I would save around €175 by choosing the 15 day option. This is doing all my math to consider which trains require reservations and so on.I am hesitating because I’m wondering how much I would use the EuRail pass once I am actually AT my destination. I know I cannot use the pass for busses or metros, but I can still use them for trains (including if I wanted to add any last minute day trips into my itinerary). I’m debating whether the flexibility with the continuous pass is financially worth it, and if its worth it because of savings when I’m actually in each city. My question to the community - is the pass worth it while you are in the city? Hi everyone, I am helping 2 friends, who are 1st time Eurailers, with the ‘benefit’ of my experience of 4 years ago.😬 They are travelling from Italy-France-Italy in June. They have the first trip sorted (La Spezia to Como San Giovanni), but we're having problems with seat reservations from Como SG to Lyon on 16 June. We can book the 1st leg from Como SG (dep 0904) to Basel (arr 1256) or Como SG (dep 0950) to Zurich (arr 1227), but not onward to Lyon. This is using OBB website, following instructions from other topics.RailPlanner app says that 0904 trip from Como SG needs a seat reservation from Como-Basel and Mulhouse (dep 1357) to Lyon (arr 1656). The 0950 trip from Como SG needs seat reservations from Como SG-Zurich, Zurich-Dijon and Dijon-Lyon.Even if I break down the sectors, as other posters have suggested, OBB says ‘no ticket available’ for both options (only Basel-Mulhouse-Lyon shown below).Basel-MulhouseMulhouse-LyonWhat are we doing wrong, or is it too soon to make this booki

Dear community,I wanted to activate my mobile pass in the app yesterday (last day to be activated), however, the app-activation unfortunately did not go through (seemed to be a technical issue). Now it just says the pass is expired in the app :(Is there any possibility to get the expired pass re-activated for the remaining time of the 3months? Unfortunately, I could not find a phone number to talk to somebody in person and could only send a general request. Hey everyone! I am looking at book an interrail pass for Switzerland travel, but I’m not really sure if its worth buying first class or not. There is quite a difference in price so I’m wondering if this is significant?From what I can see, the majority of posts are regarding space allowance but if its just for travel in Switzerland does this really matter?I am travelling with my boyfriend so I guess I wont be able to sit with him either?Is there any benefit price wise with reservation fees when you book first class? Thanks in advance!

Hi everyone, Myself and my boyfriend are travelling to Switzerland from Ireland at the end of this month and I was trying to work out travel for our journey.We are staying in Grindelwald one night but are going to do paragliding in Interlaken the day after.I cant find any information on travel from Grindelwald to Interlaken or return with this pass.Does anyone know how I complete this journey or if there's a supplement I can buy with the interrailing pass?

Hi,Still struggling with train connections from Stockholm towards Copenhagen, this has turned out to be the hardest section to plan. We have seat reservations for the 8.24 Snälltåget 3941 from Stockholm to Malmö on June 17th and plan to continue from Malmö to Copenhagen on the 15.33 Öresundståg 1093. Just want to make sure that our Interrail global passes will be valid on both these trains? The SJ couldn't answer my question although we booked the seat reservation from them.

Sorry this is probably a silly question but given we are doing some very long trips I want to ensure that Premium Class means I can book First Class Seats on trains THanks in advanceChristine

Hey Everyone,I am trying to book the night train from Krakow to Prague and it leaves at 22:42 and arrives at 7:31 the next day. After checking on polrail, it seems that the train does not actually switch, and that you end up staying in the same car, but it changes operators and switches tracks in Bohumin. The app views this as a switching connection, and as such, it’s requiring me to spend 2 travel days despite it not actually switching. I would think since it’s technically a single train, it shouldn’t count as multiple days.Do I actually need to activate the second half of the trip as long as I get the reservation via polrail and flip the initial switch in the app for Krakow - Bohumin? Is there a way to do this without the app using 2 travel days?

HiI’m trying to book a couple of Nightjet trains using a pass on OBB’s website.The system is not showing single cabins as available, but showing places in double cabins.The strange part is when I change the search to 2 passengers the same places in 2 berth compartments show. It’ll let me book them and go through to the credit card page. Question is will these be allocated in the same cabin? Thank you!

Hi travelers, I need help with the HOW of adding multiple passes to the app on one device.  Here’s what I’ve got so far: I am traveling with my family--two adults, one child--and have purchased Eurail Global passes. I’ve downloaded the app, added MY pass, and linked it to a trip.  I can see in FAQs that I am *able* to add multiple passes to one device. However, I cannot figure out HOW to do this. Where do I go in the app to add the passes for my partner and child?  Thank you!
